Had a few goes on the Flux 5m - solid and stable power, fast, amazing upwind performance and feels great in the hands. All that while being nicely light and great in the waves using the surf handle. Matt was not impressed with the lack of rigidity for the surf handle but I saw another flux review saying it was designed to have a little give so your hand is not constantly being moved while flagging the wing - having a little give effectively absorbs some of the movement. I guess different folks are looking for different things.... For myself coming from the Wasp everything is massively better and I was very impressed overall.

Ozone is a quality brand. They are not churning out much marketing hype like most brands do. But their products are always solid.

@realmattnuzzo Love your reviews Matt. In this review and others, can you please let us know what board, mast, foil, and tail setup you use? Thanks.

Good idea. Will get this info on future reviews. I’m riding the Armstrong 50 L FG board, 795 Performance mast, 70 fuse, MA1000 and Surf 205 tail with blue shim.

@realmattnuzzo what are the earplugs that you use? I've found with winging, even in warmer temperatures of hawaii, the wind is really doing havock on my ears and hearing. What are some good ones you recommend where you can still hear adequately? Would love to see a video on your favorite ear plugs. Mahalos

JBL Spearfishing Hydro Seal. They don’t fully seal your ear but you can still hear ok and it keeps most water out.

Where do you see the differences between the Flux and Armstrong XPS? Love your reviews 👍

XPS is easier to handle, has better top end range, luffs out better. Flux has more power in your hands and more forward drive. Flux isn’t as balanced or rigid as the XPS.

If you could let me know how it compares to the duotone unit v3 (or v4)? Has the unit better low end? Looking for 6m2.
