      Jyn Skywalker Well said. I love the old country, outlaw country, but not the biggest fan of the modern country music. That being said, Brad is indeed insanely talent. I also believe he's one of the few greatest guitar players alive.

      D Tab newer country takes more elements from pop and sounds completely different in many aspects than country from the past, which includes musicians like Hank Williams and Willie Nelson

      D Tab new country sounds like pop and rap almost ,lyrics about girls,trucks,tea,mud and tractors when old country is about heartbreak,life,etc. etc. big difference between. Merle Haggard and Sam Hunt but Brad is awesome

    As a country guitar player from West Virginia, Brad's home state, he is my idol along with buck Owens and Don Rich as well. All three of these players owned silver sparkle telecasters, an instrument I have dreamed of owning for years. I heard in early 2016 that Brad was working on his signature tele. I have been checking daily for new information on this guitar and yesterday, on my 22nd birthday, more information was finally released. I took it as a sign that the was meant to be, and after reading brads book, I would say he would too. I ordered this instrument today, and I couldn't be more excited. Thank you Brad for representing West Virginia, Country Music, and the Fender Telecaster the way you do.

    I've had this guitar for a few months now. If you like tele's, this is one great guitar. The magical "sum of the parts" seem to come into play. One thing is that it's SO light you can pick all night with this guitar. Sadly when people see "MIM" they immediately think it's of inferior quality. Not so...this is as good as, if not, better than the Fender US range.

    At 2:14: 'This isn't sensitive, this is a Telecaster. Its a cutting board with a neck'. One of the best descriptors of a workhorse musical instrument if ever there was one. Just as said cutting board is meant for creating a variety of culinary expressions, so too is the Fender Telecaster for various musical expressions. Well said Brad.

      Zane Price In my opinion, yes, the G-bender is a fundamental part of Brad's sound, but more than that it is the throaty '60s-style tele through Vox-voiced amp. The G-bender is tertiary.

    If you check out all of Brad Paisley's video's from 1997 to date, you'll never see this guitar. If Fender had wanted to market a road worn Brad Paisley signature guitar, they should have used his 1968 Fender Telecaster pink paisley or the 1952 re-issue tan Telecaster with a brown & gold pick guard. The majority of Telecaster type guitars Paisley has played have been made by Bill Crook a WV luthier.

    I'd also make you get down the most expensive and hardest to reach guitar you have, I'd make you ring it up and everything, and just when you think I'm going to fork over the money to pay for it, I'd yell at the top of my lungs "DONT TOUCH IT!" and put my cash in my pocket and walk out your music shop with a smile on my face.

      @@patl9404 You can in any music store. The idea served his story, but I have never been denied when I wanted to play an expensive guitar. On the other hand, there are a few you see up high where you need them to check you for zippers, metal buttons, etc, and hand it to you, and probably would keep an eye out, but that's common sense. Obviously you don't want an easy to grab item worth $25K walking out the door.
      If you get offended when they want to check you out before handing you their expensive merch, you're just being a drama queen, and a pain in their ass. Most stores don't pay by commission, and you aren't making some grand statement on what they lost out on if you walk away in a huff; nobody gives a shit.

    It's a really nice guitar, but it's too light, I thought it weighed as much as most telecaster, kinda disappointed me cuz I'm a huge Paisley fan And it feels like a cheap squire guitar all light and stuff, but the neck is interesting cuz it's not like a normal guitar necks, kinda felt weird but it sounds nice.... If I had extra cash to spend I'd purchase it haha but that's just my thoughts

    • @Gregorypeckory
      @Gregorypeckory 4 года назад +1

      Maybe it weighs the same as some Squire you checked out, but it doesn't follow that the quality isn't there. Maybe you owned a red strat that was crap too, but it doesn't mean the next one you see is crap too. Paisley knows his stuff, and the chambered body is more resonant and ergonomic than a regular Tele, and the hippest feature that makes his different, and better imo. There is no downside.

    • @charlesbolton8471

      The body isn’t chambered it is a lighter wood (paulownia) with a spruce top and back. It’s outside the norm of traditional Telecaster body wood and construction. However, it is a well made guitar that plays and sounds amazing.

      fendercuber As the owner of a MIM Special Edition Tele that was originally $1200, I'd say it's worth it. The body and neck are basically identically made between the Mexico and US factories, the only difference is in the electronics. In the higher end MIM models, they put the superior American pots and pickups in. For $1200, you're getting the exact same guitar as an American tele, just with the cheaper Mexican labor factor. With this particular model, you're even getting some really awesome custom pickups. I'd say it's worth it.

    • @tylergavin4757
      @tylergavin4757 7 лет назад +8

    Oh...and 'freight'. Apparently we're the only country in the world that pays that, because it seems to be everybody's excuse for higher prices.

    I want it. But I don't like the fact that it doesn't have a g bender and it just comes with a gig bag.... I only paid about 100 bucks more for my fender jim root signature model and it came with a hardshell case.... SO I guess I won't be buying the guitar. And I also don't get why he made a signature with fender when most of the guitars he plays are crook custom guitars....

      fez no that’s exactly what it is^^ considering the price of the custom shop Teles he uses regularly. Those are far north of 3000$, not to mention the many vintage instruments he uses... so a 1000$ Tele is definitely cheap for quite a high end instrument (which it is. Go check it out!)

    There's no such thing as an inexpensive Fender Telecaster. What a load of BS, mate. Don't treat people, guitar lovers and your fans as though they're stupid and have no idea. Show some respect and decorum please!

      You can get a fender player telecaster for $700 easily. That’s inexpensive. I don’t know what it is about guitar players that make them think their entitled to amazing instruments for two hay pennies and a pack of cigarettes. It’s so entitled. Try to play any other instrument and see how far you get with that attitude.

    You can tell he didnt get much input to Fender by his demeanor when talking about his signature model, his confidence goes way down on all those interviews about it. I woulda told Fender make it high quality or forget it. But the obstacle was making a signature model also affordable without sacrificing quality. The light weight affects tone as well and Brads is way too underweight. I instantly wanted to buy a Paisley, until i heard it! I was so disappointed, i think Brad is too. This legend deserves better representation. Even if it means its unaffordable, he is way better than Clapton so its not unreasonable to ask same price, but you must offer same quality. Problem is country signature guitars do not sell as well as rock signature ones.
