Just look at Luocha our "universal" healer, all he does well is heal which just isnt enough anymore, characters need to have a role in a team archetype. HuoHuo is good for her energy and atk buff in dot teams, aventurine has his FUA and his crit dmg buff in FUA teams. Yeah you could just get Luocha who works everywhere but he'll never be the best anywhere.

8:15 waited for you to finish this point because the game has glaring example of it already, Ruan Mei. Looking at in game data since her launch Break bars have begun to more than doubled in size (compared to before 1.6) to compensate for her existence, she has actively changed the enemy design around her. Her universality has permanently altered elites/boss design.

    • @kennethyoung7457
      @kennethyoung7457 3 месяца назад +3

I hope they do more with Nihility character debuffs its crazy that Ruan Mei a Harmony character got the most interesting debuff with break recovery delay. They really don't want to bring much real debuffs into the game as it could impact enemy design even further. They even took away Jiaoqiu 30% effect hit rate reduction which wasn't even that big of a debuff. I hope the next Nihility unit will bring more meaningful debuffs other than just dmg increases or DOT.

    • @Antithesis_72
      @Antithesis_72 3 месяца назад +3

@@kennethyoung7457 Openly outside of Acheron I don’t think they’ve done too bad. SW being a 1.1 units is pure debuff spam and a unique mechanic, Kafka/BS are DoT units which build on each other, Jiaoqiu is consistent debuffs which go near infinite which provides a solution to the issue of debuffs (needing to apply them first to every new enemy) as opposed to buffs already being on your unit. I don’t include Acheron as she is literally just an Erudition/Destruction chimera who due to lore is nihility. But Jiaoqiu’a old EHR debuff provided an avenue for alternative sustain as you could remove the worry of debuffs using Aventurine’s Eff res buff. It was something rather huge that just because it does not directly increase your dmg makes runs so much smoother.
RM is just a tumor this game now has to live with. The devs have since designed every enemy to compensate for her 50% WBE buff. Nihility could be more interesting int rh future but this is their attempt to try to make a DoT/Debuffer and it failed epically if they wanted people to consider him as another option over RM/Robin in DoT teams. Dot is a unique problem to Nihility since to keep DoT players happy they’ll want(and need) constant support to prop up the archetype because it has so little support (compared to FuA/Break). I would say expect more in the future as another fire Nihility foxian is leake.

    • @kennethyoung7457

@@Antithesis_72 Yeah Nihility is really strong right now but the debuffs themselves which are suppose to be the core of the path have been really undercreative imo especially with how some supports and dps are getting things like weakness implant, def ignore, and dmg vulnerability debuffs which were suppose to be a speciality of Nihility. Only thing Nihility really have unique these days is strong DOT.
I'm not unsatisfied with performance of Nihility overall though its still fun to play with how they all seem to work together. I will definitely want Tingyun as thats one of my favorite characters in the game if she turn out to be the Nihility unit. I plan on pulling Jiaoqiu as well.

I feel like a lot of people (or at least the vocal) don't seem to consider that what may be a niche character now, it allows for more characters in the future that'll be able to take advantage of the niche and make them more common or even break into the meta. Like break for instance. At the beginning of the game (in my experience) there wasn't a need to bother with the break stat as there wasn't a great set of characters to take advantage of it. But now, a year later, we're seeing a lot more characters that require break, or that allow other characters to utilize the break effect.

Robin is as niche as RM. I'd say that someone like Sparkle is unironically more niche than her on sole fact that not many units truly care about her SP gimmick, her extra buffs are for quantum only, unless you go for E2S1 you are just getting somewhat premium Bronya at E0S0. Hence why she feels the most underwhelming out of every limited harmony on my account.
Because I can shove RM and Robin in literally every team, and it just works. The big increase is instantly there compared to whatever I had previously instead of them.
Sparkle? Not really. I barely see difference (sometimes even worse performance) compared to my E1S1 Bronya. Even when I borrow E2S1 Sparkle, it honestly doesn't look as crazy compared to (let us say) my E1S1 RM that I already have. I need to use a very specific units in which Sparkle can truly dominate.
I don't regret Sparkle on sole account that I never skip limited harmonies (never will), but I would say that out of every limited harmony so far, her value is highly overblown, and she is only very strong in select few teams (that most might not even care to play), and even those teams, RM and Robin still feel better. Unless you hyper invest in your Sparkle, she will not be that big of an upgrade compared to Bronya on your account outside of comfier SP usage.

