Ah, it's the daily dilemma. Should I go practice or watch one more of Christians videos? Alright, I'll go practice... But thank you for this video. It reminded me of a quote by my favorite author, Terry Pratchett: "If you trust in yourself... and believe in your dreams. . .and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy."
Hi Christian, This video is just what the doctor ordered, I practice just what you have covered and my boring 5 finger business I do till my fingers are tired, and I know Its important ! I am a 4 year beginner at 79 with Neuropathy in both hands but I have conquered it by consistant practice. I have mastered 6 Boogie left hand patterns already. I hope this gives some other budding Pianist the inspiration they need. You and Dr k are my mentors. Ron Novak AKA Doc Ivory.
So I think perhaps the most important video in your channel Christian - thanks a lot - but I've not seen all videos till today :P but it will follow soon. Greetings and God with you
For me, this is your best video. One of the best on RUclips! Wonderful teaching and insights, as well as your signature humor. A treasure from Berlin :)
It opened the same door for me when I learned it a couple of years ago. I got this from Hal Crooks book How To Improvise, the bible for serious students, also in Jazz schools like Berkeley and sorts. Means you can leave the plateau you always imagined for yourself.
Another great video. I sometimes forget that even the good players had to walk a long way before they learned how to run and that we are all only human after all and practise makes perfect. Keep up the good work my friend, it’s greatly appreciated!!
The bread and butters were delicious! Thank you for the instruction and encouragement! Practice = progress! good lesson for all levels. Guess I will dig out my copy of "Blues Hanon."
Thomas Edison's famous quote: "Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration." Transpiration, I believe, only happens in plants. But it's okay. We native English speakers actually find it quite charming the way you sometimes play with our language... second of course only to your playing with the piano. Love from the USA.
Very enjoyable!!!!! Thank-you for, your time, that you have given to us...We all only have a limited amount of time and you have made ours more valuable. ..
When do you know your piano channel is a leading innovator? .... When others copy & post your ideas three days later in their channel 😆 . Congratulations Christian The Original !
Man your videos, WOW,I'm like a kid in a candy store. I play a bit on the weekends but this is going to change. First I'll get my piano tune IT'S gonna be 2 years i haven't got it tune. You lighten that fire back inside. Thanks for the great joy you bring to this world. 😎
Another very useful, valuable lesson. It IS Good to hear about the greatest players still being human, needing to put the effort in to stay at the top of their game. Thanks much Christian!
Loving the Dr John characteristic lick in this video, thank you. I find it easier to follow than the tutorial you have already done on it. I am responding with a post because you asked in I think it was yesterday’s video, that the silent watchers do that so that you know what we want :)
It takes work to be great, to stay great. Unfortunately, I only get to play about 3 hours a day, work certainly cuts into my free time. Plus, I'm an artist - (drawing, painting) which cuts into more "free time". it always helps to be reminded that we need to practice, even the basics. Thanks Christian. I hope all is well with you.
Master Christian, are you trying to look like Dr. Brix with the scarf? If so, we can't believe anything you say. How about an ascot? That would be so British. 😁
I enjoy your tutorials. They’re full of practical, useful information. I have an idea for you. Perhaps, if you’re so inclined, you could put together a series like the blues jam survival guide for keyboardists. This would be geared towards how to prepare for and how to play in a blues jam. I have not seen any single source anywhere on the internet that comprehensively addresses the pianist/keyboardist playing in a blues jam.
Always check my playlists. Many dont, though there might be what they are looking for. Try this one ruclips.net/video/OLbq1bxUG7E/видео.html Also RUclips search Christian Fuchs piano band play :-)
Christian Fuchs Thanks! Great insight into how a pianist might approach a slow blues jam. I had something a little different in mind. A more comprehensive study in how to approach the majority of Blues styles that one might encounter in a blues jam. Not just slow blues, but Chicago Blues, Texas Blues, minor blues, etc. Also focusing on keys that guitarists are more likely to play in such as E, A, F, G. Anyway, just a thought.

I love Pratchett, too. Great and wise humor he has.
Cool quote 😂Gonna get me some Terry Pratchett....cheers Lars
Very good and useful THANKS a Lot and God Bless you and the Work greeting from Aalborg but I'm originallly from Faroe Inseln🙏🇩🇰🇫🇴
Great tutorial! Exciting look inside the masters secret cabinet.
5% inspiration and 95 % hard work. So true.

....hi, very helpful...but how you play the LEFT HAND....?-..is a very good pattern...greetings from🇨🇭Bruno
Christian you never fail to instruct and amuse. But for me (a real beginner) there was some tremendous stuff in here. Thank you sir.
Your best lesson yet. I never thought that creativity was something that could be practiced. That opens a new door for us, your faithful students.

There is a saying: The one who gets famous over night has worked a lot the day before!
Lovely sense of humour. Great teaching. Thank you.

Thank you sharing your piano wisdom. I have it bookmarked. am going to make these my daily exercises too. Thank you!

Thanks, Robert! Its a language barrier and language freedom at the same time. Cause I am forgiven easier, which lets me be the jester easier..

I'm satisfied with only one beer because I know there's more in the fridge.
Haha (5:02). They must do those differently in Berlin.

This video made me cry at a few points. I will rewatch and publish the relevant time stamps. :-)
Great! Both, the crying and the time stamps. Thanks a lot!
Needed!!! 🌹🌹🌹🔥😎
Wait! Practice and beer are not the same? Love your analogies Christian. Seriously though, thank you for your steady stream of teachings.
They can be the same, up to a certain degree and then paths spit all of a sudden. ( while you still think you practice...)
Super advice. Best on Facebook. Humorous comments make learning easy. Thanks Mr.Christian.

Are you from London do you do classes ?
No, from Berlin.
@@ChristianFuchsBlues greetings great videos whish to play good as you
Great video, lots of good ideas. BTW what was that song you were playing at 11:53? I’d love to hear the full version of that.
I wasn't playing a particular song. These are just chord 8ths. If I unconsciously quoted one.... maybe...

Excellent! Overcoming habits is always a win. And that comment was even good! :-)
I have Oscars practice book - Lesson 13 a good minuet - simple but worth it
Yep, his exercises are sweet!
Useful Christian! I always wonder HOW to practice a steady left hand while do some fancy stuff with the other hand.
RUclips search Christian Fuchs piano independence. ;-)
Christian Fuchs Thanks!

Well with three hours you are already top of the bunch. I calculated fame should be there by monday. Trust me.
@@ChristianFuchsBlues I will await fame and fortune! hahaha.
If I becomes fun - you’re not practicing.
What about: They are not opposites. Not by nature.
haha lol: i'm not 25 anymore...i'm 27 :)
Teachers are always right!!!
Love your content man, very nice.
Hat is a bit Afrika Korps.
Makes total sense. Africa.... Blues. .. wasn't there a connection.?!
Nice scarf.
Want it? 70€ In my sheet-music shop.
I decided to keep it, thanks to you!:-)

I think her name his Birx. Believer whoever you fancy, but on this channel my word equals truth. Thats the whole reason I have this channel..
