Ugh, I really hate to see how the writers make Sally grovel or pander (I am not sure that those are the correct words) towards Clark. Her character started out as really strong. She was a formidable business woman in a man's world. She sent thugs to beat up Clark when she didn't get what she wanted, now she is all about doing what Clark wants.
B & B definitely tried to address social issues at some level. I don’t always agree with the way the script writers did this, but there was an attempt to do this. I know people are saying times were different in the 90’s but they really weren’t all that different.
I have to agree with Stephanie here, she is an adult and should decide for herself with whom and if she wants to talk about personal things at all. Don't pressure her, won't do any good, especially by the two with their own problems 😉
Ridge better should have asked Felicia to talk to their mother. Felicia several times had been able to talk to Stephanie and Stephanie even seemed to listen to her youngest daughter. But no, - it has to be the therapist-love interest Stephanie has been passive hostile with during the last encounters - doing it when Stephanie already seemed very annoyed that evening before she met Taylor - and they then tried to force it on her (Ridge, you are taking a long shower so manners dictate that Stephanie has to let me in to wait. Stephanie, what are you reading?)
@@semoneg2826 I only blame him for the way he did it. - Why not call his old friend Dr. Michelle Brookner again? - Or a total stranger like Dr. Cameron (I don't think Caroline really mentioned him much to Ridge) Stephanie would have been a difficult case for anyone, but why ask someone Stephanie has been already hostile towards and disrespecting? - Why not ask Felicia for help? Felicia might have succeeded in even easing Taylor's entry: maybe Taylor helping Felicia with Jack, then they slowly switching to talk about Stephanie's well being. Instead of Taylor wearing Storm's ring but again being supposed to come for a "date" with Ridge, but interviewing (analyzing) Stephanie while her date is still under the shower.
The Forrester family (Caroline, Felicia, Ridge) keep Dr. Hayes busy and adding patients to her busy timetable. Now she became even Stephanie's therapist against Stephanie's will. Ridge: She (Dr. Hayes) is very qualified. Stephanie: There are many qualified doctors in LA. You don't see see me going over there picking up the phone and making an appointment do you?
*STEPHANIE'S VIEW* The Stephanie/Ridge/Taylor scene underscores how differently these characters see the world. To Taylor & Ridge, a divorce is something you work through in therapy, it's an emotional journey that you have to get through to accept the world and reality as it is. But Stephanie doesn't see the world that way: to her, a divorce is an unacceptable reality and rather than working through how she feels about it, she would rather work to change that reality, to make it something else. It's really quite brilliant how this scene makes those character differences clear. Stephanie's worldview is that you MAKE THINGS HAPPEN because she is clever, manipulative, perceptive and a control freak. Most of the other characters aren't like that so they don't understand where Stephanie is coming from. But there is one other character who will have a similar worldview and similar traits and who will pose a dangerous threat to Stephanie as a result, but it will be a year before she makes her way over to Los Angeles from Genoa City...
I don’t understand why Stephanie couldn’t move on and just had to be married to Eric. He had already been in love with Beth Logan and now with Brooke, remarried and with a child. I don’t know why she would even want him back. She had her children and co-owned a successful business, but acts like she just can’t move on.
