Can you compare the speaker quality with and without the foam balls? Would love to see how much of a difference it makes
Yessss 🔥🔥🔥
Yeeeeeees !!!!!
Yeeeeesssss🔥🔥🔥
I want to get a bag of these to put in my own speaker projects lol
@@maemilev my phone is usually on less than half except for quiet content. Quality over quantity FTW (for the win) lol
Just commenting to second your recommendation of Project Hail Mary… it’s definitely a winner. 😂
Suspicious that we both like the same book....
@@JerryRigEverything kinda sus..
I got to be honest, this was one of the most destructive teardowns I have seen so far from Zack 😀
ive never seen him be so aggressive :)
This is exactly the comment I was thinking and looking for😄
@Instagram User Alright buddy, sure thing.
I'm quite impressed by the internals tbh, I wasn't expecting it from Oppo 😊
and he doin it while the phone is still alive, what a savage, atleast he kill it off first so the phone doesnt suffer from that kind of torture.
Incredible that the outer parts of the hinge are actively being moved linearly when folding it
@Instagram User ok my man
@Instagram User what's worse that insult or the fact your channel says f off self promoters?
@Instagram User You literally have no videos... Reported for spam btw
@Instagram User okay man, reported you for harassment
@@MultiSnake21 I reported him for hate speech and bullying. But YT won't do anything, even if 100 people report him.
For those who can't snap, no problem 1:44! Just buy yourself a folding phone!
@Instagram User shush
@Instagram User bruh
@Instagram User what?
It's safe to assume that repairability is going to be a nightmare for these folding phones.
its like saying repairing a screen is a nightmare, Its almost not repairable so you would just change it and it wouldn't be that hard. I'm guessing same will happen with folding phones, just change the broken part don't fix it
@@spyro9979 but even changing it seems to be tough. The packaging is so small, complex and reliant on adhesives.
Going to be? It clearly already is.
It does look that way., my guess is the most common response from the phone maker if something on the inside goes belly up will be “ you need a replacement handset” .
still repairable than apple product who use software to lock the hardware lol
Amazing engineering in this phone. Crazy amount of parts.
isn't that the case with every phone?
It's literally the same as a fold 3 except with less impressive tech
died in 1 fucking poke tho
@@vein8202
You clearly have never opened a phone before. That was normal any screen can die like that even Jerry wasn't surprised because pros don't use knifes to open screens and he knows it was his fault. This thing is the most fragile thing in a smartphone
@@propersod2390
I am pretty sure it's more impressive tech than the fold. It just lacks good software
Working auto collision repair I’ve become absolutely terrified of glass splinters/slivers or broken glass in general, but seeing you just tear through the back glass with your BARE HANDS!!! Idk if I’m more impressed with that or that you’ve somehow gone through life accommodating those giants balls of yours..
seriously I was watching this like how does he just live life knowing so many of those might have stayed around after cleanup!!!! terrifying lol
"For some reason I can't hear you counting" 🤣 This got me good
I remember a day you used to pull this apart and get them back together without much damage Zack lately looks like that's not going to happen anymore mate great vid !
7:00 *THE PUNS*
That hinge is amazing for sure! I mean, Samsung made 3 and got it close (they'll probably nail it on the 4th one). Oppo looked at it, said they're making one, and then tossed it on the table for people to play with it. So far, every tech tuber that got this device is amazed at how smoothly this phone opens and closes. The breakdown you did shows they did some gear physics and material stress test to put out the best folding/hinged device.
Heck if it wasn't for the OS and how small it was, I'd be looking into getting one. But yeah, the engineering of this phone is jaw dropping!
He tore the display open as if it was a late Christmas present.
😂😂😂
@@thomasmeijer6275 It's just a bot coded in some dude's parent's basement. Don't give it attention.
Lots of wincing in this teardown… brutal and destructive… so while the nicely branded Oppo battery seems easy to remove, nobody is ever going to make it that far at home without a lot of tears and regret.
It would be nice to see you test the hardness of the flexible glass layer in future teardowns, so we could see what it can sustain compared to both gorilla glass and the plastic layers, putting durability-related marketing to the test
He did that on the…. Durability test tho
@@reesespeanutbuttercups5548 He peeled the plastic layer that covered the glass layer in this teardown, you misunderstood what I was asking. He tested the gorilla glass on the outside screen and "back" of the phone but not the folding glass.
@pc That's still a form of durability testing, seeing how brittle it might be and if that's the reason it's still covered by plastic
As the glass layer is not exposed to the outside, the hardness is pretty irrelevant (at least in my opinion). It looks like the plastic layers get damaged first by sharp objects so it doesn't matter if the glass layer itself is stronger or weaker. And it would be pretty hard to test. He'd have to remove every layer on top of the glass without damaging the layers beneath it to be able to do his scratch hardness test, which sounds impossible to me. But if he could get his hands on the glass layer only, a durability test on that could be interesting.
@@waltundres9630 I personally find foldable phones to be too fragile as they are now, with practically anything leaving a mark on the folding screen, durability tests on the glass would keep track of improvements until we potentially see folding glass as the top layer, but that still assumes it has any relevance right now, hence asking for it to be tested.
one of the most satisfying teardowns I have seen in years. Thanks Jerry! and Oppo as well.
Zack: Let's see if we can find all 136 components.
Oppo Find N: *chuckles* I'm in danger.
Jerry: Let's count all those 136 components.
Also Jerry: It does look like OPPO is telling the truth so I won't count those parts anymore.
OPPO: Boy we're off the hook. Good thing he didn't continue or he would have discovered that there was only 135 component on that hinge.
WTAF
Zack: pokes screen
Screen: dies
Zack to phone: SO YOU HAVE CHOSEN DEATH?
The engineering on the hinge is really impressive!
We can all agree that that Jerry never fails to entertain us
@Instagram User the amount of videos you have uploaded is is high as your damn iq and it shows
Zack
@@JakobSins yup 😂, no video
@@Watchyn_Yarwood no
Putting a piece of packing tape on the back will improve the suction. I use this trick when repairing screens or back glass of phones. This would help with the textured back.
Zack: " sees the complex mechanism of the hing"

