My mama works at such an institution and she's giving her very best even though it's really tough :)

Me too. I feel apart missed work for several weeks
its intensely emotional if you have ever loved and possibly cared for an elderly person.
My Aunt had Alzheimer's disease very bad, and towards the end after I got out of the military I moved in with her for several months to help care for her. I worked late night so that I was there and awake during the day. We had great conversations, she was a worldly woman, travelled overseas, saw sights I wish I could go see. She worked 40 years in a factory producing textiles and retired from there. She could recall everything from before she got the disease with astounding clarity, I can remember how her eyes would light up as you listened to her stories.
It was unbelievably hard watching her slip further and further away... and so fast.
I woke up one morning and she was gone... She was battling Pneumonia. The doctors said she lost her breath at some point in the night, and never woke up. Im not ashamed to admit I cried for quite a while before I could call the priest to have her last rights read.
Ill never forget my Aunt Lucy, nor her faithful companion PeeWee (a little ankle biter dog)
Or her bloodsucking parasites known as "family" after she passed... but that's a different story. (Even now, almost 20 years later it boils my blood)

Biggest a hole are those who abandoned their parents in old age I can understand sometimes people disowned family members for person reason or fight but there still so many people who been good yet they end up in old age home

He was withholding bathing to make them comply. Used bathing as a punishment.

He was witholding bathing if they weren't doing what he wanted like being difficult to nurses or not taking their drugs
Combined with being in a bed Inez could've developed very painful bed sores that could be infected by her human waste she lies in.

imagine that they offer her baths and she refuses and gets violent, then she pulls this with Will. Then the guy that says let me explain was going to tell him that she has some dementia and that they have been giving her baths. Because that is usually the reality, coming from someone who works in a hospital. But instead of letting him explain he just decks him. How would you like to be in the supervisors shoes if that is the case and the patient is just a little confused, but no one wants to hear that. But it can be proven if you wait and observe her long enough.
I agree. I worked in places like this too. But we know she wasn't out of her mind bc he saw how he spoke to her when he first got there
