    Wow 42mph was nuts! If the road was torn up under there that would have been a nightmare.

      @eyebahnrides  Месяц назад +2

      thanks for watching! Yeaaaa mann.... I can't believe it did that! Having the tire pressure at 50psi, the slight down hill, and less headwind because of the tunnel really helped with that 42mph. Honestly, I'm going back to 35psi because that ride was actually pretty brutal lol. I could hear every single bump in my voice lol

    I like the Ultra Flex - even at 85lbs, I think they look great. Nice to have protection from the wind & a seat, but at top speed, you're vibrating like a bachelorette party!

      @eyebahnrides  Месяц назад +3

      hahaha yea, you definitely feel alot of the road imperfections. I'm also running higher than usual tire pressure (50psi instead of 35psi) to see if it really helps with range and speed. It definitely did, but I'm going back to lower tire pressure for the comfort. The UF1200 is cool, but I just dont like the look of it lol. I know its a stupid reason not to get something but thats the reason I went with the 750. I wanted a change of pace from the S73 and wanted something with a bit more of a "bicycle" feel compared to the moped feel of the S73

    Wat up @eyebahnrides! Sheesh! It's always great seeing those cool views of NYC! I definitely need to take trip out there one of these days.. I've been to NY many times in my younger days but that was waaay b4 the eBike days😂! If your ever out on the Westcoast anywhere near the bay area definitely tap in brotha. Riding around here is completely different than riding in the big city. But there are some small pockets of that inner city commotion that I get to navigate through.. (keeps me on my toes!) Riding around here is a bit more laid-back unless you ride around Oakland.. which is definitely not for the rookies! Lol! Well, great vid as always 🙏🏼. Oh by the way what is the kilowatt app that you use? Are u just running it on your phone? If so how do you connect it to your bike for stats? Or is it it's own separate device? I'm curious, and I'm looking for something to be able to keep track of those type of stats while I'm out riding.. thanks again for all your feedback, happy riding and stay safe brotha!

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Месяц назад +1

      thanks for joining us on the long range stress test for the new controller! Seeing NYC while on a PEV is definitely the way to go since you can take in all the sights while avoiding all kinds of nonsense on the road lol. I'll let you know if I'm ever in the Bay Area, I would love to ride around the city on a PEV and visit Alien Rides (I believe they're based out of there). hahaha Oakland sounds like riding around in NYC!
      The Kilowatt App is the app that the Handlworks ASI BAC855 uses to flash over custom tuning while allowing us to monitor all those important stats needed for product testing. I think it only works with compatible controllers that have the bluetooth capability. The only thing I could think off that would generate stats for you would be the Relive App and Dragy Motors Speed Device/App. However, Relive is limited to route/ speed data while Dragy would be limited to speed data like 0-15,0-30, 0-60, 1/8th mile time, and 1/4 mile time since it's more of a racing based app. If you're looking for motor temp, battery expenditure, wattage, RPM, controller temp ETC, you'll need a custom controller and the corresponding app that can read the data generated by that controller.
      I hope this helps!

      @@eyebahnrides right on for the feedback! Definitely helpful. I talked to a cpl shops about a custom controller but because I have dual motors they said I'd need two separate throttles, one for each motor🤔 ... maybe there's a way to put the controllers together? Idk.. lol I'm not the most knowledgeable person about ebikes, but im learning! I'll have to look into it some more. I'm pretty happy with my bike as is but I'd definitely like a bit more top end speed, right now I'm getting 28mph but there's times when 35-40 would be more ideal mainly for dealing with some of these crazy drivers on the road.. you know what I mean.. lol! Well have great rest of your weekend bro!

He was gracious enough to let me try his zooz the first day I met him and immediately fell in love. I'm glad an OG zoozer could get his hands on it and give us his honest opinions. The zooz community in NYC came together and gave incredible actionable feedback that hopefully made the final products even more awesome than the buggy prototype!
      As for the throttle, here's the link. facebook.com/groups/310580497049332/user/61550852641425
      It's in my post from July 20. I sent you the link to the FB Group because I have an explanation there for Chris Cross about the Polish throttle. I love this throttle so much I have it on a Nami Burn E, Nami Klima Max and now the Zooz. I like how much more responsive it feels and how much more control I have modulating the throttle with it. It can be very sensitive so take your time getting to know it please! Don't go whiskey throttling yourself like that guy in the shreddie video!

