- Ole Miss and Southern Miss played game 2 of the Hattiesburg Super Regional in the 2022 College Baseball Season. The Rebels came in with a 1-0 series lead, meaning they were just 1 win away from advancing to the College World Series in Omaha.

From last team in to Omaha. And doing it in dominant fashion. (5-0) in the tournament. What a turnaround.
With how poorly they played in April and May when they were playing conference games. We forget how good this team was in March when they were ranked as high as #2. They will win it all just as long as they don't run into too many SEC teams.

@@modernwheatcultivation6863 All I'm saying is Ole Miss season went downhill once the SEC part of their schedule started. Those teams are like Kryptonite. They won their first 9 games until they suffered their first loss. Were 13-3 before the SEC season started. Then they went 4-8 getting swept twice in their first 4 series. Based on how they played against these teams they'll lose. However, in the CWS anything can happen. If they keep playing as they have been I think they'll at least make it to the title game. Yet, there are several other teams that are playing just as well as they are right now. This CWS just may go down as the best and most closely contested in history.

Ole Miss is almost always one of the most talented teams in the nation. Unfortunately the coaching is usually not there. They have ripped through the tourney though. Hopefully the momentum will continue in OLEmaha.
It's no surprise Ole Miss is in the CWS. Like Notre Dame, they are playing with a chip on their shoulders. If the Rebels keep playing like they were in March. Look out! They could win it all.

Some of the “passed balls” were wild pitches. When the catcher sets up outside and dude rips it way inside … that’s a pitcher who can’t hit his mark and throwing his catcher to the wolves … and I’m not putting that on the backstop.
Yeah but some were just the catcher being slow/lazy
yeah, and ones drilled in the dirt. as a catcher id be kinda offended for an announcer to be saying they’re pass balls when im working hard behind the plate
I agree, when you’re set up outside and the pitch comes in on the inner half of the plate, that’s on the pitcher.
