Paris is my favourite ^^ I just love how everything in Frontierland is part of an entire Thunder Mesa storyline including Big Thunder Mountain and Phantom Manor :)
BTMR may not be the scariest or most thrilling coaster out there, but it's certainly the most memorable. The environment, the sounds, the smells (I can still smell the greased wood of the station), the changes in temperature, the changes in light. By far the most complete & immersive experience you'll ever have on a ride & one I can still vividly have memories of.
Yeah I'm from ft.lauderdale FL and had been to just Disney alone 29 times by the time I was 12. Thunder mountain was and still is my favorite Disney coaster, but I gotta say Tokyo's looks frickin awesome!!!
The best time to ride the one at Disneyland Paris is when it's getting dark. The view of Phantom Manor all creepy and lit up is simply stunning. Me and my sister, despite knowing where the camera is, are on the photo pointing in awe of how frontierland looks. A view like no other.
I'd say all version are great in they're own ways: CA: bc it's the oringinal; MK: it's a mirror version of the original and it's have effects; Paris: bc it's on an island and it also have a story that link the attraction to Phantom Manor (the only two attractions in this area); Tokyo: it's faster (I think) has beautiful background and effects!
Miel The Dark Fox I’ve been to Tokyo’s and the Paris’s one, and I have to admit that the Tokyo is a lot faster because (I went to Tokyo with a tour, so we have like 5 other families and 3 tour guides) and the tour guides said that in Tokyo, the faster the speed, the more the fun 😏
I've this memory... I'm not sure... Like 20 years ago when I first ride the Paris one I remember in one of the tunnels the effect of the ceiling rocks like falling off. Always remember this part like the best part... BUT in my last visit... not existing anymore... Any trace of it... Also in online videos... Maybe dreamed... Don't know
Terry R I was in Tokyo Disney land for a school trip last year and though I didn’t go on big thunder mountain ( I’m to scared) people who did tell me it was one of the best roller coasters they had ever been on
Mr Rocket Except it’s not very fast and has a terrible finish. Paris and Tokyo’s rides are bigger, faster and both of their finishes are actually intense.
@@NorCalCoasterMedia yes But All The Peoples Know that Magic Kingdom has No Competition Always Entertaining And Magical And Best Has Best Rides Better than Paris Tokyo And California
Always sit in the back if you want more thrill this was something I had to learn because my very first time riding big thunder in Disneyland me and my ex sat in the front and when we finished we were like “meh”. But then when I went again and sat in the very back we genuinely thought we were gonna die
@@FrankieWashburn i think it depends of the ride, for sure on big thunder mountain it's better on the back because you get to enjoy the full slide(?) but for example a ride like shambalaa in port aventura, both the end and the front gives you good, thrilling and different experiences, so yeah i really think it all depends
It's basic coaster physics. By the time the back car crests a hill the train has begun to pick up speed again, so you are basically yanked over the crest. The longer the train, the greater the effect. It makes even mild coasters feel faster and more thrilling.
If this don't go upside down, it'll be fun lol 😂 oh man that lean looks a bit scary though 😂 I'm a scardy cat when it comes to roller coasters of any kind.
I llove big thunder mountain.I have only been to paris, but ever since im allowed to ride that thing, i go in it every time im there. so worth the wait
Love this ride attraction Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Disneyland in California, Walt Disney World in Florida, USA 🇺🇸, Disneyland Paris, France 🇫🇷 and Tokyo Disneyland, Japan 🇯🇵 is amazing!
The Big Thunder Mountain in Paris is the best of the best. It's by far the longest and the most unique one! The longest part of the route of BTM in Paris is located on an island. The route begins in the station which is located on the "mainland". After passing a deep, dark tunnel under the lake, the train blows around the big rocks of the island. After passing a second tunnel, the train arrives the station again. My ranking: 1. Paris 2. Tokyo 3. Orlando 4. Anaheim (Sorry. But you ever will be the lovely original one! ;) )
I've been on the ones in California and Paris. My favourite Disney ride (after Space Mountain - which was coincidentally Hyperspace mountain in both parks when I went to them)
Paris is the most impressive and elaborate, but the original Disneyland one always really makes me feel like that little train has become possessed and is flying off at any point.
I kept missing the intro cards so I assumed it was still the one! Wow. I was stunned when it was night. Just how long is this? Worth the price of a one day pass! All four seem like a joy. Thank You so very much!
Paris one looks really great and more themed! But I also think Tokyo one has a bigger and steeper drop at the end with the dinosaur fossil so its scarier.
This is for everyone who uses the “Disneyland is the original” excuse for making Thunder Mountain the best... California’s is an exact mirrored layout to Disney World’s. Even though Cali’s opened first Disney World’s was designed first but ran into complications after the park experienced a high demand to add pirates of the Caribbean. Basically, thunder mountain was paused and Disneyland’s (a mirrored version) was built within that time frame so I never count Disneyland’s as unique or original.
Disneyland's is the best imo. Disneyworld gets points for that section where the tracks go along the water and the tracks roll. Paris is cool because of how it goes under the water out to the island. Tokyo's version seems really claustrophobic. Maybe name it Thunder Canyon instead of Thunder Mountain.
@@FrankieWashburn yea tokyos looks the best out of all of them but ive only ridden the florida one (the one that i grew up with) and the california one on my 2018 trip to CA
Tokyo's is by far the best! (I've never ridden Paris' though). It's the best because you have your own seat and lap bar rather than sharing it with the person next to you so you don't slide around much at all. It's also faster than Disneyland's and WDW's
Yeah, I have only ever been to Disney world in my life and I absolutely love Thunder but yes...seeing the other Thunders I realize WDW needs to give it a good face lift
Ian Bula same, i have only gone to disney world and i love big thunder mountain but seeing these are definitely better. most rides are better than the ones at disney world gotta say
Ok so Tokyo and Paris are the incredibly more unique ones. So to me they tie for the top, Paris cuz it has that cool drop and splash where you see Phantom Manor across the river as well as the underwater tunnels, and Tokyo cuz it has that cool tunnel section towards the end with the lit up flying bats followed by that incredible dinosaur fossil drop!! Second place is DL with its new tracks and dynamites on the final lift hill. WDW is third cuz well, even tho it is the only Thunder I have ever experienced (and I of course love it a lot lot lot) it looks quite simple next to the others and it could also use that nice dynamite effect added into that former earthquake scene that has long been not working anymore
The only one I've ridden on is the one at Disneyland California because I live not too far from Anaheim, but the orlando version looks like the most interesting
@@luuchoo93 just look at the third act and compare it to both american versions (the part after the third lift hill).