Actually even bronya at e0 is better because her buff is a universal 10% damage boast that works with new units like boothill AND unlike miss mid (sparkle) Bronya has a 100% action advance with a cleanse! I would actually go further and say hmc is better so let’s see. Hmc, bronya, robin & rusn mei > sparkle. She’s the worst out of all the 5*s, not just limited ones. Her kit like you mentioned was terribly thought out. She has 1-2 useless gimmicks for every unit at every moment in time.

However, if you are someone who is considering her because of the overhype that she gets from most CCs... Nope. She is extremely overhyped in her value there I'm afraid. Unless it is E2S1 - she is just there compared to Bronya. There is also a reason for why these CCs who gas her up so much, are most likely the same ones that get E2S1. E0S0 or even E0S1 Sparkle isn't as crazy upgrade to Bronya as some would lead you to think.

@@littlebigeats7682 I mean, sparkle buffs the entire team's DMG%, and at E2 straight up puts better Quantum set on the team, so unless you're literally just playing hyper carry and funneling everything into 1 character, where no one else is dealing any kind of respectable damage like a Sub DPS Aventurine, she's not. Using Acheron's team as an example, E2 Sparkle + JQ is like a 70% DMG buff to the entire team that has a 100% up time, not including any buffs (35% Vul, 24% ignore Def, and either of his preferred LCs (Sig or incessant). They have the same ATK buff (55% translates to like 533 or something ATK for acheron and benefits JQ too) at that point and Sparkle offers more C.DMG. Bronya only has the edge in actual DMG% (by 18%) but if you're already using an elemental orb, it's diluted a bit as well.
The less damage you have coming out of the rest of the team, the better Bronya becomes compared to sparkle. FUA and premium Acheron would prefer Sparkle over Bronya

I like to relate star rail to my favourite games, card games. Imo in star rail you can have a favourite card/character, and then you build the deck around them. You cant chuck all the cards you like in a deck, they need synergy/a purpose. Say I like Topaz or Aventurine, I would like to build my team with FUAs in my mind, itwill be smoother to play. If I want to tackle a game mode with Topaz, like PF, I can make "tech changes" and remove say ratio and put a herta or himeko in to adapt my favourite character by using other synergistic chars to clear the content. We are this point where we cant chuck 4 op ppl in a team and say work. They need an engine (like a draw engine in card games), like topaz, robin, Harmony MC, which can run the deck, and a win condition (Ratio, Firefly, Acheron), with defense cards if you want (Aventurine, Gal) or go full aggro, but with the purpose that these characters, their LCs, and somtimes their relic sets perform sth for the team to bring forward the maximum out of my favourite character to win.

Even if someone wanted to hypercarry, that's only one side and you still need another team for endgame. Now a player can decide what 2 types of teams they want and can go from there.
Sidenote: If you're like me and enjoy having a LOT of different damage mechanic themed teams, pace yourself. Do 1 type of team at a time. Also, if you finish all of your damage mechanic themed teams, take time building your other characters too. May come in handy in the future

