The rest of society doesn't care, they label us all as hispanic/lations. I am Mexican but I am a proud of every Latino working hard and doing what they need to do to be successful. Whether you're Puerto Rican, Salvadorian, Cuban, Mexican, it doesn't matter to society. So we should just all rise together and show them what we can all do

I am black and I met Selena in South Texas where I am from. Selena began to crossover before she died I love her global appeal and could've definitely been the biggest star who happens to be Latina.
I met her in 1991 in the Molina neighborhood. I was 6 or 7 at the time. Her father is an alumni of my high school Roy Miller High. She smelled like expensive perfume but is one of the most chill and humble celebrity I've ever met very accessible to the people.

I’m also latina and I agree with Adrienne about Latinos celebrating each other’s culture cause I have Venezuelan friends Mexican friends Cuban friends and we all make a big ass party every year at my house and celebrate with Latín music, food etc. And during dose parties we forget where we are from and just bond over the language (spanish) and have fun.
