if you add a ring connector on the wire and crimp that, then put a small bolt/nut through the hole on the clamp and ring connector, then crimp the clamp you will have a lot better connection and less likely to do the same thing again. the new ones I bought from Amazon were designed like this and much better.
How do you test which one is positive and negative? On mine (SE-1275A) one wire is black with white lettering but the other wire is black with a solid white stripe running down it. Not exactly the same as yours.
