Thank you ♥️ I think this is my favorite canvas yet. It reminds me a bit of Southern magnolia design if that makes sense. I just prepped 2 more canvases and I can’t wait to make more. These are so fun!!!
A Metre or Yard long Ruler you'll find are fairly common and inexpensive. You may find. 45 cm or an 18" ruler big enough to meet your needs. I use to use them both in drafting dressmaking patterns. Both are a good idea for most families to keep one or each in the house, except it pays to put them safely away to ensure they are always around when they are needed. My husband always borrows mine and rarely returns them. I find my hubby usually return them quiet dirty, unfortunately. Love your design as always, you ability of designing and then choosing you palette, is always spot on. Not always an easy task.
Lol.. Lyn I couldn’t agree more!! I’ve always kept a yard stick in a corner of my closet that I’ve not ever needed much. I went to get it and it’s gone! I’m eyeballing these kids with judgement 😂😂😂. As soon as I get a new one it’ll show up. Maybe I’ll go to my Dads shop and steal his. He passed away and would probably love to be apart of my art. Thank you ♥️ you’re so nice and super helpful.

Omg, that is amazing! SO precise on the design. Selfishly hope you do more large pieces, I'm not good with rocks and I love trying your designs. :-) I agree on the gloss vs matte. I, unfortunately used gloss on 2 of a 7 piece project I'm working on. It's too reflective on my pieces. I'm going to try putting matte over gloss and see what happens.
I prefer satin finishes, doesn’t dull my work like matte varnish and doesn’t make them super reflective like gloss. I use liquitex satin varnish. Just my opinion of course 😊
All the canvases I’ve done I’ve used mod podge matte…. I ran out so I tried this gloss. It’s so much better looking in person but I still like the matte better.

@@kriscecere3601 I used apple barrel and folk art for years. Mostly because that’s what was available near me and cheap. I made it work just fine. I never had to thicken any though. I will tell you… the other day I grabbed an old bottle of the apple barrel to use and it was literally like water. It was never this way before. I wonder if over time it didn’t liquify. I don’t know? I’ve been slowly but surely replacing with DecoArt. Now I’m told it gets even better with “heavy body paints.” It seems like a revolving door. I’m experimenting with the heavy body paints but I’m like you… gonna use what I got first. Good luck.. 🤞🏻

Can you tell what acrylic will thicken the paint? I use folk flirt and some are really thin!
Try Liquitex heavy gel. It’s like a thick creamy you can thicken up paint with. You might jump ship to DecoArt Americana. I did!!

@@kriscecere3601 I used apple barrel and folk art for years. Mostly because that’s what was available near me and cheap. I made it work just fine. I never had to thicken any though. I will tell you… the other day I grabbed an old bottle of the apple barrel to use and it was literally like water. It was never this way before. I wonder if over time it didn’t liquify. I don’t know? I’ve been slowly but surely replacing with DecoArt. Now I’m told it gets even better with “heavy body paints.” It seems like a revolving door. I’m experimenting with the heavy body paints but I’m like you… gonna use what I got first. Good luck.. 🤞🏻
