I'm 60 years old and will admit I've lived a rough life. I've listened to every type of music out there and Chris is one of the few that can bring me to tears when I listen to him sing. He has a true gift that is so powerful and can really make you emotional, I wish him great success he has a very bright future.
Chills. Literal chills, watery eyes and endless smiles. This version hits you right in the feels and doesn't let up in its simplicity. This might be one of the best examples of the power that music can have on a listener's mind, body, and soul.
Chris’s ability to color the dynamics in his vocal is simply spectacular. The level of control and confidence over your voice while innately being able to place a perfect note core and color it with nuance and never drop that core pitch is just breathtaking. Seriously, not many well seasoned singers can pull this off with such smooth perfection. This aspect of his singing ability so perfect that it simply has to be a musical instinct within him because I’m not sure that’s something you can just practice if that makes sense. I really think that is the major key to the beauty of his voice and singing prowess within his extraordinarily broad limits. The ability to color your range with emotionally accurate nuance and pull it off as absolutely genuine is a rare gift and Chris has that gift in a very unique and almost unlimited way. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Hi Elizabeth, I remember hearing John's original on the radio back in the mid-70s, and this will be my first time listening to this cover almost 50 years later. Chris is an amazing singer, and I can't "Imagine" a better rendition of this song, but I'm sure there are other covers to discover. Thank you, Elizabeth!!! 💙
Please react to another great swedish singer: Tommy Körberg, singing "Anthem". He has such a unique and powerful voice and he is self taught (!) "Anthem" is from the musical "Chess" and is written for Tommy.
There’s a million versions of old Tommy performing this piece on RUclips, but only a few where he’s in his prime. I would suggest this one from 1990 in the original key. He had to lower it in the 2000s because he just couldn’t hit the high notes anymore. ruclips.net/video/Pdap50L3Jtc/видео.html
Thank you so much for doing an analysis of Chris Klafford. I never heard of this guy before and, had it not been for your analysis, I would have missed out on one of the most talented people I have heard on RUclips in years!
9:28 Oh those flickering eyes Elizabeth OMG.... Eh... great reaction too... Pliz react to more Chris Kläfford! He deserves to be heard!!! Be safe Björn

Us Swedes (among others) have been waiting for you to come across Chris for a while now , Elizabeth :) Your video was lovely, thank you! His cover of Ocean eyes is outstanding, please have a listen to it. I recommend viewing more of his songs! Along with a "wildcard" : Tommy Körberg.
Here I am, trying to invent a time machine to come and tell you at around 9:30 that being amazed at this man's voice and ability to use it has only started :D
Only cover of that song I have ever liked. But I knew if Kris was doing it, he wouldn't release it until he thought it was perfect. That last high note he hits is crazy
I am not sure who is recommending you the songs to react to but everything you do is right up my alley. Love it, it kind of feels like all of those songs that really touch your heart and you want to share them with the people that you are close to but often times they are not as influenced by the music. Here you can experience this with Elizabeth as she really gets it. Thank you for the awesome content.
Most touching reaction i've seen of Chris. Fell in love with Kläffords voice all over again and the person who reacted aswell. I've cried so many times to this rendition and once again i did. She had so much musical knowledge and a beautiful soul. ❤
Love this version by Chris and your analysis is just perfect. Thank you. He has done so many good covers and originals. One that I specifically liked was when he did his version of Aviciis "Wake me up" on Swedish television right after he passed away. The circumstances and his version really gave that song a totally new meaning to me. Keep up the good work 👍
I completely enjoy your reaction videos. Not only do you instruct on methods and techniques artists are doing (sometimes I wonder if the artists themselves consciously know they are doing what you describe), but you also bring out nuance that only a trained ear could hear. This amplifies the experience for me - even on a song I’ve listened too many times. Your smile is wonderful to see, every time. If I were a student of yours (won’t every happen because I can’t even carry a tune in a bucket), I would strive everyday to win that smile. Please keep doing these videos. I truly love them.
Every single word has a meaning, a purpose, it's own important role when Chris sings this. The way he emphasises the words with different techniques are just brilliant. I get chills and treats in my eyes every time I hear this. So good and an incredible analysis and breakdown of it! Thank you, Elizabeth!
