    Awesome. I love recycling.. never would had thought of this... I want to take my old stained or holey sweaters and any other clothes and turn it into yarn. Why throw away when you can reuse. Thank you for sharing

    I'm super new to sewing but I challenged myself to make a hoodie from a blanket I bought at the thrift store for $2! The weave is a bit larger than this one and it will probably fall apart, but I did the same thing you did here!

    Hey looks great! Quick question, why would you not sew the piece inside out so you don’t see any of the stitching and fraying on the outside?

    I think I would have sewn the tapestry on then cut the hoodie away underneath it. Similar to reverse embroidery. Same outcome.

      Thank you Jason. They won’t undo themselves that easy as it’s from a surger machine and then go back on them with my single stitch so it’s 100% fine.

      I got my brother jx17fe as a gift and it’s good enough. Don’t stress too much about what you’re getting as a first. It’s no gaming pc ;) get one and get started. Keep me posted

    Hey, could you possibly list your sewing machine settings, what kind of needles are needed and if you need a specific thread please

      I used what came with the package, never looked into specific needles.
      Thread I used gutterman all purpose.
      Machine settings: straight or zig zag stitch and tension it depends.

    hey bro I made my own tapestry and I think it came out really good but I’ve been wearing it a lot, do you have any ways to wash it? I just don’t want to mess up the tapestry in the washer

      cold water, air dry is your safest option.
      Just never put it in the dryer and it should be fine.

      This is a brother machine around 100-130$, single stitch. Perfect for beginners in my opinion.

    when your stitching the tapestry on the hoodie, how do you get it to not stictch the other side of the hoodie? i'm trying to stitch some tapestry on my pants but it stitches the back part too and closes the pant legs

      you stitch inside basically, which is easy for hoodies. But for pants, you'll need to unstitch the leg to have the jeans flat. Hope this helps. Don't hesitate to google tutorials on youtube too. Best of luck

      For the US, just google “custom woven blanket” for Europe, it’s way too expensive so I don’t even bother. I found this one in thrift store

      in the US, just google "custom woven blanket", in Europe, it's still a mystery to me to be honest. I found 1 options that would run 200e per blanket which is So expensive.

      It’s a industrial machine that’s used by companies that make custom blankets and all. Not sure if it exist at a commercial level.

    The picture needs to be inside the hoodie not on the hoodie, looks weird if u just sewed the picture on the hoodie then why even cut the black hoodie? haha i dont hate just sayn it supposto be underneath the black hoodie lol
