I live in California where we are in constant danger of fire. My dad takes great joy in going to the border of the state to buy illegal fireworks to set off on New Year’s Eve and Fourth of July. when I was a kid my dad bought these illegal rockets that were about 12" hight with 3 plastic fins that is sands up on, One of them took off and turned sideways about 5 foot off the ground flying all over chasing everyone , everyone was running it started flying around my uncles head in a circle he was waving his arms in front of his face ... Several years ago, I was at a friends house on NYE watching them set off fireworks. Someone set off a small aerial firework, and it headed straight to the garage where my friend and I were standing with a group of small kids. You don't have time to react, it all happens so fast. Your reaction seems like you're moving in slow motion. Thank god the firework was small and quickly extinguished itself. I recall that we didn't even have time to dodge or run away. I hope the victims get treatment and recover, I think that it is something that all who were involved will never forget.

Why did they have such a large horde of illegal fireworks??? Were they planning on selling them to other people or what? Such a shame when something like this happens. There's a good reason why some fireworks are illegal and why they should only be set off by professionals, yet this kind of stuff seems to b prevalent in Hawaii. Of course many people get injured every year by fireworks, but this large a horde was ridiculous.