I think people don't really get that the characters they think are "universal" aren't really universal. Ruan Mei and Robin are not really universal, they just happen to have the best numbers as of now, but the truth is that they both have a really clear niche that utilizes their kits as a whole, rm has break teams and robin has FUA teams. As said, as of now you can use them wherever because they are strong even if you don't use a certain part of their kit, but they get and will get outshined on comps that are not "meant" for them and even more when new mechanics get released, with probably will happen as it's been happening. Characters are and should be meant to be the BiS for a specific archetype or character and this doesn't mean they will be shit for others, maybe a character replaces rm on a certain team and the difference is just like a 5-10% and people would say the character is not worth it, but the point is that the character is just more synergistic with a certain comp. And also I feel like people fail to really see the potential of characters but rather they just focus on what they are right now. Silver wolf at a certain point was called shit, but now with AS and many new synergies and relics she is a top character in certain content and teams. Sparkle right now is labeled as bad and all it really takes for her to be on the level of robin or rm is for a dps character to be released that fully utilizes her kit, like a DHIL 2.0 with more damage, if a tier 0 really benefits from her then she will be strong again. The idea should be for characters to be BiS on their certain niche and a suitable choice on other and as the game progresses they will only be "needed" on their niche rather than everywhere as RM has been for a while (although we are reaching a point where you can have a good account without rm, whilst not ago if you didn't have her u were just screwed). I think this dynamic makes it so your teams feel more rewarding and it's the right choice by hoyo. So my advice to people, especially f2p, would be to pick the kind of archetype they like the most and pick the characters that are crucial for them rather than focusing on the meta of rn, because in a year probably the teams that are top of the meta right now will be tier 1 instead of t0 and it will keep on changing which archetype has the best teams, between FUA, break, DoT, hypercarry, duocarry, debuffs and wherever new archetype they develop they will keep on being top of the meta and then bumping down a little depending on the enemies they are releasing.

I feel like Genshin thrives off people wanting to have field time with their favorite characters (typically dps units) so you see more universal supports who can work with many dps characters (the way they play also matters 10x more than hsr where you just watch them), and your favorite supports can still be on any team just about. I feel like HSR in comparison is able to focus more on the team archetype and they could easily have fewer dps and have a lot more supportive types that work to make different team types even better and they don't have to consider as much with play style/feeling. They could just have 3 break oriented dps but make 9 supports for them that form their best teams because at the end of they day, you are just playing a break team and need different options to cover weaknesses or battle needs. (like needing aoe for some enemies or fights or needing a way to break a weakness/ignore a weakness)

I really want to see a physicall preservation or abundance that deals bleed damage and converts it into healing or shield. The Neuvillette issue has to do with regulations in China. You generally can't make a character weaker in a gacha game because, yeah, people paid money for it. Its a rugpull basically. A lot of games did this as a way to boost new character sales and it got cracked down on. Neuvillette is a great example of a mistake because they left the issue in two banners and tried to fix it when they realized people weren't rolling characters.

The problem was that they made money off the rerun, when people knew about how strong the spin was, and then nerfed it afterwards, which seems pretty scummy to me.

You shouldn't be going "Damn Jaioqiu is too niche as an Acheron support so I can't pull him," you should be relieved that you can save your jades for someone else. Stop pulling every new shiny toy! As a Firefly main I'd much rather pull Lingsha and then have a strong core of four that I can build up and invest in over the course of the game's lifetime than have to constantly swap out one member of the team because it's been three patches so I have to pull the new support that makes every DPS do 10% more damage compared to the last one.
That being said, Hoyo likes to put the cart before the horse sometimes. So far 2.x has had a strong focus on Acheron / Follow Up / Break, leaving the other playstyles to the side. It'd be nice to get more characters that explore some of the archetypes they introduced before, like SP consumption for Sparkle, HP consumption for Blade / Jingliu, supports that buff specific elements so there's more than just Mono Quantum... literally any other DoT unit to give Kafka more than one five star option. We're getting supports that fulfill a niche, which is good, but it makes other team comps feel worse because they don't have their own niche supports yet.

Archetype is the meta. It's not the characters anymore, it's now the archetype. It's gonna stay like this until the end. My pulls ever since I played where Ruan Mei E1, Dr. Ratio's LC, Black Swan, Acheron E1S1(tried E2 but lost 50/50), Firefly E0, Ruan Mei's LC (for HMC to use). Also, ever since April I could clear 3* all MoC, PF, AS that released as a total f2p. So for me this game is very easy since I'm cleaing content without spending a cent. I kinda like specialized supports , they make each team feel special, its like building an actual team , if your team has special synergy with each of the team members (sort of like quadratic scaling where every team member strengthens the hole team and the team strengthens that member back so on and so forth) heck one of my dream is for HSR to add character combo ults !
(For explaination : imagen you have two charcters which have interacted heavily in the lore, think bronya and seele , blade and danhung , aventurine and topaz/ratio , acheron and black swan or aventurine aswell (its like the voicelines when you add charcters to the party), you can use the energy for both ultimates to make one combined ultimate that combines both kits)
TL;DR : two charcters who know eachother can form a combined ultimate which does an increase amount of dmg.
But yeah , even tho it might suck to gather all these charcters , I feel it makes pulling them even more satisfying !