Thank you for the intersting tear-down, Zack!
6:35 ah hmm that's what she said
The art of engineering is just on another level 😍😍
That metal mesh was pretty cool. Seemed very hard to pull apart
@Instagram User report for spam
OPPO: Haha Im dead, no point continuing teardown
Zack: RIP AND TEAR BABY
This was good free marketing for Oppo. Well built phone! Wish it wasn't so expensive but I can see now why. It's a technical marvel!
The cooler part is your analysis and review, which enables users to properly assess the product that they want to buy.
I one: want a Z Flip 3 because it's a flip phone and flip phones are cool, and two: want a Teardown skin for my s21 FE. Love your vids, Jerry!
This should be the ASMR video, I enjoyed listening to the cracks, breaks, and stretches
3:32 It looks like spider man getting out of venom
Binod
"Minor subdermal incursions" - between that and the impressively well-focused closeup of breaking the thin glass layer, it looks like he's testing the durability of his fingertips as much as the phone, lol.
I think the side effect of folding phone development could be a revolution in furniture industry.
"Let's start with the screws, ready, count with me now 1, 2, 3... for some reason I can't hear you counting" had me rolling, nice one!
Imagine if you could take tech like that back in time to the late 70's/early 80's! It looks amazing today, back then you'd say it was impossible!!!!
You are killing me!! I used to love your tear down videos and then you started you Humvee videos and now all I look forward to is those videos. I check your channel every day! After your done with the Humvee then I’ll enjoy your tear down videos again lol.
It's just a shame something so advanced is so hard to disassemble and repair. I get that it comes with the territory, but we're entering an even worse era of repairability with folding phones...
I wanna agree. I really do but this design was because of what we accepted in past
Kids and people who don't think through
People like us are the reason why this future is permanent
So the era isn't shame
It's just what we made 🙂
Well.. unfortunately sometimes you can't have both. I mean look at the fitment of the parts and everything, you need extremely specialized equipment to even attempt to take this phone apart and put it back together without being able to tell it's been opened.
Not that I’m against 3rd party repairs but if you’re going to pay $1000+ why wouldn’t you get it fixed properly by professionals that guarantee it will be fixed? And yeah I know it’s expensive that way but if you’re going to buy a phone like that then you probably wouldn’t mind doing that. I’d definitely understand if it was second hand or if it was given to you by someone else but still
One thing they could to is make as many things accessible from the back, replace the glass with some form of plastic to reduce the chance of cracking (or don't) and there you go. If they make the ports/speakers/batteries/other stuff that usually breaks easy to reach, that wouldn't be so bad. I don't think many repair shops would even attempt a folding screen replacement
@@peppyrobo7049 most of the companies don't even repair them.
*coughs while taking a bite from an apple*
i just came across your videos.. thumbs up mate love the tear downs and the details .. def gonna be my go to channel
Will there be a teardown skin for this? The metal mesh thing definitely looks really interesting
Probably not it's a China exclusive phone so it's fairly spendy and complicated to get your hands on one
I can really appreciate the time and effort to do this
Amazing how far this technology has come and waiting for more yet to come.
isnt hard when china just copies eveeryone