    We have kinda similar situation like the citi bikes. I'm ofc talking about the people who do crazy stuff on rental scooters, and don't get me wrong, I see rental scooters as a great way to explore the city, but when people crash with them while riding with 2 or 3 people on top of 1 scooter, it means the hospital queues will get longer, and the government will restrict rules for e scooters and e bikes. And ofc these people give e scooters a bad name.

      thanks for joining us on the long range stress test of the new controller! I'm so glad we don't have rental scooters here. When we had REVEL Mopeds available to the public it was like the wild west in NYC. Add the Citibikers to it, it was a zoo lol. As aggressive and crazy as NYC traffic seems to outsiders, there is rhyme and reason to the way things move here. Generally, those operating the rental devices often operate outside of said "rhyme and reason" making it really dangerous for them and those around them. The stricter regulations are already on their way with NYPD on an active hunt to impound and fine individuals for clearly illegal PEVs as well as actively fining dangerous behavior. It's a shame but we definitely need some type of regulation.
      I appreciate your kind words and thank you for your continued support!

      thanks for joining us on this long range stress test JT and I wish you could record your rides too. I know performance modding is as touch of a subject as politics, but you really cant argue with hard stats generated from a filmed ride lol. Just like I was telling JD down below, I hope that you guys enjoy the boost in torque and performance as much as we did here in NYC. The community really came together to give their feedback on this one because we wanted our fellow Zoozers to have the best version of the controller when they ship out. I think given enough road way, everyone will be pleasantly surprised with the performance. If you have time check out the stats generated from my latest "Ride Therapy" video where I was testing 2 different tuning settings on the controller. The first half of the video is a experimental tuning, while the second half (heading uptown section ) is the performance tuning.

      The amount of rushing and dangerous maneuvers these drivers perform are just crazy. As a driver myself in the city, I've seen how the behavior of drivers evolve over the years. For years we were all just aggressive and navigating the city was like a dangerous ballet of vehicles, pedestrians, and bikes. Now there's this sense of entitlement and lack of caring by drivers that's really scary. I've had more close calls in my car the last 4 years, than the previous 10 years.

    Oh man, I love that bike! I'm 54 so all my pre-driver's license 'vehicles' were BMX. Would feel weird getting on one without pedaling. I can almost hear the Van Halen blaring in my orange-foam headphones & my Sony walkman. And acne.
    Just heard the province of Quebec (home province of Apollo scooters) outlawed all e-scooters on bike trails and lanes - basically, only the hilarious 500w rental scooters are allowed. I knew it was coming. Sorry to doomsday on your feed, that's just a huge market taken away by some busybodies.
    Luckily I don't live in Quebec (for SO many good reasons), but whenever I see groups of teenagers riding 50mph past pedestrians pushing baby carriages, I give them my YT version of "get off my lawn" speech. I'm just sorry to say I was right, legislation is not only coming, it's suffocating. I wish pedestrians/bicyclists were more like New Yorkers. They're not as self-righteous, and self-preservation is their own responsibility. It's illegal to turn right on a red light in Quebec, but they're the worst drivers on the continent. I took a southern highway around the city around rush hour on a Friday & not even in the fast lane, I had my Subaru WRX going 170km/h (~106mph) & Audis/Mercedes/BMW's flew past me going at LEAST 200km/h (125mph) in a 90km/h zone. I had to speed up to 180 just to get out of the lane & let people by. Not one of them signaled to change lanes in their lives, I'm sure of it.
    ...and THEY'RE the ones outlawing scooters? I feel bad for the real innovators in the industry. Everything they're making is creeping toward the chopping block - at a top speed of like 32km/h (20mph).

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Месяц назад +1

      thanks for joining us for this ride! Now that I've gotten to know the controller, I still pedal quite a bit with this bike. I only really did the throttle only for this ride to test how much heat would be generated and how much battery would get used with aggressive riding with just the throttle. But yea, normally I have my music blasting and I'm just chilling pretending I'm riding around my neighborhood with the walkmans on lol.
      Thats pretty crazy about Quebec and don't worry about doom and gloom. I appreciate you taking the time to write all that. Most of the issues are caused by vehicles and pedestrians in NYC as well. They are some of the most reckless bunch I've encountered. The sad thing is the PEV community takes alot of the heat and the regulations because we're new and people don't understand it. So they fear what they don't understand. On top of the the American Car/ Fossil Fuel Lobby has incredible influence on policies because of how much they contribute to political campaigns. So I'm not surprised they target anything that can challenge that dominance. This new tariff on PEVs is not only going to hurt alot of small business owners it's going to stunt the growth & development of the industry because noone will want to get into it if the margins are razor thin.

      I would say that comes with experience. After 2 decades of riding and driving in NYC, I've developed a way of judging the vehicles in front of me. Also, maintaining a defensive riding/ driving position is mandatory in the city. Once you get used to the flow of things, it's quite predictable. As for the bars, I only really worry about that on the 59th street bridge because its super narrow. The FOV of the action cameras make things appear much more narrow that it really is but the 59th street bridge lane is literally less than 3 feet wide ( the 10ft wide lane is shared by 2 directions of alternative transport and 2 directions of traffic!