I always feel like I'm not exactly who you are talking to when you make points like this. But, I'm pretty used to it by now, since I really probably am not. Like, take this apoc for instance, I got 3888 + 3882 with Firefly + Ruan Mei + Asta + HMC and Jingliu + Robin + Bronya + Pela. If you don't view supports as a one slot factor in teams, the value of getting multiple supports to act as tools to enable specific rotations rings true. Asta was an improvement over Gallagher in Node 1 with some tinkering in the rotation due to her speed buff and having an extra character to have a valuable Harmony LC slot. Bronya pairs amazingly with Robin, allowing her to ult early, and synergizes with Jingliu perfectly. And, due to the 100% advance factor, I was able to do the Jingliu -> Bronya -> Jingliu rotation with attack boots On Jingliu, ignoring speed. Pela was the ideal teammate for this comp to help with toughness reduction and improve Jingliu's AoE damage which was important to rush the adds which is what determines the break which is what determines the score.
Sustains are optional. They always have been. When you factor that in, the value supports can bring expands to the point where you kind of want multiple of these extremely powerful supports, in which, yeah, certain synergies will make one more appealing than the other in specific situations, which is good. I don't think a game needs to pigeonhole supports to get them to sell well. I think a lot of people are going to get good support units regardless. I think it's good when supports are really strong, because when you have a bunch of really strong supports, they can compete with one another for spots when looking to optimize runs. As more limited harmony units come out, I feel like it's going to be a certainty that there will be situations where it is the best to use, and situations where it may be better to use another options depending on the fight and team. There are niche aspects to limited supports right now, just they are just universally good on top of that. It really is just the best of both worlds which I think is a good move. It's good for both us and them. It just means you really probably should get particularly powerful limited harmony supports. They are high value units, and I think that's okay.

I think its fair to say what is better for f2pers vs business vs fun gameplay etc but I think you missed a few things or maybe you just glossed over it because I've seen you say some of this yourself in other videos too. Most players want their investment (time, materials, pulls) to have a certain level of longevity (they want to feel the investment was 'worth it'). Universal units meet this obviously and it gives us the peace of mind that I have this area of the meta packed away and can then invest elsewhere, preferably on a character I like (aesthetically and probably personality wise). If the new character doesn't give us the same peace of mind that once I'm done investing, I can look into other areas and instead will likely have a bunch of characters to invest needed to fill the team in order to get decent results, then I'm looking at significant investment commitment over longer period of time. This commitment is at odds with the gacha FOMO. We don't know when the next Acheron or Ruan Mei is coming and every character gets hyped up to heavens by some people and doom posted into hell by others. It makes the commitment risky and difficult to justify, especially if you don't have a lot of characters and meta characters to work with.
If you do have a meta character/team to work with. You can brute force a lot of content and get decent clears for more pulls. If you don't have this then where you should be investing and where you want to be investing is probably already at odds with each other. This makes these decisions less fun. Seeing banner after banner of new characters and "I want/kind of want/don't want this character but they won't help me right now..." sucks. But the reality is that if you never pull, you will also never get to a point you have a comfortable selection of characters to work with. Especially the E6 4*, the E5 4* LCs that are best in slot F2P options that can be a huge deal when filling gaps.
F2Pers and low spenders have limited resources. Making a bad decision can be costly in terms of efficiency and really diminish some of the fun. Seeing a character who we know will be a high impact improvement for our account only to have missed it due to lack of resources is a complete bummer feeling. This leads to saving and scrutinizing every character and LC in detail. It leads to less pulls and putting up with our current teams that are likely not the flavour of the month (getting the most of the turbulences in MoC/PF etc). This is a gacha game. Pulling is part of the fun and we're fighting fomo on all sides. Missing this character. Missing the next.
What a lot of players would benefit from is clear goals for their accounts. A deeper understanding of their current assets and how to best utilize them. Some introspection on how they like to play, where they should give concessions and where they need to be strict.
For me, I like turn manipulations so I get to do more things. I like to have mini goals in combat other than damage (acheron debuff counter, kafka dot stacking before going boom, triggering fua chains, break that meter etc). I want to pull characters I like so in order to do more of this I try to make the teams I already have as robust as possible. I recognise I'll unlikely be able to get full clears of moc but I'm fine with 11/12 and the occasional 10/12 etc. To me, I'm still having fun this way and when I compare with streamers I focus on how to make my team better and not how to imitate them per se, quite often it comes down to relic sub stat luck. The entire game/genre is about tempting you to pull so we're constantly thinking of compromise in resource allocations. Know where your line is and be comfortable with mistakes. Focus on goals and what makes things fun rather than regrets and failures to clear or whatever. I pick up supports more often because they seem to be more useful if I can swap them into different teams. DPS characters fall into more niche in how they work. Hyper carry. Dot. FuA. Break. There are differences in each, sure, but generally speaking a support can work in it to some degree while forcing a dot into fua might not be as suitable for example.

