I wasn’t always too fond of Monica’s parents because they treated her as second-best to Ross. I’ll bet Jack thinks of this as his worst birthday ever...
At first, but he accepts their relationship, because both are happy together- it's just odd, because Richard watched Monica grow up.
@@jackson5116 Richard is sick. He knew her since she was a baby. Mon dated him because she always had parent issues
@@nikidon99 where's the bullshit rule which says that you have to date someone your own age?
I’m just glad Jack never looked in Richard’s vhs collection. He did have a sex tape with Monica before he taped over it with another woman. Imagine Jack gellar accidentally seeing that!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Best acting in this episode to Ross.
And to think she would go out with the « son » in question
Constant Deffo Ross, Monica, and Richard’s reactions were priceless when Judy mentioned His son.
Richard: “That’s sounds interesting.”
Monica: “Hell, No”
Ross: This is a disaster in the making. Better stay close by.
Laura Schoenborn yep. Great acting, you can see that on their face
"That's not how your dad used to do it".
azh698 yep. Her answer exactly
Then after Richard and his son smash through Monica, she gets married to Chandler.
"Jack...could you come here for a moment!"Now!!!
01:37 I'll take that dad 🤣🤣🤣 perfect timing. That's classic Ross, always stealing the show
Can we appreciate how Richard stood up for her. “You’re not a twinky”
1:20 you can actually see the exact frame when her heart breaks in thousand pieces
Ross prevented a murder about 3 times there 😂
Ross removing anything of value/danger, and Jack's fake smile at the end - brilliant!
You saw how Judy said “your daughter and Richard”? Says a lot about her, I think.
Good point, and considering that she said that, why would she care if they're an item or not?
@@russkate88 probably jealous
@@AparnaBL true. She was probably hoping to have a gang bang with both Richard and Jack but now that Monica is with Richard he'll no longer be an option.
"Jack. Could you come in here for a moment? NOW!"😂
The “happy birthday” makes this scene even more hilarious 😄😄😄
"Doctor of meat" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah that was hilarious haha , can't believe more people dont point this out hehe
It's not about age but about the relationship Richard had with Monica & her parents from her childhood
Ross's dad deserved so much more screen time. Effortlessly funny
"Twinkie in the city" aka Monica
Of all the guys Monica dated, I liked Richard the most. They were so made for each other
Same
I know David Schwimmer is like the "lead actor" in FRIENDS but he shined the most in episodes where he had supporting roles like this. Too good.
He shined, especially in his own episodes. ''The one with Rosse's teeth'' or ''The One when Ross is fine '' - these are literally one of the funniest, best episodes of Friends, Ross had a ''lead'' storyline in them and he was brilliant as he always is.
@tdddxxxcar 78 Amen. David/Ross was the best, in fact. His comedy was waaay more brilliant and complex than Perry simply delivering his sarcastic lines because David not only delivered his lines in a brilliant way too, but he also was a master of a physical comedy, smth very, very hard.
I've seen that scene so many times I lost count... but FINALLY I "connect" Ross's reaction of taking the baseball bat off Jack's hands with _HIS_ (Ross's) reaction of _"GET OFF MY SISTEEEEEERRRR!!!!!!!"_ at seeing Chandler with Monica, from his _new-apartment-to-be_ ! No wonder he was afraid of his dad's reaction! Hahahahahahaha
1:04
Judy: "A real doctor?"
Monica: "No, a doctor of meat."
One of the best sas lines in this show. 😄

Jack: but Richard has a twinkie
Monica: i am the twinkie
Richard : SHE'S NOT A TWINKIE
.
I love Richard i think he is a great man for Monica 🙄
I think its a creepy relationship
@@murtazahamid6141 yea I agree. Pretty weird. For me it's not the age difference. It's the fact that she dated Richard's son and him and that Richard is friends with her parents.
@@jijumonm2345 honestly if Richard and Jack didn't know each other, maybe I would let it slide because Tom Selleck. Can't hate the man, but I digress. But then she dated his son and I gotta say AW HELLLLLLLLLLLL NAW
@@shady_the_one ikr. That's just weird to me lol
She had so much pressure from her parents. No wonder she ate everything in the house
I have no idea how I would handle this situation if I was Monica's mother.
