Honestly wasn't expecting too much or to enjoy the build as much as I did but bleed pops are so nice to come back to after a decent time off and bleed damage this good was hard to come by even in the glory days so it ended up quite worth while exploring the bleed bow meta.

I league started Bleed Bow Glad this league and had a frickin blast. The big upgrades like Ryslatha were crazy cheap for being so off meta, and while having a much lower cap than the Ranger builds, it still has that zoomie, high clear feel with more tankiness than Deadeye. 9/10 league start, absolutely loved it. 🖤
This is what i felt 3 leagues a go. And now its time to play that build again :) but this time ill try scion version not the gladiator one.

I think many underperforming skills became usable and even good this league but most of them rely on interactions with charms, tinctures or the new ascendancies.
The problems are still present tho, assuming all of the above aren't going core and are temporary, borrowed power.
I think that's GGG's angle with leagues as of late - borrowed power. Nothing will go core but each league they will offer us temporary ways to make new builds or revive old ones. It's a smart move if you ask me.
@@truuuupR I don't know about that being a smart move but I agree that that's the way things are going since 3.18 or so.
I see it this way- they evidently know what isn't working, rather be it a mechanical issue or balance issue, because we can all see they are temporarily fixing it with borrowed power stuff each league and at least making it somewhat viable- for a league.
My issue with this approach is- they are still working on making it viable.
Investing devs resources on band aid instead of finding a proper solution.
Btw, the last time I checked standard was still a thing backed up by GGG- and they don't even have the borrowed power stuff to temporarily make things work
@@zoozooen the people that bother with standard usually have infinite wealth or items/modifiers and crafts not available to us anymore.
Other then that, I do agree with you that borrowed power is only a bandaid that should be fixed properly at some point
@@zoozooenI don't really care if they fix it permanently, or even necessarily think it needs a permanent fix. As long as each league does something interesting that allows us to have fun, then I'm good with it.
@@arthurdent9281 I tend to agree with you in general about the interesting things part but my point was- for people who enjoy melee skills and some other consistently-underperforming skills or mechanics, a proper solution is much better and sometimes necessary.

what an enjoyable build! bleed bow gladiator was my first build to take A4 Sirus, and it's crazy to see thius variation like this!
That ensnaring arrow tip at the end. I suddenly understand why none of the 3-pierce Lightning Arrow starters were using the "free" more damage from Ensnaring Arrow. I feel very silly
I'm running a glad in Gauntlet and I was pleasently surprised how well bleed bow is performing!!
What's funny is Bleed Bow has been pretty much in this same state for years now. People just write it off because it doesnt do billions of dps like most of the other meta builds. It's been a solid mapper for awhile and wil struggle against end game bosses, but it will always reliably perform.
Yeah, and I like both it and the same concept with ignite elementalist. The reason people write it off it that it's just worse than other builds, quite simple. Poor defences, clucky gameplay with no huge compensation, and so on and so forth.

Like mathil isnt even abusing charges , and affliction charge + frenzy gives a ridiculous amount of damage , makes snipe much more smooth too (with frenzy stacking you get attack speed after all)
the tincture also gives 30% more damage on bosses (can give up to 120% more if you dont care about flasks)
and you can get base chill and shock from TWWT and tincture , and with affliction charges giving a massive more multi to ailment effects you can easily get to high shock and chill on top of all the rest
so I dont think its fair to say it hasnt changed
@@voidroad It absolutely is a B tier build, it just doesnt scale well into late game. The base has been the same since the elder bow changes. Bleed is a slower, consistent mapping build, the only thing that has changed this patch is it has enough oomph to boss decently enough.
@@voidroad All builds are absurdly more powerfull this league, this is one of them, so even being a weak build it has enough power to push through. But if you compare to any popular build it does become very clear very fast why it's not as popular.
I'm no meta player, so I do choose to play thing like this, but I still know it's weaker and why.

I do like the usurper/ralekesh/affliction charge version of bleed bow right now. Get to use some uniques that havent gotten much love that are really cool and it does some really nice damage as well.