  • @generalsaverngild
    @generalsaverngild 3 месяца назад

Universal buffers is a good concept and it should be noted. That does not mean that it should be implemented as "supports excelling in every team". It's more like, "How many times do I use this support over another?" So it's more towards building a team that can be used more often than another. That's what I mean by "universal buffers".
The funny part with Black Swan & Ruan Mei was that I pulled them because I liked their appearance. I didn't expect them to be the strongest team comps I'm using. I would never go for an eidolon unless it's something that improves the overall damage by a huge margin. It has to transition from 500k to 1 million within the second eidolon or else I'm not pulling for eidolons.
Any team comps that are outside of the most efficient ones are extras. Here's an example, Acheron, Ruan Mei, Sparkle & Robin. It's only for fun and should not be used outside of fun. I know it's not the absolute best but it's the funniest shit in my opinion. Don't cook yourself by saying that supports shouldn't shared. They can in fact be shared and it's ideally for fun.

I personally like the fact that characters have niches that they slot into. It gives them an identity and somewhere to go without adding to the powercreep, whereas when a character is universal, they seem to either powercreep the game or they fail to find a place anywhere.
That being said, I think people overestimate how necessary most characters are to team comps. I have a tall waifu only account, so I've skipped some pretty strong characters, and I still have full cleared all the endgame modes since launch, I just have to work within the restraints I have. There are plenty of alternatives to best in slot characters, and even though they're worse, they're still plenty good enough get the job done.

And short of giving him his own premium light cone that specifically compensates for his drawbacks, there is nothing that can really be done about it. Every Follow-up or Hunt focused relic set that is released will still be better on every other unit that meets the requirements. I think they can safely do balance changes without nerfing anything currently in the game. Even Firefly, who is several levels of headscratching design, isn't really any better or worse than Acheron for example. But characters who have dated design philosophies should get some attention.
Yanqing - I already talked about him, but remove his stance drop and up the chance of proccing his follow-up.
Blade - Blade can probably be addressed with a dedicated premium Harmony support. But really his issue is his scaling. Because his damages scales almost entirely on HP, none of the current supports help him, beyond giving him more turns.
    Arlan - needs better scaling
Serval - I am not sure Serval can be helped. Give her a 5 Star.
And a lot of characters do have compensation built in to their Eidolons. But unless they start adding 1.X characters to the 50/50, a lot of them will never be pulled for over a new character.

I definitely agree with this. I haven't played Genshin regularly since back in the Nahida days, but even when I do play and pull a character, there's about a 90% chance I'm putting the character on a team with Zhong Li and Xianling, whom I've had for like ever. That's part of the reason it's hard for me to pick Genshin back up - well, that and as soon as I hear Paimon's annoying ass voice again... lol. And even though Starrail has these niche characters, I still find myself brute forcing most content with my tried and true teams. No one is really necessary to pull after you've heavily invested into a team or two.

I don’t mind the more niche character. That can make team building more interesting and in best cases buff some older characters as well.
What worries me is that Hoyo continues their strategy of picking a favourite waifu each patch who gets all the love and a completely broken overpowered kit. And then release characters that are just add-ons to her, niche without any other use. Just “Collect the whole set”
(Already if you didn’t pull for Acheron or firefly, you’re probably struggling a bit. At least if you’re a more casual player.)
I like that we have different team archetypes that can be built with multiple characters. Some are more meta but there’s still wiggle room to pick your own teams.
I don’t want to be basically forced to pull the latest Hoyo nepobaby and then the characters they designated for her. Instead of team building we get a shopping list.

