Im relatively new to Pokemon and surging sparks and this prismatic evolutions release has killed my excitement of card chasing. Cant get any products where i am! Its ridiculous how hard it is to even just find single packs of surging sparks, to date ive found 3! Pokemon card collecting is out of control!
prismatic pokemon center preorder was up for around 3 hours, gamestop preorders were open for a week, at least tomorrow you can get pokemon center at 7am pst, or go in person when gamestop opens and best buy.
Yo it's still hard to get stuff rn, but if you go for sets that aren't hyped at the moment like shrouded fable or stellar crown, you should be able to get stuff at a good deal online and they'll eventually go up because play rotation is happening. Also go for something like temporal forces for something that has more value and is going up rn
I called my local stores today just asking if they were putting stock out tomorrow and they told me they were stocking in a few minutes. Managed to grab an ETB and binder collection. I would’ve liked to get another ETB but I wanted the people behind me to get in on some too. Managed to pull an SIR Sylveon :)
I'm trying to put this in as many comment sections as possible, but if you pretend you're pulling from something like Paldean Fates, the Poke Balls more or less serve the same function as the baby shinies do, and of course, Master Balls are the replacement for the Illustration Rares. When you look at it like that... pull rates are pretty on par for English sets, imo. I've opened one ETB (so far, others are coming lol), and I got 3 Poke Balls, 1 Master Ball, an ace spec, two holo energies (which I consider hits seeing as I do genuinely want them), an ex hit, and the Palafin SIR. But if we reframe that to a funky mix of Paldean Fates and Shrouded Fable (to account for ace specs and holo energies)... I got 3 baby shinies, 1 IR, an ace spec, two holo energies, an ex hit, and the SIR. Feels REALLY solid when you think of it that way, I think.
I’m glad they are printing more but it’s so disappointing how things have gone. Me and my friend were so excited to rip this set and it’s just so bonkers. I’m a teacher, I can’t afford these crazy prices! Just have to cross my fingers and hope to find some at MSRP eventually. 😢

I was out in the trenchs hunting ETBs this morning. I was struggling, and it's cold here. I finally went to my LGS. He told me Monday that i could get 2 ETBs max for $100. He ended up selling me: 2 ETBs for $99.99 1 Binder Collection for $64.99 2 Poster Collection for $34.99 1 3 pack blister for $34.99 Nearly $400 burned up so quickly. I was second in line. There were 30 people behind me. I doubt they all got product. This is an absolute mess of a release.
The surprise box was , well, a surprise 😂🎉! It's not even being released until February 7th , in Canada at least! I ❤ the 'so the binder's pretty cool' casually chucks it into the pile of trash😂😅! Great video, good luck on the set, I'm predicting 9,331 pack for full master set without help! 😊
Got to open 10 packs this morning from my local card shop at a fair price and am very happy with my pulls. 2 masterballs (Lopunny and Eevee), SIR Pecharunt, 2 Exs, 1 full art, 2 ace specs and 3 pokeball reverses :) Lots of double bangers in this set. I just hope the reprint is huge because pretty much everywhere in my city sold out immediately.
I was second in line at GameStop this morning, showed up at 7am. By opening at 10am there were over 40 people in line. GameStop had 5 ETBs, 2 Binder Boxes, and 7 Poster boxes. They did two items per customer, no duplicates. So I got an ETB and a Binder box at MSRP. After watching streams, I am terrified to open them.
I opened my two PC ETBS and sold one stamped promo for $150 so got my money back. Then I pulled 7 poke balls, 3 double rares of the eevolutions, and two master balls including a Sylveon. I think the hit rates aren’t as bad as what has been shown plus the reprints I think will make the cards more affordable in the near future.

Well, at least i'll be getting all "Teck Sticker Collections" once each (i ordered 5 of each, but guess what: "allocations where lower than expected"). Gonna rip them and forget about the set until the dust settles a bit (if it does at all). It will be in set order according to the booklet and then go normal rarity, reverse holo, pokeball reverse, master reverse. I’ve got it all laid out already in the binder so I’ll show it off in sundays video when hopefully it isn’t so empty 😅
These cards are crazy expensive right away. If the Moonbreon from ES was only 200 bucks after it released and it was at my local card store, I almost got it but got a few other alt arts for 200 instead. Obviously I regret that now.

i dont think the prints are low i saw people have 400 etbs and some guy had like 600 its scalpers they should make it so you cant buy more then 2 in any store
I got really lucky and found 2 prismatic etbs and a binder in the wild. I told my son that the pull rates are garbage and we got a master ball and a sir in each etb! cornerstone mask ogerpon and raging bolt. Maybe there is hope for the pull rates 😬

Apparently there are full god packs. Saw a video of a guy opening one. Started with Eevee pokeball reverse holo then the SIRs of Eevee and the Eeveelutions. So crazy!

Dang literally every retail stores have been stocked and cleaned out from what I heard locally. Someone post on a local fb group that a walmart close to me have some PE behind customer service (post was up within 5 min). Within 10 min i got there it was all gone and saw some people grabbed all the CZ stuff too, goes to show not just PE is hot atm. Funny thing is i recognized a guy there also whom hunts everyday and know which store and time they stocked. Can't get anything if there are people like that, and alot of people assumed this set is gonna be like SF is kidding themselves. 😅
I do wish they'd come out and say somethings happened to the hits in this release batch cos it's REALLY bad haha. Not even like, yeah not as bad... It's like you have to be insanely lucky to even hit 1 random Pokemon SAR

The prerelease prices on eBay for eevee alt arts are absolutely hilarious. I know prerelease is always higher but still the prices are high. Im so happy that everything is so over the top and cartoonish. Im just gonna open what i am able to open and have fun. Zero expectations for pulls. No reason to get upset if the odds are so stacked against us.

The prerelease prices on eBay for eevee alt arts are absolutely hilarious. I know prerelease is always higher but still the prices are high. Im so happy that everything is so over the top and cartoonish. Im just gonna open what i am able to open and have fun. Zero expectations for pulls. No reason to get upset if the odds are so stacked against us.
