After looking at this video I went out and bought one right away. I have a 2012 Toyota Sienna LE awd, every time I take it in to Toyota I do a diagnostic check to see if it has any issues. That check alone is at least $140 every time, add that up. Enough of that. Thank you.

Great information. I am thinking of buying this model. (I think now it's replaced with the NT530 model). Question Please For BMW E90 (2008 335XI): Can this scanner read and check that the alternator is working properly? My battery is not charging all the way and trying to determine if the alternator (or some other component) is not working correctly. Thanks very much. Phil NYC Area
What you really need is a load tester for that can test the battery and also your charging system. I will give a recommendation for that as well as it can pretty impressive option. As far as scan tool I would look at the Mucar cs4 ruclips.net/video/qKpf04NHBIQ/видео.html or the thinkcar plus which are pretty much the same scan tools. so why did the obd11 feature couldn't read the fault code , and when u did a quick scan it pull up a code, can this reader also look at like fuel injector firing
All very nice but all you did is read and clear codes. Most if not all scan tools do this. It would have been nice to see some service functions being performed. For example, Foxwell claims this unit does a BATTERY REGISTRATION. Not really, because according to the ads on Amazon "battery registration (for the same battery type and capacity with the original)" isn't really doing a battery registration if I cannot enter a battery with another capacity (Ah) or type (AGM vs standard lead acid). I am getting very leary about scan tools that do not do what they should be doing. I am in the hunt for yet another scan tool, but I am being damn careful with my next purchase.
Thanks for the feedback and yes there is a lot more I can show on the video. This tool is old now and let me know if you need a recommendation to something newer and more options within the same price.
Did you ever come across a red bar? I just updated my brand new 510 elite and while still connected to the PC, I clicked on Settings and it was blank. Went back to the main screen, tried Settings again- nothing. Went back again and instead of the main screen, I got a blank white screen with a growing red bar going down the screen. I unplugged it from the PC and replugged it in, and then was able to see the Settings for the first time. What was that? Thanks so much! Also my main screen layout is 3 icons across instead of 4. UPDATE: LOL That red bar was the "DISPLAY TEST". I must have accidentally selected it, even though the screen was blank. Nevermind. Thanks anyway.