Project Hail Mary is fascinating! Looking forward to the movie!
This phone is more water resistant than any other phone I swear. So much bloody rubber inside that thing
We missed your teardown videos Jerry 🤩
It hurts to see you tear off the inner display, but awesome to see the inside :D
i really enjoy teardown videos, my favorite things to watch.
The blue and red rubber is a really neat contrast! Hope more phone manufactures follow suit,
Why.. it's inside the device out of view.
@@marcdxn87 yeah exactly, who cares what color the rubber bits inside the phone are, especially if you’ll never see them? what a weird comment
@@ARSZLB Jerry rigs everything's dbrand skin...
3:51 - Calling BS on that claim. Some glass layer underneath doesn't do a thing for feel of the screen. You aren't touching it. You're touching the top plastic layer, so all you feel is cheap plastic screen protector (which always feels nasty). Sounds like Oppo should try touching grass.
Want to see mi 11 ultra teardown.. What is actually sensor size inside
I'm so glad I bought one of you knives. I use it almost every day. Great design 👌
Am kind of disappointed that he did not damage the outer screen ..... The destruction in this video was satisfying

Wow, the hinge looks so futuristic, cool video Jerry!

Hi
Hi
Hi
Hi
In this video I noticed that Jerry is making the video just for the sponsor,
He did it quickly, I think he focus more on the E Hammer,
We also waiting for the final results from E Hammer
I have the original fold since release in the uk, it's lasted longer than my mates fold 2 because of the glass screen, he dropped it n it smashed and was unusable! My fold is still going strong! I work as a metal Fabricator have my phone in my pocket all the time n it attracts metal shavings! And I've dropped it 1000s of times.. take the case off n give it a wipe n it looks brand new, minus the hinge is a little lose now and a couple of small scratches on the screen, this phone has lasted me longer than any other I owned!
Imagine having 136 possible failure points in your hinge...
Breathes in german
Thats like saying that a bmw is less reliable then a volkswagen
that's one of the worst statements i've read on YT. When all the screws work in unison to keep the hinge together, you can't count them as "failure points" since they're packed nicely together and keep the hinge together simultaneously rather than having to work independently so it's virtually impossible to have a loose screw or broken since the hinge opens and closes equally on all sides on an ultra small tolerance level.
@@ES-xq7iu they are though....
A CPU has like trillions of transistors in it so there are trillions points of failure in the phone
This was one of the most unnerving teardowns I've seen from Zack. I couldn't finish the video because of the anxiety.
Couldn't you just do a quick water dip test for each phone before the bend test? Would be interesting, specially with these not rated for water but still has some protection within.
"For some reason I don't hear you counting" Well your hearing is impeccable
You know who DOESN'T sponsor your videos?
LOTION! Straight up man hands. Cracks so deep you make the Mariana Trench blush.
I liked the video when you showed that mesh layer, now I wanna like it again for "Glass is glass and glass breaks." 🤣
That hinge is a work of art 🎨
Wow that hinge is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a while, its gotta be difficult to manufacture but engineering art is nice to look at
The cnc behind the main camera module is just perfect to watch
when jerry was ripping the screen off, it felt like he is ripping my heart !
WHAT IS THAT VOICE ON 10:58? JERRY AMAZING VIDEOS! I LOVE EVERYTHING BUT YOUR ELECTRIC HUMMER IS THE BEST
This gotta be the harshest teardowns ever. a moment of silence for the oppo find N
The sound of cracking and destroy of parts is absolutely satisfying
I LOVE project hail mary. I've listened to it probably 6 or 7 times. Great sponsorship.

Wooow just woow! What a great manufacturing piece.
That hinge was pretty amazing
So it seems you film the durability test and teardown the same day judging by the dirt on the table? lol just guessing. Great video btw, love this channel!!
I really like how this phone looks , it looks more like Samsung's only commercials where they showed what a folding phone could look like
That went south really quick! Flip’n wrecked!