I do agree that hyper carry is bad for the game but right now the main teams are break, Acheron and FUA. I was happy that feixaio was potentially gonna be a hyper carry unit but they just changed her kit to be more FUA dependent. FUA, and break don't need anymore help. Acheron, dot and hypercarry needs help (all Acheron need now is a sustain unit). Added freeze support and summon type play style.

Niche vs Universal isn't bad until Hoyo overtunes a character. Ruan Mei can go in almost any team, but she probably shouldn't be the *best* support for most of the teams. She should be the best support for break teams while also being a "fine" option for other teams while you wait to fill her spot with a specialist like Robin or JQ.
I actually really like the direction they are taking the game (aka making tons of team archetypes and filling them in with premium characters that fill their role really well). It lets players choose a playstyle they like and really feel like their teams are powerful, even with some F2P friendly units thrown in. The separate endgame modes make this feel even better, as most teams will continue to be useful in some content.

I think Genshin has power creep too though. Although instead of DPS it's mostly supports. Xingqiu with Yelan and Furina, Sucrose with Kazuha, Fischl with Yae, Dendro MC with Nahida and now possibly both Bennett and Xiangling for the Pyro Archon. The problem I have with star rail is that the "Meta" of DPS always shifts in favor of the ones who are on the banner just to chase sales. You're point in Universality being negative is actually quite true. Being universal means that a unit has to fit everything but if they fit everything then there's no point in getting other units. Genshin has the advantage to game new playstyles but so far Star Rail has way too many copy pastes so it kinda makes it hard to justify getting another DPS.

He's basically just a better and more comfortable Pela for a Hypercarry team, his only not as ideal if the team already has def shred, as def shred gets multiplied on itself, so each percentage gets more valuable the higher it is, vulnerability is better in lower capacity around the 70%, if you have 70% def shred or more it will increase more DMG, but less than 70% def shred is worse than less than 70% vulnerability.
So overall the answer is yes, specially for Ratio Hypercarry, or Argenti.

They rarely nerf limited or ML characters if ever because they're the most exclusive characters in the game. I haven't followed Jiaoqiu much but is he really niche? I thought he was supposed to be a 5* Pela, so doesn't that make him a good alternative for other teams like DoT or Hypercarry? Robin doesn't seem to be niche. I thought she gave similar numbers as Ruan Mei when it came to Kafka/Swan teams, and obviously she's much stronger in FUA. Lingsha doesn't seem to be niche either - as an abundance her main role is healing and cleanse which she looks to do really well at, and her additional bonuses benefit both break and FUA.
If we consider the five main styles as hypercarry, debuff/DoT, superbreak, and FUA, is any unit that's strong in two of these categories and usable in at least one of the others really niche? Rather than call these characters niche, it would be better to describe them as universal with a particular specialty.
You compared Ruan Mei to Asta in break teams at around 5 minutes - it's not that Asta is less niche than RM, but rather Asta is just less powerful than RM. Even in a non-break team, you'd rather use Ruan Mei over Asta in 90%+ of situations.
The only case where these supports would be considered niche is when Mihoyo raises the MoC/PF/AS difficulty so high that you need the correct 'niche' unit alongside the right DPS to clear the endgame content.
Pulling E2 Acheron to avoid the nihility dependency makes me laugh a bit. I pulled Acheron without her light cone and now I don't bother to use her most of the time because her damage is ass because farming for crit gear is the worst thing ever.