@Lord Phontaroy Interpretations are always unique and had nothing to do with the writer's intention. And nobody but John himself knows his intentions. Whatever they were the meaning of the words is that of love, unity and freedom, about the human potential and of peace, and they don't stir up any communistic desires in me, and probably not in most other people either, so it seems that if that was his intention he seriously failed. You can choose to let whatever you believe ruin what could have been a beautiful and wonderful moment, but do you really think the world is becoming a better place by intentionally trying to ruin other people's experiences too? Because John's song is spreading love, your comment is spreading the opposite. In my book he's the winner, whatever his intentions were. Because we get to choose how we interpret it. Whatever your intentions were I get to choose how to view it. Just like you get to choose how to view the song.
@Lord Phontaroy I didn't take it any specific way other than I think it's knowledge that isn't useful because that's not how most people interpret the lyrics, and it's how we interpret it that matters, not the original intention with it. Nobody other than me can choose to have my experience ruined, which is point I was making. YOU choose to have your experience ruined, not the original intention with the song. YOU have the choice to see the intention for love and peace that is the message, even if John's personal view of how to achieve that was through communism. His intention and the message is one of love and appreciation and that we do have the option to choose peace. We choose where we focus and how we see it. I choose to see this song for what it is, a love song to life.
Soo cool to see you react to Chris, just loves his voice! Heard this song a hundred times and still get goosebumps, almost a bit jealous that you get to hear something as good as this for the fist time!
Nobody can beat Kris Klafford in my eyes and he makes this song special. I have not heard a voice like his before, truly unique!I have loved his vocals since he did this on AGT!
I was so excited when i saw you were about to watch this. I discovered that video about a month ago and as a musician/singer myself he damn near made cry with this. SOOO GOOD!! Your reactions and analysis to Chris Stapleton and now this are a true joy to watch, I look forward to more👍
"I think it's hard to imagine a more perfect version of this song and that's because every bit of the vocal execution really seem to be aimed at heightening the message". That's a perfect way to describe the flawless performance of Chris' rendition of "Imagine", the best ever rendition I've heard of this timeless classic! It really is breathtaking, as is Chris as a performer! Absolutely phenomenal professional reaction. 25 very enjoyable minutes! Thank you! Please consider reacting to more from Chris Kläfford!
In true Swedish style he uses his abilities to make the song shine instead of, which is the norm nowdays, use the song to make himself shine. His competition version on AGT is an example of the latter, which it of course should be! It was a competition.
Welcome to the party! I've been waiting for you to find your way to Chris :) I hope you keep reaction to him and his wonderfull voice, he has alot of music out there both originals and amazing covers!
I heard Chris live in a concert hall. I was at the back of the audience and this guy didn't need the mic. It did him such a disservice that he skipped the mic and just let the acoustics of the hall bring his voice forward. It was amazing.
Chris hits people right in the feels. I think a lot of it is his tone and power, but even more the endless time he's obviously put into his craft to meet every word with forethought and care.
Anything Chris does is Gold, I’’m a huge fan. “In the Silence” is another good one , or “Either way” has great grit and “Ocean eyes” is full of falsetto candy!
Thanks for sharing with us how you appreciate Chris from multi angles on his talent, practice and technique. The combination of his flexibility and possibility makes it such a unique song of his own. We feel great.
I filmed Chris at xponorth in Inverness (Scotland) in 2016 as part of the live TV studio when I was a student. Chris was the standout performance of many excellent bands. Thank you Elizabeth for the reaction. Alan
I love the eloquent way you describe music and vocals like you're tasting fine wines at a vineyard in the south of France as the sun is setting... Subscribed.
So happy for this reaction to Chris Klafford. I agree with you, he has a perfect voice. He jumped to the top of my list so much talent and beautiful execution. Please do more reactions to his recordings.
I listen to music since I have memory, but since I started watching your videos, I can realize that I listen differently... Thanks for sharing your knowledge and, especially, your love for music! Just keep being you!
Chris has an amazing instrument for conveying emotions. I see some other people encouraging you towards more of his music, and I too would love to see that. Tennessee whiskey and ocean eyes are my personal favorites. But he has a duet with Anna ferm (I think) girls just wanna have fun that is very nice too:-)
The way he applies gruffly nature of his voice to very strategic points allows you to feel the wisdom and the pain suffered to gain that wisdom. So amazing!
I’ve never seen a single cut on any of your videos. Amazing ability to react without losing your thoughts or missing a beat with your thoughts. Love it…as always.
