    Best looking Rising Fighter I've ever seen.

      Thank you very much. At the risk of sounding conceded and stuck up, I agree.

      I agree too :-)

    One of my lockdown projects of 2020 was to buy and build a Rising Fighter (my first RC car ever) and this was the first upgrade!

    Just installed the rear trans brace and shock mount. Simply love it. Simply love it. Beautiful. All the things I disliked about the RF has vanished. Beautiful to look. Changed it all. It looks as good as a GH2 or a Super Hornet now. Sooooo, an idea: new AMPro body mounts with body clips for the body? :-)

      @AMPROEngineering  6 лет назад

      Haha! Yeah it made all the difference for me too. I haven't thought of that actually. Not a bad idea....

    So it is here!!! Amazing!!! Thank youuuuuu! Now I am ready to do something with my RF Rear! New shocks, new AMPro Shock mount and new AMPro transmission brace! Gonna be amazing! First step on the way to the Hornet III :-)

      I can if you want. They will be available on MCI Racing. I will ask him to put them up if you really want them.

    Heya @AMPRO ... My rising fighter has stripped two differentials (standard motor), do you think your rear suspension bracket would help the diff stop stripping itself? Any advice greatly appreciated. :)

    • @AMPROEngineering
      @AMPROEngineering  4 года назад

      No I dont think that will help. I would assume the motor may be too hot and there has been a lot of jumping happening, haha! I mean who can blame you. I think this could help with keeping the rear a bit more planted but I cant say it can help with the gears. Sorry man, just dont want to claim anything that I am not sure of.

    Do you need to cut the trans? Yet another great vid!!

  • @CarminesRCTipsandTricks

    That was my first close-up of the Rising Fighter rear.... I can't BELIEVE how different it is than the Grasshopper/Hornet - 1 AND 2!!! It literally looks like nothing would swap, except for the Driver, front arms, and the 380 adapter disc. 😲😲😲😲
    Now I'm asking myself a question.... Do I get a RF, which is $7 cheaper than the NEW Grasshopper II? 😮 Hmmmmm.......
    Thank you, for being there for us car crazy guys! 👍👍
    Hey, do you have any plans for the TT-02 chassis? It's Very popular. I'm now buying one of those, piece by piece.

      Yes Sigbarth is correct, the question is less if you want a GH2 vs a Rising Fighter and maybe more what you think looks better. I really like the cosmetics of the GH2 more than the RF though weirdly, I really like the look of the RF. Maybe look in your parts bin. I like to make sure I have spare parts. If you have a Lunchie and something happens to the trans on your GH2, you can always borrow parts from another car. Conversely, if you want to try the RF and change your mind later, you can make the RF a GH by getting a trans and the trans mounts. Ok now I am confused. What were we talking about?

    • @CarminesRCTipsandTricks
      @CarminesRCTipsandTricks 7 лет назад +1

      LOL I get it! 😉 I think I like the RF gearbox more...
      It has what looks like a big skid plate on the bottom, and the motor looks like it's mounted lower (you know, because center of gravity is a primary concern on these hi-tech machines!!).
      I guess it's like my Grandma's old saying "6 of one, half dozen of the other". I may be more confused now!

    • @AMPROEngineering
      @AMPROEngineering  7 лет назад +1

      You are correct. The RF trans is better but it is also much wider requiring these flat faced wheels instead of deep dish wheels. That is a major draw back for me.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC 7 лет назад +1

      Ha, I've been thinking the same! Have plans to switch the Astrals with the Star on my RF. I actually like the Star Dish, a bit modern for the RF but huh ...

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC 7 лет назад +1

      Ohh, yeah, they come in blue too. I had thought about gettin' those for my DF-02 once. Oh, boy, would I like to see that RF Super G Blue. Blue body, shocks, rear shock brace and blue wheels. Gotta look cool!

    • @AMPROEngineering
      @AMPROEngineering  4 года назад

      Yes. There’s also a video covering those upgrades on this channel. I believe it is episode 25

  • @tombombadil2793

    I wonder why Tamiya didn't put this brace in from the start.

    • @AMPROEngineering
      @AMPROEngineering  7 лет назад +2

      They did something like it on the Mad Fighter I believe but when it comes to a car whose target price is $79.99, they don't care. I mean the car still works without out... just annoying.

    • @tombombadil2793
      @tombombadil2793 7 лет назад

      I glued a large piece of foam rubber on the chassis resting on top of gearbox pivot bar on my Hornet , this helped cushion the ' annoying ' effect very well.

      AMPRO Engineering it's why I don't own one. I'm also Canadian. Witch means even more expensive. Wanted a cc01 at one point. But 280 for an RC with shit steering is a bit much for me. But I do enjoy the improvements you make to them.

    • @AMPROEngineering
      @AMPROEngineering  7 лет назад +1

      You arent kidding. I dont know what they were thinking with the CC01 steering...OMG. I am glad you like my work. It is all great fun.

      My Witch has come up with a PERMANENT solution for the CC-01 steering! Mine's nearly as tight as an Axial.
