Woo shout out to the Smithsonian National Zoo! I live 10 minutes walk away, it's completely free, totally beautiful and I can often hear the tigers roaring from my kitchen window!
@Addison Smith(Student) I mean, it's not roaring like a lion but yes, it's a tiger roaring. They do a range of vocalisations. There's two in separate neighbouring enclosures who communicate a lot.
Ahhh, I work at a zoo that has these guys. Playful little buggers. As far as designing an exhibit that keepers can get through, its definitely considered! But there are also exhibits I need to clean where I'm climbing over logs and bending in weird positions to scrub down poop. An actual human is a lot more flexible than an AI haha. But I also appreciate when an exhibit is designed with keepers' ability to navigate in mind, because there's only so much my back can bend on a regular basis lol. Great design! I really liked the tiered layout!
They can’t escape either. At least not on purpose. But last winter it got very windy and the wind blew one of the red pandas out of the zoo. It was quickly found in a tree not to far away and brought back home.
I've volunteered in the Oregon Zoo, and a lot of time there are ladders and stairs hidden behind the exhibit to enable keepers to get to higher areas. Otherwise you just clamber up hills and on rocks to clean, lol.
Awwwwwe the sound they make is sooo CUTE! Btw love the habitat, nice to see a different kind of architecture. And the different height levels in the habitat really makes it complete.
It's incredible how you can make such a "small" area to still look that big! The level of detail is very nice too. And like all your builds, it's all looking very natural. Great job as always! :)
I have a cool idea, you should make a North American ghost town style exhibit! I think it would be really cool for things like the American Bison, Pronghorn or even the Timber Wolf. I think it would be cool to see something like a ghost town themed area in Planet zoo! Also I love this exhibit, it’s beautiful!
I tend to do rough terrain work (plus any terrain details/water around where the barrier will be), then barrier, then fine tune the terrain and water, then add enrichment items, shelter, and so on, then do trees and centrepiece foliage, then rock work, then ground-level or additional foliage plus any other detailing.
Hey Geekism, first of your videos I've watched but this is incredible. A lot of time but I think it shows in the final product. Will definitely be watching some more of your stuff. :o)
This is INCREDIBLE! I’m amazed at the level of detail, imagination and also accuracy. I came here to see what you’re about after hearing PaulsLey talk about you. You have a new sub from me 😁 can’t wait to see what else you’re capable of
If you guys are looking for inspiration I suggest you search up Adelaide Zoo, I have been there a million times and it is amazing. We have pandas, red pandas, tree kangaroos, lions, tigers, tamarins, baboons and many other rare animals.
I think the habitat was great but I have one complain or something I would've done different. The habitat was a little large for the size of the animal, that would've not been a problem if there was a second viewing area. Don't get me wrong it turned out great and I love your content. Since I know you like these small "farty" animals I recommend you too look up the Red River hog exhibit at Hagenbeck Tierpark in Germany. It is great and one of my favourite zoo habitats.
the town i live in has a kind of zoo where we have diffrent birdsd but also monkeys and red panda's you can walk through a lot of exhibits and they give bird shows, there is also a hall where you can go to where it is almost completely dark which is where the night time animals live.
My order of building: Barrier, Terrain + Paint, Rockwork/Shelters, Foliage, Animal Management (food water etc), Barrier decoration and viewing areas, staff buildings. 😁
The real reason it's so good is cos you had to beat Nicola's habitat isn't it 😉😉 Just kidding, really good as always though. I agree that this is one the of the best PlanZoo things you've built.
Looking great. Maybe tou want to look at the zoo by Beam, he's a german youtuber and the Asian part of his zoo just got done and looks great. Very inspiring I believe. Love your channel! Looking forward to 2020 content
hey geekism. I'm having trouble with my franchise mode zoo because I can't make any money. I started off slow and I have a few animals now, but my staff cost always seems to outway the money im making. I have minimum staff and my engineers always have a high work load. is there anything you think im doing wrong? im following what the tutorials all say but nothing seems to work.
Can someone help me? I am trying to name work zones, and use custom signs, and all that, but it won't ever save what I type in. The only thing that saves is when I rename animals. Am I doing something wrong?? lol
From my experience, specifically with being a keeper for a Red Panda exhibit in an unnamed zoo in the Czech Republic.. the exhibit was really freaking dangerous to move in for us. Like slipping on a rock and breaking your neck dangerous because it was all steep rock and nettles and just really s***ty overall even though it looked nice from the visitor path. And the Red Panda male there is really mean :/
why not just over shoot habitat size so you have zero worries your building will make the habitat too small? If they need 230 just start at 400 or even more
Woo shout out to the Smithsonian National Zoo! I live 10 minutes walk away, it's completely free, totally beautiful and I can often hear the tigers roaring from my kitchen window!
Although I've never actually seen any Red Pandas in their habitat. I think they're shy.
@Addison Smith(Student) I mean, it's not roaring like a lion but yes, it's a tiger roaring. They do a range of vocalisations. There's two in separate neighbouring enclosures who communicate a lot.
There is a Red Panda At the Wellington Zoo right next to where I live in New Zealand