After the first lines when she said something like "that's such a beautiful alteration from the original melody" I was thinking... You ain't seen nothing yet! I really REALLY loved his take on this wonderful song.
I've been watching a lot of reactionvideos of this song and I have to say your reactionvid is the most detailed and explaining video i've found and I really love your reactions 👌 Subscribed.
Oh No!! And I just saw another comment doggin' on your stopping. I for one happen to like the stopping. That's why I'm here. Reaction and ANALYSIS!!! I've learned a lot about listening to voice and music from your stops. Keep on doing your thing Elizabeth!!!! ❤
I love watching your reactions when someone does something amazing music is not only an art its a passion with out the passion it is simply a rhythm like a heart beat still beautiful yet lacking feeling you have a pure passion for music and i love it would love to hear you sing sometime
Chris Kläfford is a great example on how much vocal practice can do. If you search "Chris Kläfford all idol auditions" you can see how much he's progressed through the years. He wasn't exactly a bad singer to begin with but if you compare his first audition to this performance the improvement is extraordinary.
Thank you again for all the analysis and reaction .. as a swede myself, I'm so happy that you got to hear Chris Kläfford doing this cover. It is quite amazing and I love how he's able to vocalise those feelings. Also, I'd like to recommend you listen and react to Cammie Gilbert who's part of Oceans of Slumber. Either one of their own songs (like "A Return To The Earth Below" or "The Colors of Grace") or maybe together with others from the latest Ayreon album Transitus. (like "Hopelessly Slipping Away" or "Talk of the Town")
as I always said, the Swedes are so damn good at putting the lyrics and the music, now this is a cover. But Sweden is the world's best at music. This small country has any number of world artists. Incredible!!
You have to be kidding. Only famous Swedish artists are probably ABBA and that's horrible cheesy pop music. If you don't sing in English most of the world could care less.
So glad you got to experience this, I requested it a few months back when you reacted to Disturbed - The Sound of silence. Both of which are easily my favourite covers of all time, powerful lyrics sung to perfection.
the yodel that he uses at the end of the last line of the song is outstanding, it adds such a great texture to how he finishes this powerful song. it was an exceptional performance all around.
I found your channel yesterday and I just have to say that I like the channel and you so much! You are so genuine, cute and nice. Gonna watch more videos now, thank you for being here! Keep up the very good job. Love from Sweden!
Hi, the first time I saw him, I loved his voice and the way he sings this beautiful song from Lennon. Today I remembered why I loved it so much the first time. Thank u. Love from Portugal
That's a great choice, making a reaction to Chris!!! I'm a new subscriber of your channel Elizabeth and I'm getting quite obsessed by your analysis of the songs! You introduced me, with your moving envolvement, to many songs in the last weeks!!! Keep going on, you're making a great job!!!!
Nobody is even close to explaining their reaction as elegantly as you. I enjoy your reactions so much and never fail to learn something new about the presentation of singer and the song. Thank you.
As much as you rewind (which I love by the way), I rewind you and all your videos which inevitably makes your videos 3x longer lol. Thank you for what you do!
I'm glad that you mentioned the teary eyed emotion you felt as Chris builds the tune. Because every time I listen to him sing the song (and I listen to his version a lot) I have to wipe my eyes! I hope you've listened to his AGT audition. He brings the house down!
Chris Robinson (The Black Crowes) is one of the most underrated vocalists of the late 80’s and 90’s, in my opinion. “ She talks to angels” and “Remedy” are both great for a first listen. Also, Alabama Shakes vocalist Brittany Howard is absolutely fantastic. Try “Hold on”.
I would recommend that you could react to "in the silence" or "tennessee whiskey" that he did on his kitchen sessions, both made me cry so could not recommend them enough :))
We just released merchandise! Check out the full line-up here: thecharismaticmerch.com
I would love to see what you think of Kris klaufford cold at the altar. It's such a great song
Can you please do a reaction to his rendition of hot line bling? He is so good here! ruclips.net/video/TFZ2dKwvGAY/видео.html
It helps that that guitar is like super expensive. He kills this though. I have never heard a cover of this song quite like this.
Grace | Róisin O, Aoife Scott, Danny O'Reilly, | Centenary | Easter Monday 2016 | RTÉ One 2 any chance you would take a look at this and analyze it?

Hes brilliant at what he does also stay strong brother
Take a listen to "Nose on the Grindstone" by Tyler Childers.
