Just wanted to say how much I appreciate listening to y'all on my Friday and Saturday runs. It's like checking in with friends and I'm always laughing out loud at some point on my runs, probably looking like a total idiot ::)
Omius headbands/hats have been used in Ironman for about 5 years now...but during an Ironman, you're running mid day, in the peak heat of the day. These really haven't taken off in the running world with the majority of races starting early and in cooler temps. The cooling blocks need to stay wet in order to work best, so dumping water on your head or dunking the hat in a water source at aid stations is needed to maximize its cooling properties.
Jakob shut down the inside line on Hocker once but the moment Kerr started going Jakob left the inside open again and Hocker took it. Des Linden and Kara Goucher have a great podcast "nobody asked us" and Kara completely called what would happen the day before the race. Then she actually called the race on NBC
It's a myth that Ali threw his medal in the river, he simply lost it. At the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, the US basketball team presented him with a replacement medal.
The kipchoge band looks to be pretty simple tech. Its a heat exchanger identical to ones used in industry or even inside computers, touching the processor. It works by increasing the surface area from where the water can evaporate. Sweat evaporating equals cooling your body. The only part that puzzles me is what advantage is in it from being just a tiny piece on your forehead. Why the forehead? XD People with big forehead have advantage? Or small forehead?
Kind of a side note but an important one for people to note. Breakdancing was not going to be included in the LA Olympics before Raygun (spelling??) had her little debacle. The cancellation had nothing to do with her. Crazy how fast that rumor spread.

Marilu Henner is the actress with the super memory. I think she might have been mentioned in that book that Robbie was talking about.

Sounds like T has the chance to buy Meg that headband and finally make her happy with a gift

Ultra runners been wearing those headbands for a while now.
Right?!?!? Been wearing way less expensive, homemade ice bandanas too. Those way overpriced headbands are kinda dumb really.
7th major is coming in 30 days before Chicago/NYC. Sub 4 on the WR course? No way....time for a 45' BQ!!!!
Try Bin 604 for the wine.
