Everyone wants to forget the real thing. When she was 14 (when she was a child) Cuba disowned Vargas. She came to Turkey when she was 16 and for 7 years she has been living in Turkey. She has not just a citizenship but also a homeland. They need to accept that first. If they were going to be this jealous, they would have given the citizenship to Melissa in the first place. Melissa Vargas's story isn't like this she was playing very well, let's make her Turkish Citizen! It was about giving a home to a talented person. Citizenship has been given to a person who worked here as an asylum seeker and now as a "Turkish" she is doing her job great!
The most deserved EuroVolley victory. They had such a hard road and still made it. Beating Poland, Italy and then Serbia within 1 week is a amazing accomplishment and they can be very proud of it. Oh my God what a year for the coach Santanelli!! He is only mid 30s, and Turkey for the first time won VNL World Championship and European Championship in his first year as a coach! Turkey always got close but ended up being 2nd or third in these tournaments and Santanelli made it! He is very inspiring. What a strange encounter, Guidetti ex-Turkey coach on the Serbia side and Santanelli ex-Serbia coach on the Turkish side, and their being both Italian too! Quite funny coincidence it was! :) Made the match even more interesting. Both teams were amazing, it was hard to know how it will end till the very end, they both had chances as teams! They would score and score but the other side would catch up quickly/ There were quite a few moments we sat at the edge of the chair, both sides passing ball to each other for a long time with us waiting who will drop it finally.

Don't forget Zhu... with China without star players like Turkiye, Serbia, Italy, Brazil, USA, but Zhu has brought China to achieve everything in the main tournament. Even though China is currently on the decline, they are still a strong team with Zhu and Li Ying Ying.
There is clearly a middle player difference. Eda and Zehra were very good. Zehra played with 100%. Türkiye is almost a complete team. Vargas Zehra Eda Ebrar Hande Gizem Elif Cansu all of them are really successful. Boskovic and Vargas are two elite setter crosses. However, Türkiye has an advantage in the remaining positions.

LOL haters acting like Serbia didn't try to naturalize Vargas and failed miserably because she has a sense of belonging to Türkiye, a country that embraced, nurtured and supported her for 5 years. Also, everybody knows that one player is not enough to be the champion. Zehra played with %100, all of them were unbelievably good and kept their cool and in the end, they got the gold medal they deserved. This is the only team that faced the strongest teams of the tournament. This win was not deserved by any team more than Türkiye. Why do so many people act like their country’s teams have no different nation players? Noone can deny that boskovic is bosnian, egonu is nigerian, antropova is russian. Yes that's true. There is no better player in the Serbian team than Boskovich. All they can do is pass the ball to Boskovich. Turkey, on the other hand, has good players such as Zehra Güneş who played 100% with 15 points, Vargas who scored 41 points, Captain Eda Erdem and best libero in the world Gizem Örge.

Vargas made our team complete. She is another level. Our liberos (Gizem&Simge) and blockers (Eda&Zehra) considered one of the bests in the world. Ebrar changed her position and still did an amazing job. Many volleyball players said that is very hard thing to do and needs time to adapt. (for example stysiak said it) Our hitter did some mistakes but her defence was awesome. She keep the ball in the game in very critical moments. Our setters completed each other. Elif Şahin is still young, her potantial being one of the bests is huge.
Want to clarify one thing: Ebrar has been under attack by Islamist Turks for months. They’ve been calling for her license to be revoked and her expulsion from national team due to her sexual identity. She is fighting in and out of the court. That’s why the way she celebrates is kind of aggressive. She scores against bigotry as well. Know that women’s volleyball is pretty popular in Turkey. As a huge football fan myself, believe me we all know from Boskovic to Egonu and respect all. There is no disrespect to any opponent team, we just stand with Ebrar. A true warrior. We will keep supporting her no matter what 👍🏻

The Turkish national team is more evenly staffed. Besides Vargas, there is Eda, who is very strong in short ball plays. There are Gunesh, Baladyn and Karakurt. Serbia has only Boskovic. Congratulations to Turkey for winning twice this year!! Bravo!!

Even though I'm italian and quite disappointed with Italy's poor results, I'd like to congratulate with both teams, particularly with Turkey: with a new coach and player, in a few months Turkey has already won 2 tournaments (VNL and EC). If Serbia had won instead, it would have become a "black beast" also for Turkey (as it has been for Italy till recent years) and if Italy has/d Egonu and Serbia Boskovic, now Turkey has Vargas and I think it's going to have further great results also for the future, it's no longer a strong team which eventually remains with empty hands, all in all there are always good opportunities for everyone and sooner or later everybody gets a 2nd chance or a win for the 1st time👍👍😃😃

When he coached Croatia he won nothing, but then coaching Serbia he achieved great results (2nd WC); he had the intuition that Turkey could be even more competitive with Vargas and win, in fact it has already won VNL & EC in a couple of months... In this latest EC, besides Mazzanti, 7 teams had italian coaches (Santarelli, Guidetti, Lavarini, Micelli, Bonitta, Chiappini and Orefice)

I think the choice that has been made during VNL to put Karakurt as an outside hitter was a really good one, and this team seems to have a really good atmosphere between players.