Very powerful song.
@@Dea7hReaper Never heard Tyler, but that song got me right in the heart! Thanks for suggesting it brother!
The power of his voice is unmatched in my opinion. He can do American Counrty, regular pop, rock, and he can probably to metal (just a wish I have).
Happen the same with Chris Cornell, to me he is and will be an absolute legend
Any Swedes here for upvoting Tommy Körberg with Anthem, Stad i ljus or even maybe O helga natt?
Tommy is so under-appreciated nowadays!
Yessir!
Helen Sjöholm - Du måste få finnas / you have to be there
Anthem would be amazing!
Yes!!!
So happy you reacted to Chris Kläfford, as a Swede I'm so happy he's getting a lot of recognition outside of our little country.
He needs to, his voice is amazing!
Hes absolutely brilliant how he's not plastered all over place god knows
Wow, what a hidden gem!
The thumbnails for this channel are second to none !! Her smile is intoxicating!!

I love how present you are when listening to music; It's like your whole being is absorbed by the song
Trying waaaaay too hard to seem “in touch with my emotions”😂
@@crewdawg9730 You or everyone else?
Very well put. It seems very genuine too.
was thinking about this too, I love when people really absorb music and you can tell how much it hits them.
Suggestions for future Chris Kläfford reactions:
"Tennessee Whiskey"
"Bruises"
"Ocean eyes"
"Wicked game"
"Either way"
Basically all of them! He is the best
Came here to mention ocean eyes and bruises. And I'm normally one who thinks covering Capaldi is something almost no one can do
Don’t forget “the silence” cover he did
I'd be more interested in originals, personally

His voice sounds like you're being wrapped in warm honey, and laid gently on a soft, pillowy cloud. So comforting and familiar.

@@xdclanswe ok Einstein name a few famous Swedish artists. I mean world famous not famous in Sweden.
@@mikerichardson60 Roxette, Ace of Base, Avicii, Zara Larsson, Swedish house maffia and alesso to name a few
So glad you got to experience this, I requested it a few months back when you reacted to Disturbed - The Sound of silence. Both of which are easily my favourite covers of all time, powerful lyrics sung to perfection.
Many great artists and songwriters out of Sweden!
the yodel that he uses at the end of the last line of the song is outstanding, it adds such a great texture to how he finishes this powerful song. it was an exceptional performance all around.
You should check out Chris Kläfords version of Tennesse Whiskey…He has some amazing runs there!
YES!!
I agree!
Definetly this one!!!!
I found your channel yesterday and I just have to say that I like the channel and you so much!
You are so genuine, cute and nice.
Gonna watch more videos now, thank you for being here!
Keep up the very good job.
Love from Sweden!
Thanks julhest! Welcome and hoep you enjoy the other videos! ❤
You have to listen to his original song Cold at the altar. It has all the emotions!
People only talking about covers and I'm just sitting here like "y'all don't respect his originals?"
Your reactions are on another level. Such a great rendition by Chris.
His version of ocean eyes!! Perfection
your pronounciation of kläfford was spot on!
The best cover of imagine ever!
The raw authentic feeling is what made MTV unplugged so incredible.. I wish they still had it around..
You know a singer is great when the song is over and you just want more
Hi, the first time I saw him, I loved his voice and the way he sings this beautiful song from Lennon. Today I remembered why I loved it so much the first time. Thank u. Love from Portugal
Oooooooh, I’d forgotten all about Chris. He’s *amazing*
Hi Theodore, Welcome!
@@kirbys1370 Thank you!
You must do his cover of ocean eyes!!!!
His version is my favorite version.
Nobody is even close to explaining their reaction as elegantly as you. I enjoy your reactions so much and never fail to learn something new about the presentation of singer and the song. Thank you.
Ocean Eyes and/or Tennessee Whiskey. So good!
As much as you rewind (which I love by the way), I rewind you and all your videos which inevitably makes your videos 3x longer lol. Thank you for what you do!
Personally you should hear his cover of Ocean Eye's by Billy Elish. But, I do whole heartedly agree with you about this cover.
Try “Hold on”.
i love your emotional reaction. congratulations
I would recommend that you could react to "in the silence" or "tennessee whiskey" that he did on his kitchen sessions, both made me cry so could not recommend them enough :))
It's so enjoyable to listen to someone this articulate and knowledgeable.
