- This is a vlog that laid dormant in my iPhone photo gallery, until now! The Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival is starting back up soon (February 2024), so I figured now is a good time to post this! Thank you Paul Carr for the invitation, and wow, it was so great to see so many players, including Kenny Garrett! Kenny Garrett's "Song For DiFang" was the first jazz song I truly fell in love with. I heard it in middle school during my computer class when I really wasn't supposed to be on RUclips, but I sat in the back of the class so the teacher couldn't see me (get wrekt). I don't know how it popped up in my feed, but when I heard it, my perception of the saxophone changed forever.
