Be proud mate legend my grabdad passed now Sadly And he loved watching the darts back then he”ll of absolutely loved that final bacl then he loved it your dad legend made millions that day Bite fingers nail
Played a leg with him last night in his local.. i got to a finish... that was good enough for me.. absolute gentlemen and the locals in the pub made us very welcome... had a right laugh!!
I caught him on the tail end of his prime and he was the reason i picked up the game. Unfortunately there was nobody to plah agaibst so i flipped back to an avid viewer and hit the snooker table.
YES!!! I'm so glad you got Wolfie on. He's always been one of my favourites. Martin Adams is one of those players I really wish had gone over to the PDC. Great character and player. What could have been. 🎯👍
What a gentleman, I remember playing in the same team with him in Milton Keynes, Use to watch him In the Eastbourne Open year in year out. I am now 80 and still throwing darts at home. Nice to see him on the show.
This is the one I've been waiting for, bloody love Wolfie - him and Mardle together is magic! Remember watching him win his first world champs, edge of my seat, shouting at the TV. One of the all time greats for sure, and an absolute top bloke. Wolfie, Silverback, The Dazzler, Matchstick, The Viking - ah those were the days. Great interview - thanks very much. Love this channel, appreciate ya Mr. Mardle.
@@Club501WithWayneMardle Always do, would love to see Steve Beaton on here. Without doubt, the nicest throw in darts! Had the pleasure of seeing him play at Ally Pally a few years back.
Legend one of my favourite players ever. His enthusiasm for the game is infectious and people underrate how good Martin was around 2008-2013 ish. He still playing some good stuff at the modus series
Martin Adams. Dear Family Friend. Man you ain't aged a day. Never Forget when I hit a 180 in the Peterborough & District Monday Night League at the Age of 17 in front of you in Market Deeping.
Played wolfie in a exhibition match, really nice bloke,he was playing with all different weight darts, hitting pretty much everything with them, had a great chat aswell, just a genuine bloke
Cracking , loved it Wolfie is a true legend! About time you got One Dart on that would be a great festive watch, used to love the amarillo at Xmas when he used to kill everyone ..until Mr Taylor of course. Keep up the good work mr Mardle!
What an episode. Loved every minute of this one, my favourite episode at the moment. He's such a nice bloke and I think it's a bit unfair how you beat your old England captain 😂. Can't wait to see who else you get on here 👀. Keep up the good work @Club501 👍🏼🎯
Absolutely fantastic episode. Watched Wolfie for so many years and he honestly inspires me to keep trying. well done Mab you were throwing some tidy darts
Thank you for this segment Wayne! I started playing in 1985, the guys I played with here in Australia were Wayne and Russell as well as the others who in my books were all the same, one big family. To watch Martin and yourself talk took me back. I have Scoliosis but LOVE my darts at the age of 65.. Please tell Martin that his stance has helped me play without much pain will still. Thank you once again. Cheers from Australia! P.S. Im on Twitter and have posted my Shitzhu and Toy Poodle to your feed.
These have been my favorites, when you can tell there is some decent history with the guest. Perhaps the one thing lacking when non-dartists are on. Have stated repeatedly how much I love this show, but this is one of my favorite episodes yet! One small suggestion: Ever consider numbering the episodes in the title? I know it's in the description, so it's not a big deal at all.
What you should do Wayne is, you throw 9 darts in each episode to see if you can top your own score each time. Almost another 'handicap' if you like, especially if you're going to go up against current pros!
Adams is a bit of a "what if?" player for never going to the PDC. But full respect to him also for sticking to his guns, right or wrong. Could also maybe argue the BDO standars was a lot more on parity with the PDC in the early '00's. The match against Phil Nixon remains one of the greatest things I've ever watched on television.
Interesting when they talk about longevity. Look at MVG. His body is absolutely knackered. Got to be incredibly fit and selective if wanting a long career in the game.
@@robertlangmuir86From about 2007 to about 2011 he definitely was one of the best in the world. Almost certainly top 5 in the world, only Taylor was clearly better. Won the Lakeside 3 times in 5 years and the Masters 3 times in a row. Scott Waites won the Grand Slam in 2010 and at that time Martin Adams, not Scott Waites, was dominating in the BDO.
Martin talks about the poor money on the WDF, but the problem is.....if the money rises significantly there, the PDC will try to kill them off. The PDC wants and needs all the best players in the world to be holding PDC tour cards. The moment we see brilliant players happy to be earning money part-time on the WDF alongside their normal job, this will drive division in the sport, not unity
It's so funny how these guys don't consider themselves freaks just because they didn't hit a 180 in their first session. It reminds me of a guy who was a chess Grandmaster at 15 who didn't consider himself naturally good at chess because he was only thinking about the 500 people in the world above him.
Could’ve been a half decent PDC player and made a fortune. Instead he chose to stick with the blazers and play rubbish players for peanuts. His loyalty to the BDO cost him dearly. Such a shame.
Haven't watched yet but just have to say what a legend wolfie is. Can't knock that he's one of the best ever for longevity alone
I still get goosebumps hearing my dad mentioned sitill 17 years later :)
The most unbelievable final of all time. We'll probably never see the like again. Incredible bottle from Phil Nixon. Legend.
One of the most memorable games I have even seen. Fantastic character to turn it around and make a real game of it
Be proud mate legend my grabdad passed now Sadly And he loved watching the darts back then he”ll of absolutely loved that final bacl then he loved it your dad legend made millions that day Bite fingers nail
Although I was not a very good player, I met your dad on a couple of occasions. Great guy! Keep up the good memories
Your dad reached the Lakeside Final and done himself proud
So sorry for the loss of your father
The word legend gets used often, this man certainly fits the word especially in the world of darts, can't wait to watch this.
Met him at an exhibition earlier in the year. He's still got it. Such a lovely man and a real living legend.
Played a leg with him last night in his local.. i got to a finish... that was good enough for me.. absolute gentlemen and the locals in the pub made us very welcome... had a right laugh!!
Watching this man every year in his prime was amazing, uppa wolfy
I caught him on the tail end of his prime and he was the reason i picked up the game. Unfortunately there was nobody to plah agaibst so i flipped back to an avid viewer and hit the snooker table.

