The headline is misleading while saying the truth. The headline should read majors acquitted of 3rd degree assault & convicted of misdemeanor. What he was found guilty of was unintentional injury which is called 2nd degree assault not what the general population correlates with the term assault or what the story alleged against him for months now. The evidence clearly shows she was the aggressor in the cab and out of the cab and that she was fine enough to use her hand just fine. What hurt his image was the phone call and the text not related to this incident. I believe it’s more accurate to believe majors was innocent and was instead in a toxic relationship much more similar to the ending of “get out”. He was found guilty of the lesser offences. It was actually Jonathan Majors who called the police, so the situation is somewhat self inflicted on his part. It was probably ill-advised to take this all the way to court because an assault can range from an unwanted touch to something more physical. In all likelihood, the only way he could be found not guilty is if he never touched her at all and just walked away. A lesson there perhaps.

Sorry but this is very misleading. He was found guilty of wreckless assault on 2 which means there was no intent but accidentally injured her when putting her in the car to then run away. What he was found guilty of was unintentional injury which is called 2nd degree assault not what the general population correlates with the term assault or what the story alleged against him for months now. The evidence clearly shows she was the aggressor in the cab and out of the cab and that she was fine enough to use her hand just fine. What hurt his image was the phone call and the text not related to this incident. I believe it’s more accurate to believe majors was innocent and was instead in a toxic relationship much more similar to the ending of “get out”. I don’t trust the reasoning of other laymen given the title of jury.
