For me personally it would be hard not to like the WDR Big Band..it's like discovering treasure. As an amateur Trumpet and Flugel Horn player who was brought up in the 60s and 70s listening to jazz and big bands, I love the big band sound, especially the brass section. Andy Haderer’s Flugel Horn sole on Keep Me in Your Dreams, is really nice. I hadn’t heard Faye Claassen sing Aan De Amsterdamse Grachtens. As with Keep Me in Your Dreams, Faye sings beautifully. Once we are clear of Covid, I will definitely come and see WDR, this is on my things to do list. Kindest regards, Doug.
