Um, yes and no. Please read genesis, I think the spalm prayer is in there, not sure. There is actually a prayer to curse your enemies. This is called tough love prayer. God is tough love. Even St.Konan the gardner had to curse the government just because he couldn't make community gardens and feed the poor. We can pray for mercy but that doesn't mean we will get it. That is why God is terrifying.
Last night i had a horrific nightmare that made me realise just how separated i have become from God. After years of victimising myself, foolishly thinking i could do it on my own and arrogamtly living my life like it owed me...I've never been so wrong. I've been a selfish man, given blessing after blessing from God but stubbornly holding on to the vices of my hearts desires. Ive never k own peace bevause i have rejected Christ time and time again and now i find myslef at the edge of missing out on an eternal life with Christ. Im a drug addict 10 years of ice and sexual immortality has dimmed the light in my heart and the door i once had fully open to Christ ive almost shut bevause ive refused to give up those worldly things that i keep holding on to. Please pray for me, my name is Jose and today i will completely surrender myself to the Lord. I want to live, i want those whom i hurt and pushed away to love me again but most of all, i want to feel the closeness to God i had before i began to reject Jesus Christ. And thank you Fr.Mari and thank you to my beloved Maya...as harsh as your words might have been were last night its exactly what i needed to hear; the truth.
