I'm sorry but Fury has been found out. You cannot compare him to the greats like Ali, Liston, Marciano, Archie Moore et al. I could name 20 heavy weights I would put before Wilder and Fury. All much smaller men who would beat them soundly including Dwight Muhammad Qawi who was 5'6"! Fury is a weak minded, insecure individual who puts others down to bring himself up hence the sensivity to criticism and the tip toe poses. A man with his background shouldn't drink. In fact, irrespective of lifestyle none of us should drink to excess like he did. Making jokes about it like the boxing fraternity have done shows that we won't develop people with the mindset to regain the world heavyweight title in my time. To be fair, in the ring, Fury has a strong mindset but at this level fights are decided in the preparation. He just doesn't have the dedication or people around him to succeed. He has been surrounded in controversy and many dodgy decisions and his ducking of AJ (I'm no fan!) is a disgrace. Like many people I was fooled and thought he was too much for AJ but now I think the current AJ beats the best Fury. The only way he beats Usyk is with the Ref's help.

A great example is Sugar Ray Leonard vs Durán. When SRL lost, did he go “let off steam”? No. Did he have every right to? ABSOLUTELY. It didn’t even cross his mind. It was a mindset. Brutal hunger and pursuit of payback with a vengeance. Now, did Durán ? Absolutely. And he had a right to. But that mindset carried into the rematch 159 days later - which is relatively similar to Tyson reporting for duty in 180ish days. It’s not THAT much time and exactly why SRL wanted the rematch immediately. He knew Roberto could get careless, have some holiday time, and look what happened. He entered the second biggest fight of his career out of shape and resting on perceived laurels and has uttered a phrase that is associated with giving up in a fight being beaten so badly.
Tyson has every right to “take a weekend off”. But you’re OUT TO LUNCH if you think a fighter who has the rematch to avenge his only loss on the books with a date looming would ever do that. Especially publicly be out of their senses. Maybe SRL was unhealthy with how obsessed with winning the rematch he was. But to beat Durán at welterweight in that form, he would have to be extreme. And to beat Usyk right now despite giving Usyk his best shots, winning rounds, he’ll need to dig deeper and be even better. Usyk is hard enough to beat once. He’s a guy who lives the lifestyle. Imagine trying to do it again knowing he has all the same information. It’s a battle of preparation. Every time you’re not training, or every weekend you’re in public bars sloppy, imagine a Ukrainian working in a war room or atleast waking up while you sleep off a hangover.
At the end of the day, can’t stress enough , Tyson deserves it . But that’s a slippery slope. Duran deserved it too. He’s one of my favorite fighters. But the second there are reports of him doing the same thing Tyson is, albeit more frequently as the date approaches, everyone knew the outcome. They just didn’t see how bad it would be bc SRL was ferociously the other way about it. No one is saying don’t go have fun. But I would bet my channel Usyk isn’t. Or atleast not comfortable enough to do it in public meaning what’s your lifestyle like then in private if you can allow that? IMO it’s fair to point to history as a way to gauge potential outcomes as two fighters rematch and how they behave between bouts; especially the loser

Problem with Fury is that he's an all or nothing character, can he keep his discipline. He only had to do that for the next 6 months to give him the best chance in the rematch. Big nights out at his age need more recovery time. He needs to stay focused and in the gym, otherwise it'll be worse for him in the rematch.

Kosta tzyu. Also has a w over Castillo considered by some to b the best lightweight of his era and 2 time world champi.and malinagie is a good win.During his reign he only lost to the 2 who both would b considered best of their era. Both r even in the goat debate. His 3rd loss was 1 comeback fight he felt he needed to silence the demons. He may not have been on floyd and mannys level but just falling short still makes him very good imo. Also drew big crowds and revenue which I believe is a factor for HOF

@darrenstopper1806 Cheers for that. It's not enough for me though. I didn't think much of Malgnagio, although I like him as a pundit. As for hall of fame for drawing crowds, Hatton was a piss head, one of the lads type character, that we British seem to love. I personally wouldn't have him Hall of Fame, especially when you look at the likes of Froch or Hagler, can't think of anymore sorry.

Hopefully Tyson Brewery the Tipsy King has got the booze out of his system & will be flat out to overcome the defeat & rise like a champion.! Or will he spiral & end up either getting beaten again, or not going through with the fight.! I hope he can rise again.! Bless up lads. Great podcast 🥊🥊🥊

I’ve been critical of Fury’s opponents since regaining a belt but he shouldn’t be criticised for letting his hair down. I’m writing this whilst listening and what the fuck is Don Perrier. The Usyk interview was by the three knock down rule. You boys should call yourself three mates talking bollocks. Great entertaining show today fella’s, I didn’t understand much of it but thoroughly enjoyed it.

They can't stand the slightest criticism because they are narcissists.
Check the characteristics of a narcissist, Fury has nearly all of them.

And most of us don’t have the inconvenience of fame and life through a lens.Hundreds of people in city’s up and down the country will b leaving a pub in this manner .They don’t have their wirst moments filmed, produced to the world and scrutinised

@@darrenstopper1806 I believe he has said he is bipolar. I'm also bipolar. Sometimes w need to find a rock bottom and hit it to bounce back from a low. As dysfunctional as it is it is probably the best thing he could've done in a way. It's kind of like a kid that needs a hiding but your not a kid so you need to give yourself the hiding.

Usyk was probably at the gym or studying film of their fight for the 20th time while Fury was out doing that.
    Doesn’t bode well.
I mean, if it’s a one off? Sure, no big deal. But Fury had had real issues with this stuff in the past. I worry it won’t be a one off.

Love you guys but all they take is criticism 😂 especially the past 18 months the reason the rematch is longer was due to injuries so for once it was usyk not Tyson but usyk wanted November but nothing was available apparently

time for brick top to step up and earn his money same with spencer brown....Tyson needs to be kept in peoples conversation get him doing interviews and sponsorship promos - if he losses to usyk again they'll forget him quick fast with how stacked the division is behind him. so keep him relevant and keep him earning

The sparkling water/still water comment, as far as I was concerned was that still water is dull and boring - sparkling water is fizzy and a bit more exciting.

‘We’ve seen Fury do this before…’ Indeed, but not at 36 and off the back of a convincing defeat. Fury is already well in decline, and Usyk has broken him with that defeat. Getting trolleyed and headbutting lamp posts is the last thing he should be doing because he can’t get any fitter or better, and with his issues, I’d wager he won’t get anywhere near the required level for the rematch, which probably won’t happen anyway.
