    Kylian can go both ways as his curve shots are not bad either. But the reason why he does the near-post finish is because it makes the goalkeeper think. Mbappe’s been doing this whipped near post finish for 5+ years now. I’m sure opposition keepers & coaches are aware of it, but if they try to gamble when saving it they leave the far post open + setting themselves and shifting their ankles will also slow reaction time as Henry mentioned. It has a dual purpose of sorts & gives keepers another thing to try and process when facing him in a 1v1.

      Because Henry thinks he is a superior player (which is true) and that shows in his way of coaching with a subtle patronizing attitude. That's how in France we are explaining his repeated failures as a coach in Canada and Monaco.

      @superking-nicolaslucau7252 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@jptouzeauI think it's mostly because of his dad. His father was a super patronizing tyrant and didn't give him any love, as he was all about work work work. Obviously that attitude worked with Thierry so that's what he tries to do with his teams, but most players hate to be coached that way, especially nowadays.
      I still believe he's better as an assistant coach like what he did for the Belgian NT rather than a headcoach.

      This is the definition of a masterclass. He's putting us in the mind of the striker and explaining why it's a more difficult finish than it appears.
      This is brilliant, unlike the lazy nonsense at sky where all they do is talk about how bad the defending is instead of acknowledging the good attacking play.