Damn this is gorgeous - the way you've been able to layer elements together into a seamless habitat...yeah...take a lap - you've earned it!
In my local zoo the red pandas are free to roam the entire entrance area. There is no fence and they just move around in the trees over the path.
sounds like heaven
Dude I would take one and run off
Unfortunately the pandas are still way out of reach for the guests as they keep to trees above the path.
They can’t escape either. At least not on purpose. But last winter it got very windy and the wind blew one of the red pandas out of the zoo. It was quickly found in a tree not to far away and brought back home.
@@nanaweile4594 are you talking about the norfolk zoo? i used to live there and same thing happened! haha
Absolutely loved your little rant about eco resort goers 😂 I snorted coffee through my nose. “Pull up some weed and feel good” 😂
I've volunteered in the Oregon Zoo, and a lot of time there are ladders and stairs hidden behind the exhibit to enable keepers to get to higher areas. Otherwise you just clamber up hills and on rocks to clean, lol.
Yeah I guessed as much! Unfortunately in the game it has to be clear to walk :)
@@Geekism, i live around central america and this exhibit looks a lot like a zoo i saw, the intro i thought it was an actual real life zoo!
Last time i checked, you had 77k subscribers. That was about 5 days ago, now you have 82k. Such work your creativity in Planet Zoo has done!
Love the tower, and I think the little "cabins" look great too. Awesome job!
This is amazing! Love these one off habitat builds. You should put all of them into one zoo 😃
Wow I love the level of detail with this build!
That looks AMAZING! I love the height change and how it interacts with the tower to make them seem taller together!
Jonti you’ve really outdone yourself with this one-off habitat!! Super unique and inspiring, I’m absolutely in love with this!
Awwwwwe the sound they make is sooo CUTE! Btw love the habitat, nice to see a different kind of architecture. And the different height levels in the habitat really makes it complete.
Wow! You've really outdone yourself on this one :D
Absolutely incredible, Geekism... Makes my Red Panda exhibit look like a chain-link fence in a barren wasteland.
This is definitely my favourite habitat you have made so far. It's incredible!!!
As our saviour Bob Ross once said, 'Every tree needs a friend' and that my friends is why foliage is so important
Someone get this man an Oscar
looks incredible jonti, i love the live portion at the end so we can get a good look
Absolutely gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing
Your wife has good taste, Crash Bandicoot rocks. Lovely habitat as always of course, wish I had your skill!
Red pandas are my favorite animal and this exhibit does them justice!
I was pretty happy with some of my recent habitats until I saw this masterpiece... bloody hell Jonti.
looks good! nice to see you work on what you struggle with and getting more levels and height variation
It's incredible how you can make such a "small" area to still look that big! The level of detail is very nice too. And like all your builds, it's all looking very natural. Great job as always! :)
Looks fantastic!!! Yes Pls on the workshop!!
Just started following this channel and everything Geekism makes is truly amazing! So happy I found this channel :)
I love all of your builds but this is just incredible 😍 Great work as always Jonti, this looks so realistic!
I haven't even seen the speed build yet, and I'm already in love
OMG, this is amazing. this is one of my favorite habitats you've ever built!
This is freaking incredible! So cool!
Your builds are such an inspiration!! I got Planet Zoo today and I'm excited to start building!
Absolutely stunning.

The Red Panda is the cutest thing ever.. Fact! 😊
So good even Vikkstar used it for his red pandas in today’s video

Just amazing. You never fail to surprise me every time. Can't wait for more, keep up the good work
Rock on, Mrs. Sparrow!

absolutely gorgeous!!!
Honestly, Jonts. 10/10
Absolutely amazing.. Once again! 👏👏😍
Absolutely love it!!
Wow! You're amazing!!!
Oooh, just in time for my lunch break!
I can see I'm going to have to redo my red panda habitat. ;) Shame on me for not checking out the National Zoo--it's practically in my backyard.
It looks awesome
Great video and amazing build! :D
Lovely habitat.

Greaaaaat work ! very nice sir.
the music at the start slaps hard tho
great video!

Amazing.
YESSS Red Pandas
Yay!
incredible
I know it’s a few episodes in, but it might be cool to just have a mismatch zoo of speed builds, would be cool to look back and see them all

Kan you make more nuna kanata episodes? Love them very much
New one tomorrow :)
Geekism Thanks man, you're the best

They have red pandas in Bristol zoo love ur vide jonti
We in Holland have a nature organisation called WNF and the mascot is a red panda
Very Nice
If I was a Red Panda this is where I'd want to live
Grate job
How long does it take you to build each exhibit from start to finish?
The real reason it's so good is cos you had to beat Nicola's habitat isn't it 😉😉 Just kidding, really good as always though. I agree that this is one the of the best PlanZoo things you've built.
In planet coaster do the animals come with the game or is it a dlc

I’m not really an expert on Franchise tbh having only played it briefly myself!
SRayne yeah I had heaps. I ended up just giving up on that park and I just play sandbox now
I still don't get to what sound we are supposed to change the ambient speaker to... Asian Jungle?
Can someone help me? I am trying to name work zones, and use custom signs, and all that, but it won't ever save what I type in. The only thing that saves is when I rename animals. Am I doing something wrong?? lol
Thought this was a kilian video at first
You sound quite sarcastic about the build of your wife :)
I'd wish, I could at least get up to that level of detail and inspiration xD
Not at all! I was genuinely impressed!
Nobody:
Genuinely Nobody:
Me: Here to rob ideas and ended up subscribing
Rob away! :D
the amount of details.... i cant

Dont u think we need keeper travesable area too xD
Can you do a giraffe habitat
I just had to design a red panda exhibit for a university assignment (I study zoo management) and I wish I had just paid you to do it😂
#PimpMyHabitat is my favorite section
Thanks for the heart
why not just over shoot habitat size so you have zero worries your building will make the habitat too small? If they need 230 just start at 400 or even more
The red panda habitat in long leat was empty the last time I went and it made me sad lol
It surprising that RUclipsrs ain't getting copyright protection claims for the music in the videos
All my custom music is paid for. The Planet Zoo soundtrack is cleared for copyright on YT.
