      What she did was a felony Federal offence, even without the biting. Once the doors are closed Interfering with a flight crew is a Federal Felony carrying a potential 20 year federal vacation, up to $250,000 fine and $37,000 in civil penalties.
      Sadly they usually (but not always) lower all the fines way down and little to no prison time. People need to have consequences.

      It actually is part of their job and part of their training, though they hope the never have to use it. The most important part of a flight attendants job is passenger safety, they are not there to only serve drinks and terrible airplane food.

      I was in the denver airport a couple months ago. There was this really big tall man around the bar area picking a fight with another man for no reason! Thank God he was apprehended and not allowed on a flight. He was clearly drunk. 🙄

    Some epileptics are deemed by their doctors to be unable to drive and are therefore restricted. Some people with mental illness should be restricted from flying by their doctors because they are not stable enough to handle it.

    She wasn't arrested after assaulting a flight attendant during a flight and who knows what else she did. How are people gonna learn if they don't face consequences? This is setting an extremely bad example that you can do whatever you want and not get punished.

    How was she not arrested? She knew exactly what she was doing, it wasn't a mental breakdown. She BIT A FLIGHT ATTENDANT! That is assault and a felony!
