The temple of this Mahadev is situated in the middle of the sea and to visit it, devotees have to travel about 2-3 km from the shore to the middle of the sea.
Every day this temple comes out from the sea for the visitors here, Which is famous by the name Nishkalank Mahadev Temple.
It is believed that after the Kauravas were killed and conquered during the battle of Mahabharata, when the Pandavas apologized to Lord Krishna, the Lord gave them a flag of art color and told them to go and roam the shores of the sea. Wherever the color of this flag turns white, do the penance of Mahadev. Only then will you be free from this stigma. And you will be surprised to know that this miracle happened here on the beach of Koliyak village. The Pandavas did penance for Mahadev there. Pleased with his penance, Mahadev appeared before him in the form of five Shivlings which are still located in this temple. And since then this temple has been known by the name of Nishkalank Mahadev.
And this temple of Mahadev is immersed in the sea for 12 out of 24 hours in a day when the tide comes in the sea and when there is water in the sea, this temple comes out of the sea for the darshan of the devotees. And here you can see 5 different Shivlings established by the Pandavas.
There is a belief in this temple that the devotees here have a very religious significance to anoint this Nishkalank Mahadev on every Amas day and to bathe in this holy sea. Therefore, devotees from far and wide are seen coming here in large numbers on this auspicious day.
Apart from this, the days of Bhadarvi Amas and Bhadarvi Poonam are very important so that on that day millions of devotees come here to visit this holy place and bathe in this holy sea and purify their body and mind.

The Post-Mahabharat realization of sanhaar/destruction lead to grief among Pandavas and they asked Keshav for guidance. Keshav advised them to seek help from Bholenath and gave them a black flag and a black cow. The Pandavas went to Kailash with the flag and the cow, from place to place after Kailash, but the color did not change on both. But when they arrived in Bhavnagar area along the Arabian sea, the cow and the flag changed color to white and this is where the five Pandu brothers sat and did the Shiv Sadhana. Bholenath appeared in various forms to each brother and that is the origin of Five Nishkalank Shiv Linga at the site, arranged in a circle, 3 km east of the coast in the water, where by there is a pond or Taalaab/tadaav known as Pandu Tadaav, where the shradhdhanjalu wash their feet before getting on the circle. There is a statue of nandi just around the corner.
If not the givenrment, a charity foundation can start launching a project. This project can involve air-boats that can travel over the muddy water during the high tide as well as low tides and they are known as hovercrafts. Build some hotel accommodation to promote living at reasonable cost. It is just a matter of time, but someone who is committed, can combine SAMAY-SHAKTI-SANKALP to launch this and I am confident, one man or woman will start this, many will join. The hardest task is to START.