Oh my God what a year for the coach Santanelli!! He is only mid 30s, and Turkey for the first time won VNL World Championship and European Championship in his first year as a coach! Turkey always got close but ended up being 2nd or third in these tournaments and Santanelli made it! He is very inspiring. What a strange encounter, Guidetti ex-Turkey coach on the Serbia side and Santanelli ex-Serbia coach on the Turkish side, and their being both Italian too! Quite funny coincidence it was! :) Made the match even more interesting. Both teams were amazing, it was hard to know how it will end till the very end, they both had chances as teams! They would score and score but the other side would catch up quickly/ There were quite a few moments we sat at the edge of the chair, both sides passing ball to each other for a long time with us waiting who will drop it finally.

¿Había alguna duda de que Vargas es una opuesto TOP? No creo. En mi opinión, la cuba nacionalizada turca se sitúa al mismo nivel que Egonu, Boskovic, Haak y Zhu. Ojala esta última pueda recuperarse completamente de su lesión de muñeca. Si es así, el torneo de voleibol femenino en París puede ser catalogado como el mejor de la historia reciente de este maravilloso deporte.
Don't forget Zhu... with China without star players like Turkiye, Serbia, Italy, Brazil, USA, but Zhu has brought China to achieve everything in the main tournament.
Even though China is currently on the decline, they are still a strong team with Zhu and Li Ying Ying.
There is clearly a middle player difference. Eda and Zehra were very good. Zehra played with 100%. Türkiye is almost a complete team. Vargas Zehra Eda Ebrar Hande Gizem Elif Cansu all of them are really successful. Boskovic and Vargas are two elite setter crosses. However, Türkiye has an advantage in the remaining positions.

Also, everybody knows that one player is not enough to be the champion. Zehra played with %100, all of them were unbelievably good and kept their cool and in the end, they got the gold medal they deserved. This is the only team that faced the strongest teams of the tournament. This win was not deserved by any team more than Türkiye. Sooooo proud of our girls and I cannot wait to see comments when they win the Olympic gold medal.

Vargas made our team complete. She is another level. Our liberos (Gizem&Simge) and blockers (Eda&Zehra) considered one of the bests in the world. Ebrar changed her position and still did an amazing job. Many volleyball players said that is very hard thing to do and needs time to adapt. (for example stysiak said it) Our hitter did some mistakes but her defence was awesome. She keep the ball in the game in very critical moments. Our setters completed each other. Elif Şahin is still young, her potantial being one of the bests is huge.

Want to clarify one thing: Ebrar has been under attack by Islamist Turks for months. It was one of the greatest match ever in volleyball history. I'm happy we did but also i am very greatful that volleyball is getting popular year by year. Last night all of the people in Turkey watched this match in their homes and streets. I'm really proud of our girls. Congrats!

I'm so proud of my country. They really deserve this championship. In a week first, they beat Poland, then Italy, and now Serbia. Everyone fought until their last blood. Finally we won against Serbia with a Boskovic. On the other hand I'm sad about 3rd place. Because Italy played really well against Turkey. I couldn't believe it when I heard about their lost against Netherlands. FİNALLY WE HAVE A GOLD MEDAL IN EUROPEAN VOLLEYBALL.

Even though I'm italian and quite disappointed with Italy's poor results, I'd like to congratulate with both teams, particularly with Turkey: with a new coach and player, in a few months Turkey has already won 2 tournaments (VNL and EC). If Serbia had won instead, it would have become a "black beast" also for Turkey (as it has been for Italy till recent years) and if Italy has/d Egonu and Serbia Boskovic, now Turkey has Vargas and I think it's going to have further great results also for the future, it's no longer a strong team which eventually remains with empty hands, all in all there are always good opportunities for everyone and sooner or later everybody gets a 2nd chance or a win for the 1st time👍👍😃😃

@@tulaycan6497I've no doubts Santarelli is now loved and adored very much also in Turkey as in Conegliano! When he coached Croatia he won nothing, but then coaching Serbia he achieved great results (2nd WC); he had the intuition that Turkey could be even more competitive with Vargas and win, in fact it has already won VNL & EC in a couple of months... In this latest EC, besides Mazzanti, 7 teams had italian coaches (Santarelli, Guidetti, Lavarini, Micelli, Bonitta, Chiappini and Orefice)