    • @LuminousChameleon

I feel like Acheron is decently flexible with the Nihlity units you can run on her, (i personally don't have Firefly break, so I use ghallager on my acheron team, (kinda not built), and I'm fairly new player, so I mostly use gepard with trend of universal market to stack debuffs, along with Guinaifen and Pela so for Jiaoqiu, unless you're really invested in Acheron, or you don't have any other decent debuffers, then I don't think its the best decision. Lingsha is just ghallager premium, so again, unless you really need a second ghallager, or you really want to maximise on a certain team,(firefly break, since she's built for break teams, but she's a good sustain in general especially with her AoE cleanse, so maybe get her if you have another break team, or just need another healer) but otherwise, probably consider skipping. Finally, with Feixiao, since you have two fully developed teams, getting her is not probably not a necessity, but she can still work in teams without all the premium units, like Moze's kit got buffed, so he'll fit really nicely into her team, and Robin will probably need to be run on this team, and in that case, if you like her playstyle enough, I think go for it, but honestly that goes for everybody here, and imo should always be your first consideration, do you want to play the unit and do you like them enough to be willing to either invest in a good team, or to run them with substitutes for a sub-optimal performance, cuz that's the whole reason we play these games, for fun. Hope this helps, and sorry if this wasn't the opinion you were looking for. PS, good luck with whoever you pull for, and finally, saving for Aventurine might be a good idea as well, since he is very good generic sustain, and adds lots of value to your account, especially if you want to run a follow-up team, Feixiao included.

I'm still choosing whether I should even go for one of these characters bc I have brute force into endgame content and completed all in just bare minimum. My mistake on my account is the fact that I try to have all the team synergies but in their budget team rather than their focused premium teams. Now I am left 3 of the most valid options which are lingsha bc i don't have two limited supports (using gallagher and huohuo), jiaoqui because my E0 and S0 acheron even with good substats was able to complete all content but in a bare minimum and some few tries, and for feixiao, I'm trying to change to a FUA synergy team because of my second account uses the follow up synergy and completed all endgames easier that my main account. Plus, I have a well invested robin and she's been a lot of help into my account when I was using a hypercarry seele.

    • @LuminousChameleon
      @LuminousChameleon 3 месяца назад

@@みっこちやみ 😊thats good to hear, but I don't really think its mistake, everybody has lots of characters/teams they want to play, but I think between all of them, probably go for Feixiao and the follow up synergy team (gotta admit, I'm a little biased since I love follow up attack teams in general) since, that team will likely help from the most investment, rather than spending too much on trying to optimise current teams, since you like playing everything, but if you find one/two teams, that you really like, invest in the support characters first, since they'll be the most helpful, even if your DPS gets power creeped, they'll be useful for the next DPS of that archetype, like for example, Ruan Mei helps break teams, so if Firefly gets power creeped by another break DPS, then you can still use Ruan Mei. I think non-limited sustains (healers/shielders) will still work fine while you are building other teams. If you're focusing on fun, then go for other characters, and if you really want to clear endgame, then yeah, probably pull characters like Jiaoqiu, and Lingsha. Hope this helps your decision, (and sorry if you aren't looking for replies, but if you aren't, then pls say so, cuz this is just friendly advice, since you seem to be a bit unsure)

still think universal supports are meta. aventurine, FX, luocha, RM are universal supports which are very useful for literally any account. if we're talking about niche characters, they can be not so useful for new players, for f2p players. they basically needed only if you play specific character which they support, and statistically not every player has this specific character, and not every player, who has this character, will pull for niche support, if they already have a good team for him/her. for example, many people already have pela and silver wolf, and they might save their pulls for some other character.
if you wanna compare it to genshin, shenhe and goro, for example, are rarely used only by dedicated ayaka and itto mains. universal supports, like xingqiu are more valuable.

You can buff or nerf content but being reckless about it is very often a detriment to the game and we are seeing that happen with a game like Helldivers 2. The game was already good when it launched but for some reason the developers decided to mess around with the weapons/support stratagems to the point that the majority of the weapons are no longer fun to use. On top of nerfing everything they increased the difficulty of dealing with the enemy mobs. The developers are literally killing their game with these dumb decisions.
In regards to gacha games you can have a 'universal' team to tackle all the content but having some variety helps the game be healthy. In HSR when the hyper carry teams were the meta, what did Mihoyo do, just add a few extra zeroes to the enemy mobs to make it more difficult for hyper carry to 'one-two shot'. They didn't nerf the hyper carry team, they just made what they were good at more difficult to deal with. I do think Mihoyo needs to balance between 'artificially' increasing difficulty and designing content that caters to every playstyle.