It is the creepiest thing no doubt.
@@chavitanwar2126 creepy why? They're both adults and know what they're doing. It's not like she's 15 and he's 50!
@@lifeisbitvlover171 Your best friend dating your daughter is somewhat creepy. I cant imagine Joey dating Emma! It's just the same.
@@lifeisbitvlover171 It's creepy because Richard is still twice Monica's age and could easily be her dad. Would you like it if your mother was dating one of your friends? I suspect not.
“Upstairs, in the bathroom, right before you felt up Mom” is truly my favorite line of this season 😂😂😂
Damn she put them in their place
Probably seen this hilarious scene hundreds of times, but only now did I realize Ross takes the crystal glass from his Mom so it won't break when she gets the shock..
Imagine the feeling of a dad when you see your young daughter is in love with a guy who is in the same age as him.
The comedic timing of this series was always spot on perfect.
I wasn’t always too fond of Monica’s parents because they treated her as second-best to Ross. However, I felt they had a point in this scenario. 27 years is a big difference and yes Monica and Richard are two consenting adults who love each other however, you have to look at it from her Dad’s perspective. Imagine your best friend whom you grew up with since childhood came to you and told you that he and your daughter are in a relationship. Jack views Richard as a brother and having him and Monica in a relationship would be no different than her dating someone who’s actually blood related.
The end part never fails to make me laugh. It's like a climax of hilarity. 😂
Ross, perfectly carrying out his big brother duty!
Monica's mom reminds me of my mom. Traumatic childhood? You bet.
Reminds me of mine also.
I am sorry for both of you. Truly ❤
@@reneeg4817 you're sweet thank you
2:15 up the stairs in the bathroom right before you filled up mom 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
*felt up
Am I the only one here who finds the relationship creepy? Because i see so many comments saying how great they are.
Murtaza Hamid it cant be both? They work together as individuals, setting aside the creep factor. Remove the age issue and they’re great. It doesn’t stop being creepy, but honestly, is it really that absurd?
The Great Hambino he had known her since she was young.....
@@abehambino Yes, it is that absurd. And creepy. It's right up there with Phoebe's brother who marries his teacher. The difference is that they played that relationship as creepy and for laughs, but tried to play the Richard/Monica relationship as romantic.
I think it's kind of creepy just because Richard knew Monica since she was little. If they met when she was an adult and then they got into a relationship it wouldn't be creepy. The fact that Richard knew her as a little girl and fell in love with her is weird.
The Great Hambino idk it’s not really the age thing for me. But it’s more of the fact that he saw her grow up and he is her dad’s best friend.... 😳
Ross expression 😁😁😂😂
Ross doing a lot of damage control here.
When he just takes the bat out of his dad's hands. OH THE HUMOR!
I loved both Monica and Courtney Cox in this scene- the acting was amazing
It's the same person
This was one of the funniest scenes. Ross "I'll take that bat."
I like how Ross gets the glass out of his mom hands and the bat out of his dad's hands before they react
0:38 that ross: ohhw is hilarious timing xD
we gotta love ross for this awkwardness
Anybody else watching friends clips during quarantine ?
I loooooove ross in this scene hhhh it's hilarious how he gather all of the guests to sing the happy birthday song
1:19 Richards face 🤣😭 he was such a good character
This is one of the best scenes ever on the filmed.
So, many punches in just short 2-3mins only. Pure magic.
Schwimmer’s timing in this scene, though! 😆
I will take that, dad..
😁🤣😅
"It's been a while since your dad and I went jogging..."
ross out here being supportive and helping monica 😂
Ross is a whole lot more supportive of them than my brother ever was with my ex.
The Friends writers are so brilliant and hilarious
Just gently takes the crystalware out of her hands...😂😂😂
Upstairs in the bathroom right before you felt up mum...lol Monica 😂
Seriously siblings are the best lovers and enemies, 😁 see here how Ross helped Monica in this situation ❤️😂
"Am I supposed to stand here and listen to this on my birthday?" was the funniest line from Jack for me 😂
