Dude, I had really bad insomnia for four months a few years ago and this song perfectly captures the delirium of not having slept in weeks. One of my favorite songs of all time.
one of my favorite things about this band is that they have some sort of meaning behind every song and they're always so open with their fans unlike so many other bands that try to keep meanings behind their songs a huge secret. i love set it off
At like 3 in the morning me and my friend came up with a parody of a song that we sing in chorus about blowing up cars and acid beavers and that's when we were like "we need sleep"

I know this is random but your writing has really gotten me by through a lot of times. I love how you write about things that actually happen to you and that you don't just make up. The whole band is talented and when my band got a chance to play with you guys in Orlando i died. Meeting you is one of the best things that could have happened to my music career and thank you oh so much for inspiring me in multiple ways.
I've struggled with sleep since I was ten, I would just lay awake till one in morning, in know this as my dad would go to bed at that time, I am always doing something till one or two in the morning on a school night and three on a weekend, I do sleep normally sometimes, but anxiety, stress and worry kick my ass and I go back to sleeping at 11/12/1. This song holds a place in my heart as I can relate to staying awake on my side, laughing at everything, feeling like I'm losing my mind and just having a ton of energy. This song is one of my favorites.
saammee, i legit only sleep for like 1 hour a night and i always have soo much energy ((probably bc i LIVE off monster drinks(thanks to SIO and being so tired at one of their concerts that when i nearly fell asleep Cody gave me 3 monsters and later Maxx gave me 3 and Zach and Dan gave me 2 each, all in one day)and now i am fu**ing addicted to them), i always listen to this when i can't sleep, when it gets to "i notice my hands begin to twitch" my hands twitch and it is like that for EVERY SINGLE part of the song

(Btw this is my fav song and I still listen to it after what my father told me anyways) I kid u not, my father heard not even half of the first verse and told me to turn it off cuz it sounded like it was promoting drugs. Just to spite him I went outside after he lectured me and blasted the song.
Id say Im the same, when I can ill stay up all night (Im actually watching this at 4:05 lol) and when I need to get sleep cause of school i fall asleep at 2 something at the earliest..... IM AMAZED I STILL HAVE STRAIT A'S LIKE WOW!

im 11 and for the last 4 years ive been a insomniac also depressed and your songs have ... well cope with suisidal thoughts so thanks and i fall asleep at like 12 and wake at 3 it doesent help that even if i do sleep im still tierd knowing im notalone helps alot i realate to almost all your songs and am proud to call my self a fan if you could give me a shoutout id be very happy (call me alpha ) you dont have to but i thought id ask and put it on a vid but noworrys if you dont PS im actully a very smart kid i mean phycopath smart or terrorist smart and you can go ahead and say whatever the hell you want and i know to you im just another fan but to me you are a reason im alive and who i am today.

I thought this song was based off insomnia only and not being able to sleep rather than forcing yourself to be awake. “I’m stuck self torturing” makes more sense. I feel like I can relate to this song more cuz I’ve always felt that I really couldn’t since I don’t have insomnia, I just like the night better than day cuz it’s quiet and no one is awake except for me. It’s peaceful. I may look like a total wreck all the time but what can you do🤷♀️

Normally I go to sleep at about 4 in the morning and wake up at 9 or 10, but I also do weekly graveyard shifts at work from 10pm until 6:30am. So…not an insomniac, but still sleep deprived 👍

I am not an Insomnanic. I sometimes have troubles sleeping through or falling asleep but it only takes 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours to fall asleep. Most of the time I stay up until 4 am in the morning because I want to and I have to get up at 6 am. I do that so many days in a row until I am so tired that I just fall asleep without me, noticing it. You could say I am an intentional "Insomniac" xD

Jfc this was 10 years ago 😭😭 I've always had trouble staying asleep, falling asleep, and keeping a regular schedule, and I always thought I was weird and that it's so easy and I should just get good sleep already.
