I'm the ghost of the girl in the well
Killed by a man who owned my family
It's been many years since I fell
Still no one has found me
I was fourteen years old when I died
The earth had just turned and the field were alive
So alive
Mister called out to me and I ran
I didn't want to be under him
Anymore
I'm the ghost of the girl in the well
I was trying to hide when my fingers slipped
In the darkness I cried and I cried
All my tears
Taken by the water
I'm the ghost of the girl in the well

R. I. P. Robert Fisher, or some news said you died, thank you for your music ....
Perhaps the most compelling song on one of the most compelling albums of the millennium thus far. I use it in my Reconciliation class for a lecture on the theme of lament.
WGC is one of the best bands I discovered in the last years.
Robert Fisher. (c.1957 - 12 February, 2017), American singer & songwriter. Willard Grant Conspiracy.
Touching...they touched me..love
This song breaks my heart...
just discovered this guy today, watching random videos on youtube... and i love it
This song is great because it's totally fucking grizzled but beautiful at the same time. I used to not really understand the whole "Appalachian" sound or whatever they called it. That is until I discovered guys like these and Bonnie Prince Billy. It's great.
Gran músico. Una pérdida difícil de superar
RIP Robert. :-(
goodbye Robert
I cannot look at these images right now. Listening, but not looking. Too much.
