Maybe put a caveat that the raffle will only start with X amount of entries.

If you ever feel like takeaway but want it to feel slightly healthier, the Oporto half chicken box is great. Way better than Nandos, as there is always heaps of food.
Yes, I’d buy a ticket to win the AU, Ralliart Magna is Uber cool, I work across the road from Tonsley where it was built. Ford laser, he’ll yes!!! KE & KH turbo 4wd had one of both. Keep up the great content, very enjoyable channel.

10 years ago, after I replaced my E series XR8's with the AU, I started buying up every OEM Motorcraft and Tickford optioned part I could find. I decided that I was keeping the AU XR8, and whilst it was expensive at the time, I now have hundreds of OEM parts, in original packaging, and multiples of consumables like front wheel hubs, rear suspension components, steering shaft and rack. My advice to any enthusiast is this. Whilst car companies only supply parts for the first 5 years, it doesn't mean there are not warehouses with new old stock. Besides online, search dealers, wreckers, and enthusiast clubs. Well done Sean, you deserve all the success your hard work has achieved. Looking forward to your next move. Oo===oO

I was so happy to hear you bring up the HC 929. I bought an HB 929 for $1500, it didn't need much money spent to put it back on the road and I've been really enjoying some old school motoring.

Powerbulbs in the UK is a good shop for new bulbs. Their prices are great even with shipping, and they post out pretty quickly.

It’s funny you mention Mazda 929s, as a kid growing up in the 80s/90s my mum had a LA4MV 929 wagon which looked like one of those American landyacht wagons of the 70s/80s or the national lampoons vacation family queen truckster. Mazda had a very diverse albeit confusing lineup of cars all using the 929 badge
OK just watched the bit about the turbo fantastic we have a 75th anniversary Fairlane in The family my understanding is the you should be able to run 9PSI with a turbo map sensor. I was running standard on my wife’s territory turbo until I rebuilt it and fitted 1000cc injectors and a new fuel pump ect. Very excited to see you do this project

I get so many comments when I drive my NL Pajero Exceed wide body now, especially now after a lot were crushed during the Takata Airbag recall. It's great to speak to people who have owned or knew a family member that had owned one, and even seeing others who have never seen the more unique models made.
I have to do a 'find time' at a PC and write a bunch of comments on relation to a bunch of things, there's a few things I had suggestions or ideas on. I'd buy a/couple of tickets in a Fairmont Ghia comp.
One thing I'll mention is if your son is anything like my daughter, in about a year, maybe a year and a bit, the daytime nap will stop. That changes the game again. However, they do start to be more helpful/interested in things. I spent half a morning on Easter Monday doing a wheel rotation and proper off car clean at the same time, with assistance from my 4 year old. Because I wasn't pushed for time as I was combining doing car things and doing kid things, we took our time and had fun. It'll be an ongoing changing thing that will present new benefits and challenges with filming.
For me the must have tool is an electric ratchet - bought one a couple of years ago and it's saved me so much pain and effort! Couldn't enter the AU raffle as I'm in NZ, but sounds like a good idea for some entertaining videos.

Do a video on the ghia giveaway. Like what they would be buying and all that. Be like the draw closes in 6 weeks and it’s like selling a car with a reserve price but instead it’s a ticket count. So don’t limit it at 200 but that’s the reserve
I like the reserve because it's very straight up and gives guaranteed odds to the entrants, but i know what you mean.
Love century batteries maybe you could do a collaborator video on repainting the magna with custom spray mods from Sydney he’s a really nice bloke

It sounds like a mission - I've heard the floor pans on AWD cars had some pretty big differences
love your taste in cars very similar to mine drove a few ba falcons from the show room and there was a huge difference in performance in the same ba engines own a ba turbo au xr8 2 bf wagon nissan d40 and a cyrsler ute

Re: Magna quality.
I find that in terms of the quality of trim pieces (inside and out) are 50/50, some are better than Holden/GM some arent. Interior details a bit better in domestic stuff (not that the TJ have any creaks or rattles) but my 10yo+ TJ didnt have flogged out shocks and bushes like my FG G6 and SY2 Terri at the same age. (I just had to drop $3k on diff bushes for Terri, they failed rego, mind you its at 345k).
Where the 3rd Gen Magna was sketch is chassis rigidity. They were pretty soft. Installing a strut brace certainly helped reduce chassis flex BUT have you seen a Magna get T-boned or in a major crash? They crumple up a lot easier. Wouldn't want my family in it daily.😊
the 929 hardtop is hard as fuck. my first car was the 626 in champagne and it gives me these vibes

Hi Sean just to correct you mate you can get LED Philips for H4 or H7 in open reflector. The cut off is built into the globe design and the Philips are awesome!
I have the N/A 50th Anniversary with the darker honeycomb 18" wheels, and they really pop in that accent. The Turbo 50th Anniversary models had a different design in 19".
Sometimes you gotta risk it to get the biscuit! I know I would absolutely buy a couple of tickets, and im sure if marketed properly you would get your number but thats easy to say when its not my money on the line.

