One of the last shows I ever seen and one of the last ever put on at the legendary Rockefellers in Houston, Texas absolute great venue for a show. See many great acts there unbelievable. From the first time I heard on the radio bought the CD and had to see them live and how ironic it was The night I saw them. There was a Saturday night and the last time I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan perform was at the legendary satellite lounge right next-door many years earlier. I’ll never forget that show Stevie absolutely tore it up that night. The satellite was packed. Stevie was wireless. He walked out into the middle of Washington Avenue, which is right out front in the middle of the street standing there playing his guitar cars actually stopped for him and it was amazing. You could barely get out the door to see it, but I’ve had friends. Tell me who were outside who couldn’t get into the venuewhat had happened and we had seen him walk out the front doors with his guitar playing still hearing them it was something I will never forget ever in my lifetime.
Last time I saw them at Antones, I was standing directly in front of David and his stage amp, I could barely hear the PA at all, but I could hear every note he was playing. Superb ! Took a bunch of pics that evening and they are posted on the Facebook 'Storyville' group.
What a band this was..Absolute quality throughout. Had the privilege of putting this group on at their only London show at the legendary 100 Club. They blew the roof off...Magnificent!!
Had the Honors to see these brothers several times coming through my home state of Virginia and talking with them after the Jam! Austin Music at it's BEST!🎸🥁🎙️🎶
Man, I miss the recordings from these guys. What band. One of my all-time favorites. I kept an open mind about Texas after hearing these guys. Wow.
