The fact red magic was able to fit all of that stuff in the center of the phone and not lose any structural integrity really shows how bad the one plus 10 is.. bravo redmagic

I sometime have doubt on his durability test as to force applied while bending both One plus and this device. P. S i am neutral person and not a fan of either of the device.
It’s got holes on both sides for the fan vent and an antenna strip in the middle just below that! None of them were led to bending the phone! This is a pretty solid phone!

Would be interesting to have a sand/dust test for phones like these, to see what would happen if you were to accidentally drop your phone in the sand. Would the fans break? Clog up, die, etc.
Nice that it survived, though.
Great idea, as this is my number 1 concern with this phone and will dust pile up under the transparent version and look disgusting.

The intake grid should prevent sand going in which can't go out

@@nou8419 I don't see why it wouldn't be? Enable developer options -> enable USB debugging and OEM unlocking, then unlock the bootloader with ADB.
The harder part will be finding a supported ROM that's guaranteed to support all the phone's functions until the phone's been out for a while.

Before teardown or even before standard tests, it would be nice if Zack includes a standard performace tests and then rank phones based on results.
How did they manage to fit all those components in this small phone? Red magic is really doing some magic.

Pretty solid structure and symmetric design with stereo loudspeakers... I like it.
That Metal "spine" at the back clearly helps surviving the bend test
Nubia rarely makes headlines these days, but safe to say they are making good phones
Would be great to see a test of screen durability against impacts, not only against scratches.... Realistically all glass screens these days scratch the same way, so would good to find a new way to differentiate one glass from another
The problem is you can't do identical impact tests...so you might end up with the same phone either being alright or breaking just because of very minor differences

But the reality is there is plenty of phones that either lighten or cheapen up phones with plastic screens or lower grade glass. And there even has been diamond screens though rare they are untouched at 6
But i agree this test is basically to tell you if its GG5 or GG6 these days.
But to speak gor myself for a second these tests and where they scatch at, mostly tell me if the company is trying to save money.
If they tried to save money on the screen. Chances are they did on the CPU and internals too.
@@vstolpner youd have to remove the screen on each phone with a heat gun and put it under an evenly distributed hydraulic press.
But even then i dont know exactly what that will tell us besides "what point the glass shatters once heated up, removed, layed flat, pressed"
We KNOW the future of screens is artificially created Diamond screens. They already exist they just arent cost effective for something you replace every year or 2 atm.
But it also tells us when a phone company is skimping on quality like i said in my earlier comment
I've still got a sapphire screen, and I will not replace it lightly. This phone has my interest though.

I've never heard of a gaming phone until last week when I discovered your channel, but wow are they cool! Won't be buying one myself as I'm completely happy with my 21+ but these things are awesome! The clip on fan from a previous gaming phone video blew me away.
Would love to see a water test with this phone. Is the fan area / air channel itself sealed to help resist water intrusion or will water go right in and enter the phone through the vents?
Awesome that they're finally putting heartrate monitors back in phones! My Samsung Galaxy S3 had one integrated into the flash or something in the back of the phone. I used it with Samsung health and it got me more excited about running. Maybe it's all moot now that we have easy and relatively inexpensive access to smartwatches; but, still cool for extra security. (Can't cut off my thumb to sign in)
Security? Its just a heart rate and blood oxygenation sensor, nothing unique to you. My S10 also has it, it seems samsung has kept including them.
The only way to really protect your phone is a secure password or pin. Both faceid and fingerprint sensors are fairly easily bypassed by professionals.
No the Samsung s3 didn’t have one. The Samsung s5 was the first Samsung s which had an heart rate monitor

I have the RedMagic 6s Pro and it's by far and away the sturdiest phone I've ever own. The thing is built like a tank. It is heavy but I like the heavy feeling. I don't game. Like at all lol but still bought the phone because of the ridiculous specs on it. Honestly, probably the best phone I've purchased.

What service are you using in USA. I'm on TMobile and not sure if I want to get it based on bands. Heard sometimes it hit and miss for good service

Nice video, as always! Just a suggestion: why don't you test if the phone is waterproof, when it has the "little protection" (like the rubber ring at the Sim card tray), but don't have a certificate like IP68? Would be good both to discover, and to see where the damage occours during the teardown.

If only they would've put stereo FRONT FACING speakers on this device I would've bought it in a heart beat! I absolutely can not own any phone without stereo front facing speakers. I absolutely despise bottom firing speakers.

If you intended to took picture on the camera of gaming phone, i suggest another phone
Camera on gaming phone is only add on so you could snap your homeworks or unusual moments, lol not for take a veeery nice picture out of em

Would love to see a durability test for the new Moto offerings. At their budget price points , to also pass durability would be a big win.
It can still be water resistant. If the duct runs on the outside and touches the heat sink for the processor, there is no need for actual air (or water) to come near the electronics. Whether the fan shaft can be driven non permeably is another topic.
Hey Jerry, nice durability test on the red magic! However, its worth noting that the samsung galaxy S5 was equipped with a similar tec, that allowed users to measure heart rate just like a bp monitor. FYI. Im sure there are other phones with similar tec.

I have a red magic 6+ ghost I love it only thing I wish I did before was to do the mesh cover on the fan... And the software is not the best but still good and camera was ok... But not the best... Especially the front cam and night mode...
