Nice job Jessica and you know friendship in filipinos varies in relationships like what we call "BARKADA" that you all stays as friends forever and means like brotherhood or sisterhood that you can't have a mutual relationship with your barkada and just pure friendship. There is this just friend between a boy and girl like "kapitbahay" that you both know the family's whole stories. No secrets at all. A true friend where you can tell your problems whatever it is. Well, I don't know how Koreans define friends but still true friendship will carry you at all times in trouble and in joy. Salamat 🥰

It's normal for a boy and girl to be just friends and hang out. While sometimes (or often) one side or both has mutual feelings is another topic entirely but it isn't always the go-to route they'll end up with.
I love the way Jessica unnie asks if the two guys are in a relationship. Jessica unnie has a good manner in communicating with others and she knows everything in the community.
It's normal here in the Philippines to have purely platonic relationships between opposite sex, even hanging out together alone. I noticed that's such a big deal for Koreans...
There are some interviews in Korea where one person won’t allow their partner to hangout with the opposite sex and will make a big deal about it 😂
Tbh from my observation in the Philippines, the male and female can be in friends or more than that like how Ppop idols did (Ppop male and female idols can be friends together) but in Seoul and Kpop that's depressed boredom and only girls shall be friends with girls themselves or similar to boys
As if it's not an "issue" here a lot of the times as well. Even though it's more seen here there's till quite a lot of people that make a big deal about it. Many celebrities that have a purely platonic friendships have rumors about those said friendships. Some are even made into ships. I have been called a slut for having a lot of guy friends, rumors that I am dating my male friends. Not to mention the girl bestfriend/boy bestfriend trope that really tampers with the platonic relationships of opposite genders. There's also debates here whether or not opposite gendered friendships can happen. Just because it exists in a larger scale doesn't mean it's quite normalized here.

Maybe that's one big difference between the Philippines and Korea. In the Philippines, it's quite normal to have close friends between guys and girls and they can hang out and eat together. It actually saddens me that it's such a taboo in Korea.
I very much agree with this since I myself have a lot of guy friends and we subconsciously know our boundaries.
It is really normal for male and female to be JUST friends, I'm a guy and I have a girl bestfriend, we're good friends because we get each other and we have the same humor but we never see each other in a romantic relationship, just purely platonic. It's like a sister and brother bond as well.
I agree. Feel ko lumalabas yung "Korean" side ni Jessica when it comes to a platonic relationship between a guy and a girl haha. Pansin ko rin sa ibang mga Koreans, ganyan din mindset nila.
I don't know why, pero i find it awkward nung nag tatanong na s'ya about personal relationships ng customers--especially if may nakikita s'yang magksamang boy & girl na kumakain. Then, hindi maniniwala kapag sinabing friends lang sila. 🙃

Male and female friendship between filipinos is pretty normal, bestfriends though is a bit sus, although some would say yes, it's a definite no for me if you are in a relationship, since it's a very thin line between bestfriends and being a couple with opposite genders.
In shawarma wrap you have to spread out the ingredients to make a roll

Hi Ate Jessica! In a normal relationship, it starts being a friends, its a normal thing here that we can being a "friend" with a girl, even if the boy don't have crush on her. I have a moment like that in High School. Being having friend that is a girl, It doesn't mean I have a crush on her.
