Yo man if i can, i would come and watch for the job, but i make actually a professional driver training in Germany and drive there 2-3 years, if it makes fun i wanna change in few years to the USA driving the big one's. And i catcht in my dreams the idea to drive a open deck Turnpike double like fletdeck and step deck combo or a heavy haul like you just huge and heavy, you know ;)
Wish the pay was alot better then what they told me. They was willing to put me in a 7 axle setup but I can't justify the pay for the work that is required. Would like to come over. Stay safe T2C...
The 7/8 axle drivers are assessed by the Heavy Haul team. They usually run from $1400 per week and up. That is going to be based on employment history and experience. The five/six axle, open deck start at $0.56 cents and barring any problems goes to $0.57 cents after 90 days. Then after 6 months it goes to $0.58 cents. Then goes to annual review where the company looks at the miles and revenue. Employment history and experience can change those numbers also. Best way to look at it is that it can be on an individual basis in the right circumstances. The van division starts at $0.53 cents and goes to $0.54 cents after 90 days. It goes to $0.55 after 6 months, then to annual review. There can be situations those numbers can be different based on employment history and experience. Open deck, van division and 7/8 axles are subject to the annual safety and performance bonus. That is the basic plan but all individuals are assessed on a 1 on 1 basis... Hope that helps...
