Not sure what it is since I’ve always worn the mask and had no problems, but my new one feels crooked on my face and like one cheek has more pressure on it than the other. Maybe a strapping thing, but can’t figure it out.
Still wearing the 2018 model of the mask aside from it being really heavy compared to modern these two more modern ones and the foam absorbing everything so it has to be squeezed out after each practice, the mask itself is an absolute tank
Bought a 960 last year after coming from a Wall W8 Shell with custom mods by Doug Wager and the first thing I noticed and hated really was the amount of sweat it holds. Like I always dry my gear after every skate with a fan and dehumidifier and it was still holding sweat after a day or two occasionally. Nice to hear that's improved. The other thing that I noticed immediately going to a 960 was that I felt like I was deaf. The 960 muffled things WAY WAY more than any other mask I've used.
@@thegoalnet5915 I haven't had a ringer in it, but I also never did in my Wall W8 either but I could at least hear out of it. Was so shocking that first skate in it, I was like there is no way this is normal? After reading up and speaking with some equipment manager friends in the AHL and NHL as well as the owner of SkinFX wraps who deals with a ton of pros and their helmets. I found out it's common and by design like you said.
is it worth the upgrade from s21 - s24 ? If I can save money and buy the older model is it just as good? or should I spring the extra money for the S24 version? It's about a 300 dollar difference right now.
I've been looking for both a history of the 960 and a comparison of the two most recent versions, so your video was perfect!

Did you like the dampening? That’s by design

@@thegoalnet5915 I'm not even kidding I got a ringer tonight for the first time ever in it 🤣.

thanks for staying out of the camera
Huh?
Is the new one slightly lighter?
I have not weighed them, but not, nothing stands out with that. Kraibon is about better dampening compared to Smacwrap
