Great to see these old Martins! I love my 1967 00-18 and will never give it up. It sounds just like this, as far as I can make out via RUclips audio. Oh man Todd, prepare for the firestorm over that pen-on-the-lower-bout scrape... 😲😜😂😁🙂🤣 Relax people, these guitars can take a lot more than that.
luv those old Martins , such great tone and so pretty , really liked the all mahogany one , and the smaller size guitars are real nice to play , the bigger ones sound better in a performance venue but for a small set , these are so much better . Very cool JB there Todd , a talented guitarist for sure , always a treat at Norms , thanks guys.
Professor Todd just gave us the Martin Guitar introductory course. Come back next semester for the intermediate course! I am very disappointed that he didn't wear his Martin hat for this episode. That would've made the back room segment so much more poignant. Haha 😄
This guitar sounds absolutely beautiful! Excellent playing on this demo. I have a 00-18 from 1956. You can't beat these 50's 00-18's! they sound MUCH bigger and better than the size would indicate. Made in the old factory with hide glue, the 60+ year old wood sounds amazing!
Hi Todd & Jen Nice 000-18, Job well done folks, to the both of you. I am looking for a 7-28 Martin guitar, if you ever run across one, please e-mail me, I would definitely be interested. Need the small neck due to my hand is fused. Thanks Barry
Wish I could afford a vintage small body guitar, I just have a new (2yrs old)oo18 Martin. Not much to boast about. I suppose I need to stop buying fender custom shop guitars 😞
Tod, even though you drug thate piece of wood across the instrument, I Really Dig it when You do GOTD. Besides being an EXCELLENT Musician, you have alot of Knowledge of the Instruments, and a Great Knack for delivering Stats, facts mixed with some Storytelling.............Tod, Lemmo should take notes...lol. Big LOVE to ALL of you at Norms and as JEN would say.................. Byeeee 🎸💚
That’s hilarious, these guys handle more vintage guitars in a day than most of us will in a lifetime. I think they know the plastic pen is not going to scratch anything. Guitars aren’t made from cardboard.
It’s a demonstration of how durable these guitars are!! Cmon man!! Little pencil tap here. Little drag of a pencil there. When people do that to my guitar it makes me super happy!!! Amazing!!
bang'em together one more time... holy fuck! the guitar gods must be going crazy...get these instruments out of this clowns hands... let him go play with the guitars at guitar center.
EXCUSE ME TODD, Im a minute and fifty seconds into the vid and WTF! You just ran across the lower bought of this Guitar with a Pencil or Something, I mean Right Across the Finish! I love you Todd, but take it Easy Bro.....🎸💚
No, I own a few Martins, they aren’t cardboard believe it or not. They handle multiple vintage guitars every day, I think they know what they are doing.
@@Hillcapper1Out of respect for my vintage Martins I try to keep them as ding and scratch free as I can. But, I guess we all don't feel the same way. (Willie Nelson) LOL
You expect people to pay good hard-earned money for those guitars after you scraped them and beat them up with that pen in your right hand ??? What the hell !!!
2018: people freaking out over Agnesi's jacket.
2020: Todd, "Hold my beer ..."
I can assure you all that no guitars were harmed in this video, but thanks for caring!
tod wisenbaker you did great, and I did learn something about the model sizes. Thank you!
#pearlclutchers
Someday I’m gonna bring in my Grandfathers 1931 and have the neck reset and Todd can play it.
Nice job!!!
can you please play jerry on a regular basis...please
Old martins on flat top Friday are my favorites!!
Love the Antique Toddshow! Great playing and great guitars! Nothing better! However! Gotta do a Maton!

"These Days" was the first Jackson Browne song. Very nice Todd.
Yes but can he play this song whilst singing Smoke on the water??? lol
Jackson Browne. Many, many hits. AND, many, many, MANY Eagles hits wouldn't exist without him ;).
🙂
I love flat top Friday. Great job, as usual, Tod! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Fantastic playing for sure
This was so nice..👍
I’m starting to get the feeling I need to live next door to Norman’s Rare Guitars
Clang, crash, bam, bang, bang, scrape, scrape. Ughh! No biggie, they're only 1946's and 1957! I'm dying here, Is Norm?
Acoustic Guitar Heaven!!! Great term coined by Todd
Learned a lot from this vid. Love it.
Oh my...what wonderful guitars and playing.
Good job Tod. I’m really craving a 00.
More informational episodes like this please! Loved this one!

Hey Todd - Martin Guitar 101. Thanks for the primer, but pepperoni looking pickguard! Nice playing on the Jackson tunes!
Lovely
Jen was that your idea Todd from Todd's antique show? That was a good one. 👍
Thank you! I have always been a little confused about the Martin sizing. When did they start putting adjustable truss rods in the neck?
Todd I throughly enjoyed you playing yes do play the othe Martin too 👍🏻👍🏻☮️💕🎸
Very nice playing Todd!!
With no disrespect to Lemmo, Todd seems to demonstrate the sound of the acoustic guitars better.
Jen is always fabulous.
thank you.

Go Todd! Would really like to see the smaller mahogany body Martin next flat top Friday.
Great breakdown!!
me, 70s D15 at Starving Musician, '99, $800. Played great. Only Martin I ever played..

Soon as you said Jackson I was hoping for These Days - well done!
Todd's cool!
Sounds so good Hi Jen
Great guitar and great playing, but will someone please buy Todd a new pair of jeans!
I’m guessing all the dings are an ‘in house’ feature. The way he scraped the pencil across the soundboard! I wouldn’t let him over the threshold.
Great vid folks - almost as good as that Maton review you did a few weeks back!

SECOND TUNE NOT WRITTEN BY JACKSON BROWN- ITS A DANNY OKEEFE SONG. HIS VERSION IMO IS STILL THE BEST.

@@tylercarr9097 thank you very much
Totally Todd needs a dry erase board and markers, a periodic table and a laser pointer to trace the Martin lineage next time...
Next vid you do Review a dean guitar
Good job Todd!!
I got pretty nervous watching you handling all those expensive instruments with that pointy finger held in your hand @
And in that confined space filled with hard edges!
Next! 1946 j45!! Pls

New Martin standard models should have been sprayed the vintage gloss finish to the neck....
Slightly boxy sounding but in a mix...BOOM.
Great playing
Stop beating up the Martins!! 😡
You can't have a looper pedal on an acoustic - and thats good. Classic songs on a classic guitar and a perfect Guitar of the Day
Say what u guys want. But if someone handles my precious acoustic like that I’d be quick to say wtf and snatch if back.
Do an M36
They are 4 O’s

Todd Angelo Batio - play both guitars at the same time. lol
i did learn somethin - thank you all - miss mark sometimes
I had a 1940 O-15, but in really bad shape, wish it looked like that 0-15!
I cringed AGAIN! 3:28 and following!
Are old guitars really that good? Because a lot of them sound dull and muffled. Like this one. The wood is dead and non vibrant.
Vintage value is hard to estimate.....
bang'em together one more time... holy fuck! the guitar gods must be going crazy...get these instruments out of this clowns hands... let him go play with the guitars at guitar center.

That poor guitar! Someone buy it quick!
I cringed!! 1:45 Anybody else??
I'm not sure why you're clutching your pearls. Did he slide a razor blade against the guitar and somehow I mistook it for a harmless pencil?

Are you trying to dent and scratch those beautiful guitars? Put the stupid pen down and stop banging the guitars against each other.
