    Thanks, your video is the best that I have found on my new bender.

    You finally started to demonstrate the tool at 0:44!! Finally!!
    I jest of course. The guy on the video before this one was still blabbering away at 3:34!! The one before that was a big "portly" guy sitting on a stool or chair and blabbered away and kept messing with his camera while blabbering.
    Please forgive me for being a Slow Country Boy, but I get impatient when someone talks and talks and talks about stuff that has no thing to do with subject at hand before demonstrating a tool.
    You went right into it. Thank you for that.

    Ditto of NMranchhand's comments 3 years ago. I bought a similar bender to make a specific gift for someone. Lots of trial and error, because the instructions were rudimentary and did not inspire me to experiment beyond that project. Your video encourages me to blow the dust of the bender, and try something new. I suggest that you could make an entire series of 'How-to's on this bender, and many of us would follow closely. Thanks.

    Got my bender down off the top of the cabinet today and screwed it to the floor finally after 15 years. They leave a pretty big foot print on the shop floor. I am running out of shop. Some day I'll build a bigger one. Nice job on bending them brackets. A guy can spend a lot of time tryin to figure out that damn tool. You have done a lot of the leg work on figuring out how to make it work. I still struggle with mine. Have a good day

    • @WideVisionMetalFab
      @WideVisionMetalFab  7 лет назад

      They do take a lot of space. I enjoyed having to bolted to that table, then I could move the table, or unbolt it from the table. I have since gotten that table out of the shop, and now the bender is floating around. I haven't figured out a good solution to hold it in place, yet have it out of the way. You have a good day too!

    Two years ago, when I started with a bender, this video was the most valuable, practical instruction to be found on RUclips. It still is.
    I've had an awful lot of fun since then and avoided a lot of frustration due to the terrible instructions that came with it from China and the "unboxing" and know-nothing, "first impression" and "review" videos crowding my bandwidth.
    I'm sorry it took so long to say it but, Thanks a Million.

    Nice bending tool. I should be able to make one for myself. Are the roller dies hardened steel? And, are the small holes around the circumference of the circular base just for making a bending stop? One last question, are there any other accessories that you don't show in this video? Again, I enjoyed your program. Thanks for sharing.

    • @WideVisionMetalFab
      @WideVisionMetalFab  10 лет назад +1

      Howdy again Jim! I just logged in, and there was no notifications. I get ready to log out, and there's yours! :) I think it would quite easy to make. None of the dies are hardened, they are quite soft, actually! The small holes are just for stops, at least to the best of my knowledge. And I have more accessories. I'm planning on doing a couple more videos about the bender, and eventually you will see everything I have for it. I even plan on making some dies for round tubing....in my spare time...so who knows when! LOL Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment Jim! :)

    If you could mount this bender any differently, would you? I'm trying to decide if it should be portable or can be close to the wall.

    • @WideVisionMetalFab
      @WideVisionMetalFab  6 лет назад

      I moved this table out of the shop a couple years ago, and I still haven't figured out a good way to mount the bender. It can't be close to a wall, as the metal being bent and the handle often swing to the rear of the machine. I have another table with retractable casters that I'm thinking about mounting it to. Hopefully it's heavy enough to hold the bender. The other idea I had was to make a 2 inch receiver mount for it so I could put it in my welding truck's receiver hitch when I wanted to use it.

      I didn't put it into concrete, I bolted it to my work table. But since you asked about drilling in concrete, the things that work for me is a good hammer drill and Bosch drill bits. I really don't know what else to say other than see what you can find on RUclips about it. :)

      I make side tables and was ordering some beefy hairpin flat bar legs off a guy on Etsy. in 2 years he 2.5x his prices. Absolute rip off knowing how cheap the stock steel is, plus I was paying for shipping AND duty once into Canada, so out of rage, I am here to now easily (once this damn bender is mastered) make my own hairpin legs.
