I have an Erhnam Burn'em list I like to call Curvy Bears: 4 Grizzly Bears 4 Ironclaw Orcs 4 Kird Ape 4 Llanowar Elves 3 Elves of Deep Shadow 4 Erhnam Djinn 3 Scavenger Folk 3 Giant Growth 4 Lightning Bolt 4 Chain Lightning 1 Strip Mine 4 Taiga 4 City of Brass 4 Mountain 4 Forest 4 Mishra's Factory 2 Pendelhaven Basically the scavenger folk is for their factories defense and you just curve out and play combat tricks:)
I think we should see more of that in general overall. The updated factory self pump on the block rule should not be used… it is not contemporary to the old school meta and should not have been accepted. The old school community picks and chooses rules they like and restrictions they like all the time that make sense. Just as preserving the parfait rules and ignoring the update for mini anrtifacts because that makes sense or restriction mana drain for powers reasons despite that never being a restricted card… ever…. Just to name a couple off the top of my head, new rules cannot just be accepted without considering the implications on the meta. It is NOT a living card game and this meta and some of the changes being made right now are not only for new cards but also to solve and expand or resolve online card game issues that have nothing to do with paper… Bottom line, Factory should never eat Kird Apes… triple Period. Factory almost has to be restricted at this point as games are getting really sameish and deckbuilding is suffering. That card was never meant to be that for that format… bottom line. Every old schooler knows it but just wants to have their cake and eat it too. So annoying
I understand that these tournaments are more casual but i've never seen anyone put cards that are exiled into their graveyard facedown as Denzel does at 16:28, 28:00, 30:40 and then when timetwister hapens puts his exiled erhnam behind his deckbox at 18:20 out of his opponents sight. Cards in exile are given not hidden information so to turn them facedown is not proper conduct. Maybe someone can tell him next time.
@@TimmytheSorcerer I understand that and of course i'm not accusing him of cheating or any bad intentions it's just that concealing given information from your opponent like this is not proper. If the opponent wants to know let's say how many erhnams are still left in his deck and then has to ask him what cards are in exile and then Denzel has to flip over his exiled cards it gives Denzel information about his opponent wanting to know what has been exiled so now Denzel can think about what does my opponent have for which knowing what is in exile is relevant. I know this didn't come up here but it may in the future and then Denzel would get an unfair information advantage out of it. I'm sorry for being so nitpicky but if i were his opponent i would ask him not do this anymore. If i was playing only sol ring i would probably play shatterstorm rather than shatter in this particular format ; especially with 4 llanowar. I started playing a few month before the first World championship and being french I was especially interested in B lestre deck from the final which made my play group realize that tempo is key and couldn't be overlooked but because we were short on dual we all tried to emulate is RUG agro deck by playing only GR like Joep does but we soon found out adding green for dib instead of gargoyles, psi blast instead on GG/berserk and access to power is necessary. such a deck take massive advantage from draw7s, time walk allows attacking twice and dib is the best 3cc creature as it flies deals 3 escape bolts and COP red. If you chose to skip white to be more agressive kird ape / dib / ernham are the way to go, i would switch elves for birds if using unstable mutation instead of giant growth and psi blast instead of ice storm

Surprised he didn't play Invisibility to make the classic combo of an unblockable Juggernaut, which also gives you a card that effectively makes any of your creatures unblockable unless you play against that one weirdo playing an Animated Walls deck lol.
@@TimmytheSorcerer Makes me think a Green-Blue deck would be the best fit for that combo. Green gives you Giant Growth and Berserk (which we got to see, how cool what that?) and also Avoid Fate which doesn't protect it from Shatterstorm and Chain lightning, but it does help keep it safe from Shatter, Disenchant, Crumble, Lightning Bolt, Swords to Plowshares, Control Magic, Steal Artifact.. this has me thinking now.
Dunno if intentional, but thanks for explaining why the finals usually end up also being merely Bo3. Ahh for an impressive creature, if only Juggernaut's art was a little less silly.
I feel like CoPs are cheap. I think they are fine to use for prevention in combo with things like hurricane, pestilence, ect, but I dont feel they should be used again combat damage at all. Just feels wrong....

are collectors edition and such allowed in the tournies to play??
It is different per tournament, but at most events you can play them. At this event you could play with 10 re-prints, CE/IE are considered re-prints.
