Good morning! My grandmother’s mantra was “…even an old barn looks better with a fresh coat of paint…” So it’s a rare day that don’t at least apply some eye and brow makeup and tinted moisturizer. 66 years young and definitely makes me feel more energized! Lovely video. Thank you!!
Hi and welcome. Thanks so much for sharing your grandmother's mantra--it really made me chuckle. She was one wise woman! Yes, it's amazing how just a few swipes of makeup can boost our confidence and energy. And thanks for your kind words!
Hi Elise wonderful video. I thought I posted this yesterday but see it never went through. I agree for me eyebrows are key . I have salt and pepper hair so I feel eyebrows really bring my eyes out . Have a great day and blessed weekend my friend 🥰
I go to the boarding stable to ride or simply groom my horse almost daily. I usually wear tinted sunscreen, eyebrow gel, eyelid primer and shadow colors similar to your application in this video, under eye color corrector, a bit of eyeliner, and a lip balm with sunscreen. It's a quick task which looks pretty natural and helps me feel a bit more "polished." At 67, I'm an older rider, so this helps me feel more confident among my younger peers! Always appreciate your style, Elise!
Hi, Kim--How wonderful to have daily contact with your beautiful horse! My younger daughter (who's not so young!) just recently had her first expriences riding horses and she's smitten. I'm hoping she can find a place near where she lives to occasionally try it again. I love your approach to your makeup routine: quick and natural, but polished. And after many years of applying makeup to other women, I definitely agree that it boosts our confidence level. And sometimes applying makeup is just plain fun and therapeutic. Thanks so much for sharing your makeup routine.
Dear Heart, I was so happy you were posted. The first time I saw your face, I thought of the Mother of Christ. I always imagine her to have your fair porcelain skin and dark hair. You inspired me to get around and do as much as I can to help myself. I am going to pick up that Elf Eyeshadow Pallet as soon as I get well. It will be a treat I can look forward to. You are wonderful for me. I will continue to pray about your health and healing. ❤❤❤
Hi, Dot--I think you'll really like that Elf eyeshadow palette. It's so quick and easy and I think the colors really work for everyone. I hope and pray your healing is going well. You're in my thoughts and prayers every day. Blessings, dear friend.
Hi, Mary--Welcome! Yes, it's pretty amazing the difference a little eye makeup can make--and it really doesn't have to take that long to do! Have a wonderful weekend.
You’ve proven that it doesn’t have to take a long time to add a little life to our faces! It can be simple or complex, we get to choose. I use the Milani eye primer, sometimes I’ll just use an Elf shadow stick on my eyes, one and done! I always enjoy your videos and information! 🌹
Hi, Princessmich--You're so right--we get to choose. Sometimes it's fun just to "play" with eye makeup and colors a little longer--or to do what you mentioned--just grab a good eye shadow stick for a great one and done look. And thanks so much for your kind words. I really appreciate it.
I really like the WOW brow! Easy to apply, effective results. Wet n Wild has some great little eyeshadow pallets too. When I'm in a hurry and need a minimal makeup look I reach for my face palettes. Everything in one place. Physicians Formula face pallets are great for that purpose. I have several but their face pallets with just blush, highlighter and bronzer can make a natural easy complete look. Have a great weekend Elise!
Hi, Trudence--And Wow Brow is every bit as good--and far less expensive--than many similar products. And you're so right about face palettes. I haven't checked out the Physicians Formula face palettes, but I definitely will. Pretty much everything I've tried from that brand I've liked. Lovely to hear from you and hope you have a wonderful weekend as well.
I have the All Star and Butter Dream Team pallets and I love them for a polished fast look. For my eyes, I use the highlighter on the lids, bronzer in the crease, of course the rest of the products as intended, add mascara, brows and lipstick...done!
@@Trudence2 Hi, Trudence--Thanks so much for letting me know the specific Physicians Formula products you're using. Bronzer on the lids is such a wonderful, quick and easy look! I'm looking forward to trying these. All my best to you!
