Dude..got the free game 2 days ago, upgraded to legendary today. Level 40 already and only thought you could escape via the blue stairs. This has opened my life.

Ooohhhh didn't know the red doors were to the next level. New here, and when I found one I thought it was just a blue door that hasn't activated yet or was used already by another player. Very informative video. Had no idea about the rope, boat, and lift.
When I finally managed to escape for the first time as a barbarian, I used a stair escape and right afterwards a bunch of rock collapsed the stairway, scaring the shit out of me thinking I was killed. It didn't help when I saw the message "Your adventure has come to an end" complete with the skull motif. Thankfully that wasn't the case and I was finally able to keep the stuff I got after getting smoked at least ten times over the course of a few hours.

Great video. I hadn't played since before it was taken off steam, I didn't know the goblin lift could be taken more than once or that the rafts continued to spawn after used. Many times I left relatively un-looted afraid someone would steal them like stairs.
Great video Ryan! For new players, though, the stair escapes in goblin caves DO NOT have torches indicating if they have opened/been taken. I've spectated too many people die walking right past them because they're hard to see and don't check the map icons. ;-;

I missed out on so many escapes cuz the gates wouldn’t open but they haven’t been used, so then I would leave to find one and get either trapped lol or not find an exit. Can’t wait to try the Ice Abyss. Would have something to do then for snow mountain

That one spear trap by the portal in the inferno, specifically in the spider room has gotten me five times. Those portals spawn in that exact spot often enough to help people forget to check the walls. :|
Thanks Storm! As of right now Goblin Caves is just a single layer map. However, it is also the only map to feature two Bosses that can be slain in the same match (Cave Troll and the Cyclops). If you manage to slay both of these bosses, you will be given access to a joint treasure room where you will have the chance to loot Legendary and potentially Artifact items (strongest items in the game).

So the portal escapes when used, do not respawn? And is the lift escape always available? I'm asking as a solo player and I've personally yet to even encounter a lift or raft escape.
I didnt play for the last year. Now it feels rlly boring compared with the circle. At the end it was allways scary and you didnt know if you made it. Now i nearly allways find an exit and players i often see in 1 of 3 matches. Not the way it used to and not so much fun for me. Why not make 2 modes. I with the circle the other one without.
I should have played this game more, you don't get this experience somwhere else, If you're tired of CoD you can play Battlefield, but this is the only Hardcore PvPvE extraction fantasy dungeon crawler i know of. It's finally back on Steam and the devs are making the right changes. Let's get delving.

If the mini-map was better I'd like this change a lot more. I can't see any of the blue icons... the color fades into the map and it's too small for me to see. Hopefully we get mods someday.
Huh, I thought you didn't make guides anymore. Would you consider making a newly updated mob guide? Your old one is quite out of date, and a lot of the new mobs require a lot of footwork to dodge properly.
exactly what the other commenter stated - it looks like there is a bug as of today's patch that is causing players to dismount on some of the Goblin Caves rope extracts. Use only the stairs and the portal extracts for now!
ive got many times into inferno now and i think the portals there are so awful. hearing the portal gets up 2 mins before closing and its in the far corner of the room with 5 archers around. gl as rogue.
THE DAMN BOAT ESCAPE HAS KILLED ME TWICE. NOT BY MONSTERS BY THE BOAT ITSELF LOST MY 300 GEAR BECAUSE OF IT. JUST GLITCHES ME THROUGH THE DARK WALL AT THE END INSTANT DEATH

And its been the west one always was on the front of the boat was trying to load faster to escape and thought thats how it worked. But instead of loading once i hit the entrance i keep going for a solid 30 seconds and hit the end of the area hidden wall and fall off

correct, the stairs will only allow for one person to escape - the # of usage for each type is: Escapes: Stairs - one person Portals - one person (but they appear in groups of 3) Ropes - one person Rafts - as many as you can fit on it Lift - as many as you can fit on it Draw bridge - unlimited (new & now appears on Ruins North/South end) Down (Red paths for further exploration): Stairs - unlimited uses Abyss drop - unlimited uses
Jesus christ I've missed so many escapes cause I didn't know what they were. I think the mini map that once the one time exits are used should just go off the map
The escape portals are more accessible than EVER. The portals that spawn seem to be guaranteed to spawn every game in the same exact location. Basically no more random portal locations. It honestly makes escaping too easy.
This game would be so fun if exiting wasn't so bad. If I die in a game I'd rather die from actual enemies not dying to the fact that there are zero things to escape with. Other than that this is a really fun game, but I just hope they work on a better way of escaping.

Update: As of Hotfix #53 (6/14/2024), the location of portal pedestals are now displayed on the minimap in a blue triangle shape.

I have this bug where i only find the solo exit with my team 😭 i miss portals, not enough of them now.
Before the last hotfix/patch the blue portals did show up on the min map i have no idea why the decided to remove them

I grab the rope, it starts ascending, and somehow my character lets it go and stays left behind in that cave

I didn't walk through stairs....I walked through a random dark hallway in the Ice Caverns and escaped....thought I died tbh
