Man I had this idea of putting a L8T crank in a 5.3 when they announced it. I wonder how this would perform on a truck application with a Trucknorris cam, 706 heads and TBSS intake since its undersquare. It has an almost identical bore and stroke of a Buick 350. Glad to see this put into practice.
I have heard good things about the Trinity, however I already have this one and my turbo kit fits this one. maybe we'll do some dyno testing if we can find one to borrow and making a new charge pipe won't be a huge deal. That would be a great comparison!
If it had a stock intake before it could be in the camshaft as one is a long runner intake and one is a short. The valve events are completely different due to runner length. I'll try to put together a video on my last setup I just sold out of the car which was a high RPM 5.3 lot of interesting data there
@@NorthAvenueRacing But, the short runner should have made more horsepower and it lost 45. Idk. I just know what I saw and probably why BTR came out with the Trinity. Doesn't matter, I just bet you'll see a good gain putting a Trinity or something else on. I'll be running the Holley low ram with 16 injectors. Just have to get it all together, but have customer stuff that comes first.

Nice build
@@BoOgZ77 thanks
@@NorthAvenueRacinghey how did you make out with this engine? Did it make good power?
@@johnsteenland1292 yes, I need to do an update video. It made 1550 rwhp on E85 at 30 psi. Really happy with the results
Nice work!
Thanks, I appreciate thay
Equalizer intake! Man, I saw a chassis dyno where the car lost 45 whp, putting that intake on!
The BTR Trinity intake works a lot better.

@@NorthAvenueRacing Yeah, I'd like to see that. I think it lost 45 horse, from a stock LS3 intake.

Nice engine so far . Fo you run a 3spd 400 with powerglide type ratios ?? I was thinking with the added torque and a less gear this may be good .
I currently run a Power glide with 1.80 straight cut gears. I'd love to try a close ratio 400 but just not in the budget.