My snipe Raider is just finding its way in early maps with Dialla's, min rolled ashes, and level 3 enhance with 2-3 linked skills that are hit-based, but 2 function as DoTs. Reaching 11 stage Snipe with Galvanic Arrow, Lighting Arrow of Electrocution and Storm Rain of the Fence is super fun. Will likely do cold conversion so things are forced to "sit" on the fence.
So you have like 3 active skills linked with 3 support skills in your 6 link? I can't imagine that is a very efficient build but if you're having fun that's all that matters lol. Is manaforged arrows one of the links? I hope so lol

@@kylebusc3624 For each stage of Snipe, you can fire an additional linked skill. Have 4 skills linked but only reach stage 2? Only the first two skills will fire with ~160% more damage. Reach 4 stages? All 4 linked skills will fire with ~360% more damage. Reach 11 stages? All 4 with ~1060% more damage. A lot of bow skills have pretty good quality modifiers. . .Storm Rain of the Fence can easily reach a max # of hits of 20, at 170% AD/EoAD. . . provided you can freeze them with each pulse, you're looking at 4 seconds of an immobile target and 3400% damage with a 1060% more damage multiplier . . . plus 3 other skills. NO, this is not optimal by any stretch of the imagination. I'm sure that TS is better. . . but it's fun! :)
@@suthtech oh that's really cool, is that a relatively new thing for snipe? Maybe I just didn't read the skill gem last time I played it lol. Surely not the most optimal for dps but that's just a really cool build idea
@@kylebusc3624 The gem itself is fairly new. Snipe had existed previously only in a helm. I'm not sure if it worked exactly the same then. I was previously planning to run it supporting a single gem and scaling the quality of both skills. I believe the max quality with Awakened Enhance, Dialla's, and Ashes with 21/23 gems is 131%. 131% more Ignite damage and 12 stage Snipe on Burning Arrow, anyone? With multiple skills supported, you have more flexibility based on which skill you have linked first. Trash? 1 stage should do fine. Magic mobs? 2-3 should clear 'em. Rare? 4-5. Pain in the ass mob you can tank? Give it a full charge and go from there.
While pro streamers compete in the Gauntlet, Mathil is re-discovering build from 2015....
It's good to see Bleed Bow back after the previous nerfs. It was still always decent but nothing like it used to be.
When I was playing bleed bow gladiator the bleed from split arrow had ridiculously bad damage.

bleed bow has been good for a long time. Its just every bow char wants to be deadeye with TS. (and die in in 0.1 hit lol)
except bleed bow glad if built right is extremely tanky, and even if not built right its still tankier than deadeye
The power creep brought it back to more acceptable. I still don't think it is as dominating as it was back in the day.
With all due respect, this is scion with glad explode charm while also using pretty good adorned jewel. This league, I league started bleed bow glad, I managed to get all 4 stones with it but Glad ascendancy just feels kinda bad and also snipe with 8 max stages seems kinda pointless because a lot of the time standing still for more than 3 second is death.
Interesting, so by stacking bleed charms you're not stacking explode chance, you're scaling the amount of HP the exolosion is based off? Thats pretty cool, are the explosions noticeably stronger than other sources that way? Or maybe not so great without AoE scaling?

Wondering of tabky Chieftain with snipe and roa for explody note can be any good haha i mean the current stun to cast spells meta is bonkers, you can slap some shenanigans there
New contagion that would proliferate bleeds would be nice.
did a ssf bleed bow glad practice run without charms, pretty good once you get a ok phys bow from rog. snipe was the deal breaker for me tho.
It's sad that bow is the only good way to play bleed. My bleed fantasy is a dude slicing people up by coming close to them and slicing them with melee weapons, not an archer :

Frenzy stacking bleed with Ralakesh+Maven Belt is actually pretty good this league, but it's very expensive for what you get since you need so many synth items. I really hope next league is some Bleed and Dual Wield love. Glad's been in the dirt for so long.
Well, because some group of people (GGG) can't make an unique/support or active skill that will inflict snares like version for bows - Bleed trans EQ could be MASSIVE if thats introduced, but unfortunatly we only have Scuffed poison for melee (Crimson dance) that is semi viable.
@@Daxien gladiator sadly is very difficult to buff.. anything they add to glad makes Champ and slayer cracked because of Flesh/flame..
Man, you didn't even try with the gear. Practically none of the equipped items had mods to scale bleeding, only the passive tree. And still... 30M DPS. God...

Can i suggest something, add siege for kineticism, it doesnt stop new split arrow from working, automatically inflicts bleed and pushback. no need for bleed chance.
Not having chain makes the clear feel significantly worse tho
@@DoPtRiGGa why do you need chain, arrows split towards all enemies on the screen, and it hits hard and enemies explode. Guaranteed knockback gives you a bit of safety margin.