Keep throwing
One of the warmest darts characters ever, and impossible not to like. Great video.
This is definitely the best episode so far. Absolute legend Wolfie❤
Wolfie is a living legend, a fantastic bloke and a great ambassador for darts.
That was a fun episode. Maybe you get Lee Mack and/or Tim Vine on soon because both are huge darts fans. That would be something.
Good players too the both of them
This channel is the equivalent of Stephen Hendry’s cue tips. Brilliant content!
Spread the word, George!
We are waiting Phil in Club 501. That's amazing content thanks Mardle
My favourite player of all time and the grandad of darts
Martin Adams is a legend
This man is a true legend of darts shame he never moved to the pdc back in his day but a great servant to our beautiful sport 🐺 🎯🎯🎯

Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams is a great, down to earth chap! However I can’t wait to see ‘Barney’ show up!
I've always loved the way he speaks about darts. Such a great attitude
i can remember being so nervous on that day in 2007, i wanted it so badly for wolfie, proper decent chap and a great episode this!!!
Thanks for watching
One of the best walk on songs in darts
What a legend of the game Wolfie is 🐺
An absolute legend and what a player!
Absolute legend and gentleman
Played wolfie in a exhibition match, really nice bloke,he was playing with all different weight darts, hitting pretty much everything with them, had a great chat aswell, just a genuine bloke
He's different quality on the dartboard!
First memories of watching darts is seeing wolfie and whitlock, what a legend
The word Legend is branded about quite a lot but in this case Martin Wolfie Adams no one can argue you are an absolute LEGEND…Woooooooooooo
Cracking , loved it Wolfie is a true legend! About time you got One Dart on that would be a great festive watch, used to love the amarillo at Xmas when he used to kill everyone ..until Mr Taylor of course. Keep up the good work mr Mardle!

