    My favorite part is, after you get distracted watching something else, a man crawls out from under the pool, like a big bug!
    Good videography.
    I have sent this to a family member who has been talking about a pool. Maybe it will help him with decisions.

    Hello to all the Morgan Family, greetings from the UK
    I have been watching your videos for some time now and really enjoy them. I know The American dream for Melissa is to have a pool, but with all the trees you have there I think you would regret having an outdoor pool installed as you would be constantly be clearing it of leaves. My friend had a similar problem and decided to have what I can only describe as a conservatory put over it which had both doors and a roof which could open at will. Definitely stayed clean that way.
    Well good luck to all of you, you have a lovely home and it is so nice you want to share it so generously.
    Kindest Regards
    Quentin

    Great video Melissa . The only problem was that it was too short . Now I have to wait to see the rest of the video . A peak into the future Mike ??? Imagine Mike . The whole family relaxing and having fun in a pool . You could have a July 4th pool party . That is one big water truck . Smart in getting the water trucked in . Instant pool . It would take days and days to fill that pool with well water and it would be hard on the pump pumping that long . Could end up having to replace that pump which would probably cost more than buying the water . The pool insert didn't seem to be that heavy because the guys were able to adjust it with 2X4's . Nice pool color but I would have chosen a lighter blue . Those trees are going to be a pain in the butt . Hope the owner gets a long hand skimmer . LOL Looking forward to the next video.

    I had a friend who put in a smaller version of this, they installed it on a hill because of where their property was. Got to say I'm surprised they didn't have to conform the hole more to the shape of the pool. It must be more structurally sound than I was thinking. That much water would put a tremendous amount of outward pressure on the pool walls, not to mention downward force. I wonder if they ever use expanding foam under the shallow end where it gradually gets deeper? Enjoyed the video! Thanks!

There no where near the quality if a conventional inground. Plus the way there configuration is in order to haul it on truck. They are no where near the size of a normal inground. Depth wise. Cool, But why a deep end are you really going to install a diving board? The shallow part for kids is nice but most updates to pools is filling in the deep removing the never used board and having 4' and 5' levels with perimeter in pool seating ledge, deep enough for swimming laps and floating on inflatables. The big bonus is much less water to refill after the pool gets that 'chlorine' smell that comes from P in the pool, easier cleaning and less chemicals/filter maintenence.

      My neighbor, who is on a well, asked if he could fill his pool off my water supply, which was at the time county water. He paid my water bill for the 32,000 gallons it took to fill it, and he said it was considerably cheaper that way than trucking water in, even after factoring in the 300' of PVC pipe he temporarily installed to span the distance to his pool. I imagine filling the pool would be pretty hard on the well pump as well (no pun intended).

    • @comlbbeau
      @comlbbeau 5 лет назад +1

      @@flash1259 My neighbor is a contractor, so I'm sure the PVC found a home at some point. By the way, I subsequently decided to transition over to a well rather than the county water, so he's on his own at this point.

    I have to wonder also what happens where there are low spots in the excavation.. They did spend a fair amount of time leveling it up, but the cribbing they used seamed pretty small and I can not conceive how they got good support under the center of the pool.. As a GC, I have installed a good number of fiberglass bath tubs and even those needed spray foam under the centers to support them properly.

I know it's a big hole, so there's plenty of room where people aren't, but hether the operator could see to be sure of that from within the skid steer cab, and hoping the fill doesn't cause something to shift, would have had me on edge if I'd been watching this live.

Big mistake. ... big, big mistake... don't screw with the people who have the power and leverage. You have labored in the vineyards for months - years, now comes the time to reap the harvest of your work. You should get a call from a Sales Manager.... or more likely a Vice President of the fools who put you on hold sometime before Monday afternoon: .. "ah... we just had a cancellation and your installation came up"... Can we come next week? And Nobody here in RUclips is going to criticize you. Everyone knows the real world is about visibility, influence, recognition and Oh yeah... hard work. Nicely played Steve and Melissa for a incredibly facile use of power... You deserve it... Hope your pool is all you want it to be, and we will look forward to your grandchildren romping in it. And some of us who recognize the force of power, will silently applaud you for your brilliant use of that which you have earned through your diligent work.

    I was thinking they were going to dump in some soupy concrete to fill in all the gaps under the pool

      That was my concern as well. Never been a fan of the fiberglass installs, I much prefer an actual "shot" in place concrete liner. Maybe that's not an option up north because of frost heaving?