I got really close to owning my dream car which is a Lexus IS-F. At the time they were out if my price range so I settled on a second gen Lexus IS 350 F Sport with no regrets, and I have to say I do feel kinda "smug" sometimes about it.
Boy does the comment about making RUclips videos costing what it does, resonate true. We are a nothing channel right now and everything is out of our own pocket.
My biggest regretted sales? 1967 Holden HR with full service history and very low mileage ($1,500) and a 1984 Mazda RX7 in great condition with about 140,000 on the clock also around $1,500.

With regards to bulbs, I use the Philips X-tremeVision Pro150 bulbs from powerbulbs in the UK. I’ve been buying from them for 10 years now. They work brilliantly in the FG reflector, BA reflector, VE projector, and even a VL. 100% legal too, unlike the LEDs that still cause issues for oncoming drivers, despite claims that they mimic the halogen pattern. They simply don’t….. most of them have “off road only” on the box, and ADR approved LEDs are like rocking horse doo-doo.
I echo your thoughts on the VS. Like the VL 10 years before it, they were the last of a generation, and the best. I’ve had a VS2 Calais (HSV enhanced) for over 20 years, and will restore it soon. I never got into the VT-VZ, but I do like the WK/WL. I skipped straight to a VE to replace my other previous VS.
I once bought a 5 speed 2.0L Camira for $50. It was 2001. He had $500 on the windscreen and I jokingly said he must be confused as there’s too many zeros on it. He asked me what I meant, and I said it should be $50. He said “sold”. I found out why he was so keen - the timing belt was stripped. I towed it home on the trailer, bought a water pump & belt with intentions to fix it, and a neighbour offered me $400, so I sold it.
I had a silver AU2 as a company car in the early 2000s. It was a great car to do country trips in. I was massively impressed with the BA update over the AU at the time. But after having a BA company car, I realised that for all the positives, there were some negatives too. I still have an appreciation for how good the AU was though - solid suspension, predictable handling, and very responsive for a SOHC i6. It’s part of the reason I chose a new FG in 2011, which I still own. My boss had an AU2 Ghia in silver, and a chance to win one like it for $50 is a great idea. The “outlandish” interior and exterior styling of the AU took a long time to get used to. I still hate the ovoid radio area of the dash, but the clock in AU2 breaks it up, a huge improvement on AU1.

Was always more the Holden guy for v8 Supercars but I did like the green eyed monster craig Lowndes would drive that thing was cool back in high school

The raffle idea would be a good way to get rid of cars you don't need anymore for your viewers who are actually interested in getting buying the cars from you. Also I think that the BA falcons were always the best looking model when it al comes down to the styling ever since the 60's and 70's. Still got to love a good AU though.

$50 is a little steep but $20 with a just say a thousand tickets in sales would be better… Once you hit the 1000 the lottery is run and given away…. Do love the channel and am loving the Magna content
I love my ba fairmont ghia I've left it stock in appearance but I put ba xr6 turbo motor and box in it and kept original motor and box for a later date
I agree on the Honda Jazz. A friend of mines wife needed a small A to B car & I was asked to find a car for her. Unfortunately, she needed an auto. I found one near on marketplace & I checked it out. The auto also had a flappy paddle selectors behind the steering wheel & it was super responsive. She's been happy with that car ever since. The only downside was replacing the headlight globes which you need 8 year old kiddie hands to get to.
If you're chasing a car that's going to have good status in the future, I'd stick with either the Commodore or Falcon. Utes are the flavour at the moment plus parts/trim are still easy to get. Prices have come down on Holden SS cars but the utes hold their own. Yes, we'd all love to own a HSV or a Tickford but prices are way too high for original cars.
Any Guy Buying , and driving a Honda Jazz basically just means you have Zero taste whatsoever, , no car credibility, and also no self respect, and wonder why people laugh and point at you when driving this hideously designed piece of Krap. Probably also would have no friends to punch some sense into you

@@MotoringBoxTV Possibly, only the COTY Manuals and GPvRs got the LSD from memory, and the manufacture years seem odd for it to be the case though. Then again, wouldn't blame Mitsubishi for reusing a diff for a FWD V6 platform xD

That’s right, it’s really a ford channel.
Yeah my vs is going strong went down in money quite a bit thanks to a stripped tensioner pully so cost over 500 but its saved the engine because only just rolling over to 200thkm its got so so much life left the exhaust is absolutely perfect not too loud or quiet has a nice drone just under 1500 rpm everything works apart from the old cassette player and auto aerial which is getting done next week so all new sound system and aerial drivers side suspension needs checking cause the cars dropped to the driver side a bit but apart from those she's in brilliant condition and looking after her more because its an equipe a limited edition they released back in 96 so she's a steal hopefully never have to get rid of her definitely a forever car