Class "Wolfie" Martin Adams ✅.
Still playing, still doing his stuff, Legend.
This was great, thanks Wayne 👍🎯🎯👍🃏

Legend of the game
Adams is a legend
2 mates down the boozer having a laugh 🎯 brilliant to see 2 legends reminiscing 👏
BEST ONE YET!
laughed throughout the entire show.
#brilliant
🙂
Fantastic!
PDC made the darts grow to a pro level but we still need the amateur and semi pro systems to grow and nurture talent. Every sport needs it.
What a great guy Martin is. You're not bad, too! It's a great video
I remember MvG going absolutely mental about Adams smiling on stage and not being serious 😂😂😂
Never watched the BDO im too young but I know who Wolfy is. Great episode
Judging by your name you was born in 93 no? I was born in 99 and I know all about the bdo no way are you too young haha
Love Martin 🎉
great episode wayne keep them coming
Love watching these would love to see one with phil taylor
Hi Wayne,
Could you make an episode about mastering nerves, building confidence, and overcoming inner struggles?
Awesome video
Always remember that game with Mason and the final against Phil Nixon 2 cracking games
A gentleman
What a player and what an even better man! loved this episode!
Gonna give bobby george a run for his money with the bling tho, class act!! 🎯
need to get Deta Hedman on this

Thanks for the feedback, glad you're enjoying the show
would love to see phil taylor on here
Should have asked Wolfie about that match with Tony Fleet!
Honestly it's sad the PDC boys were petrified to take on the Wolf in his lair at the Lakeside! Best ever!
It’s Wooooooolllfffyyyyyyyyyy! Oooooooooowwwwwww! 🐺

Haha boss episode loved it 😊
Need to get Ronnie O'sullivan on. Would be a great to see if hes as good as Mark willams
Or maybe Shaun Murphy could show us a 9 darter?😂
@mrrobb4242 😂😅🤣
where did you get that table? is there a full size clear image of it?
The Matthew Le Tissier of Darts.
Interesting when they talk about longevity. Look at MVG. His body is absolutely knackered. Got to be incredibly fit and selective if wanting a long career in the game.
Bring in co stompe next!
suggestion , can we please not ruin who wins the game at the end in the intro ?
Our mistake, we won't be doing that one again. Sorry, Jim!
The best
Wish u would do something on dartitus. Lost the love of the game because I cannot play the game anymore 80 average down to barely 15/20
love wolfie
50 years??? bloody hell
Adams in his prime (1998-2010 ish) was one of the best players in the world. Solid player.
Don't be silly. He is a nice guy, but at no point was he ever one of the best players in the world.

How was he not one of the best players in the world? He was a great player and a three time world champions.@@seanlinesteammvg4967

The BDO and WDF let their legends down
The likes of Martin Adams Martin Phillips Tony O Shea Darryl Fitton and Scott Waites
They let them all down
Adams called 41 when when he hit 22.
Where is waynes jumper from anyone any ideas?
Enjoyed this one, keep the dart players coming and less guests from other sports, it’s a dart show after all lol
Thanks for the feedback
Phill did draw blood when he stabbed himself! It was running down his leg x
Playing the best darts in the world in 2007?
What is Wayne on about. 😅
He really was being too kind to Adams wasn’t he 😂
Fish and meat club 😂😂😂
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Is that Wayne’s first 180 of the series? 😂
There have been plenty!
@ on camera? 😏
Read up on this last week. Where are the Saudis at!
Can you add captions for the Americans watching.
Martin is a great player, no doubt, but if he'd have played the PDC it wouldn't have happened
Get durrant on and lisa ashton

Proper guest, more of the same.
Wolfe is a legend…we know the reason why some of those boys didn’t go to the PDC
He just told you why. He was captain of England and happy.

I’ve met Martin twice and that’s all I’m saying
I think he realised himself that his level was just more suited for the spazzy bdo darts.