I have been trying applying makeup the easy French way lately. Fast and simple. I was watching the RUclips channel Mature Makeup Masterclass French makeup mature addition. Fun and easy especially for summer. So sophisticated!
Hi, Debbie--I'm so glad you found this video helpful and so appreciate your letting me know. Thank you! I usually have to combine several shades to get the color I want. In the videos I'm wearing two Wet and Wild Silk Finish Lipsticks: Light Berry Frost and Retro Pink. Over them I've applied a Wet and Wild lip gloss in the shade "Libra." There are links to these products in the description box if you're interested in checking them out. Best wishes.
Welcome, Antoinette! Thank you! I had a childhood friend named Antoinette and have never heard the name since. It's so lovely! This video was a bit challening to do with the time limit, but it was fun to see what can be done in such a short time that helps us look better.
Another great video. I need to practice my eye makeup. I have never been very good at it. That brow product looks super easy and quick to apply. Need to try it. I don’t wear makeup very often since I retired a couple of years ago.
Hi, Michelle--You are so darn nice. Thank you! And you put your finger on it--a little practice is all it takes. And hopefully it can be fun to do as well. Hope you have a really wonderful weekend, Michelle.
I love all your tips for us older women. Have you any tips for dealing with vertical lines over the upper lip? I find that I can't get a crisp line with a lipliner anymore. Thanks Elise.
Hi, Cindy--Welcome! Yes, those pesky little vertical lines can pose a challenge. It can help to put concealer around the edge of the mouth. Make sure to stretch out the mouth while doing this and really make sure the concealer goes into those lines.. That helps fill in the lines a bit and also helps prevent lipstick from migrating into those lines. If you happen to have an issue with lipstick mnigrating into those lines, L'Oreal's Age Perfect lip liners not only come in beautiful colors, but they have an ingredient that helps create a barrier to prevent lipstick from feathering. Hope this helps!
PLEASE suggestions for a very deep under eye, hollows, and very severe, hooded eyelids! I have watched so many videos, and nothing seems to work! I am 62 and I am an extremely good shape. I eat healthy I sleep excellent but I’m so tired of people asking me if I’m sick! I feel amazing! Now I want to look amazing.
Hi, Rhonda--Makeup can definitely help with under eye circles and darkness, but really the only thing that can really take care of under eye hollows is some kind of filler. However, I also have under eye hollows, and correcting the darkness with a peach or salmon toned corrector and one shade lighter than foundation dotted over it, can definitely make a big difference. I have very hooded eyes as well and there are definitely makeup techniques that can make a big difference with hooded eyes. Here are links to two videos I've done on these topics which I hope will help. Under eye area: ruclips.net/video/6870U6d-Chc/видео.html And hooded eyes: ruclips.net/video/uQzcWSk4ccc/видео.html
Awesome, Awesome video. Thank you. I use Natasha Denona Glam palette and follow her suggestions. It has helped me a lot with innrr, center, transition anfld outer corner. Love watching your videos. Do you have that palette. I have the Elf palette. Use it for quick looks. I'm more of a glam girl at 52. Understand what you mean about size of the the eyes
Hi, Sherry--How are you doing? I'm so glad you enjoyed today's video. It was a little nerve wracking to time it--and wish I'd taken another 30 seconds for the brows, but I feel so strongly that even just a little eye makeup can really make a big difference for most of us. And it doesn't have to take alot of time. I don't have ND's Glam palette, but have many others and absolutely love her formula and the color stories she creates. Love to hear that you're a glam girl! Have a wonderful weekend.
Great video, thank you. I have oily, hooded lids and am really struggling to find a product that I can use successfully so that my eye shadow does not crease - any tips, from anyone, would be welcomed
Hi, Carol--I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate your letting me know. Three of my favorite eye primers are Urban Decay's Eye Primer Potion in "Eden," Sigma's Beauty's Eyeshadow Primer Base in "Ignite" and the Rare Beauty Eye primer. All cover up discolation as well as prevent creasing and match light skin tones. Hope this helps.
