It's actually not that bad for the pals who are common. Getting a pal like Anubis to 4 stars is absolutely a big grind, but all pals like sweepa and dromund won't take you very long at all.
@Tigatron1448 I did it with blazemut but by the time I even got all of the passives I wanted on him I had enough got 3 stars so it's not too bad to be fair. Just need a lot of cakes 😂
They need to add breeding speed settings to the world settings to help with this issue. Then all you would have to do is get a breeding pair and just make a bunch of cakes.

Still doesn't change the fact that he very CLEARLY made that thumbnail implying you could make that Pal with Anubis and Dumud currently, and you people defending him and not calling him on his bullshit is why people like him continue to do it.
If you have wixen it makes your attacks fire then you can buff fire damage and also have vanguatd on all of them to buff your own damage pair that with the assault rifle this would work with any pal that changes the players attack element like wixen
Wixen and other pals like it, as well as the mounts with the same effect (except for Frostallion and Frostallion Noct), don't change your element, they instead add an extra bit of damage to your attacks which is elemental. So like, if your base damage is 100, Wixen will add +10 Fire damage to that, but the base 100 stays untyped (or whatever type you were using, Fire for Fire Arrows etc.) But yeah, 4x Wixen + Ragnahawk means +140% damage to player attacks in the form of Fire damage, while mounted on the Ragnahawk. But I think the Frostallion Noct is better for this, since it doubles its own attack AND yours while mounted, so your mount can deal good damage too. And you can then choose to either boost your own attack by another +40% with 4x Nox, or the Frostallion Noct's attack by another +80% with 4x Hoocrates
I still think legendary weapon are currently the strongest and a little bit unbalanced. with 4 vanguard gobifins, 2x +2 atk accessoires, 49 atk via leveling and 20% atk bufffood over 500 atk is possible and does up to 17+k with legendary launcher on the final tower boss. the legendary rifle hits 700+ on krit spot as far I can remember.
@@marcus5737 Helzephyr too for a flying mount, or lots of ground mounts work the same (Chillet, Univolt, Azurobe, Maraith, Pyrin and Pyrin Noct), adding extra typed damage to your hits equal to 100% of the normal hit at rank 5. Frostallion and Frostallion Noct also work in almost the same way, changing your attacks to Ice or Dark respectively, then boosting that damage type by 100%, though of course that's a double-edged sword since it also means 100% of your damage can be resisted by some elements too, whereas for the others the base portion of your damage is still typeless, it's just the extra damage added by the pals that's of a certain type You can also use Wixen or Nox to add another 10% player attack per pal as typed damage, but I'm not sure how they compare to Gobfin since I couldn't find the values for his partner skill
It just takes so long to breed the pals with the 4 traits, levling him up and looking for all the souls. And thats just for one. I dumped all my souls in weaker ones before breeding and then realized they capped out at like 700 dmg and half are weak to end game bosses like Dark and Ice. One tip, Dark and Ice pals get pretty weak endgame against all the fire and dragon pals. Water, Fire and Dragon pals are the way to go.

I found a bug just like the one in KOTOR2 for xbox with the lightsaber crystal stacking. If you have a mountable pal, while mounted and a full party of buff pals, drop all the buff pals, move a few feet away, dismount, pick up the palballs, and repead. The number will stack over and over. I did this for an hour and one shot everything. It does not save like that, and if you move the pal at all, it will go back to normal.
So no love for Dragons? I'm at a level in a multiplayer game where I can make a Quivern saddle and wanted to boost attack it but guess its not an option. Why are our giant scaly fire breathing (sometimes) friends left out?

Ive actually been working on something like this for a few days with dark types, using Necromus as my main who I have at 4 stars with amazing passives. Shadowbeak who is also 4 star with amazing passives and then 3 Hoocrates who are all almost 4 star and they all have the same passives.
if i run frostallion and have a bunch of foxcicle in the party, and give my foxcicles musclehead ferious will they also apply to buffing frostallion dmg or only partner skill will do?

I have a home base where I breed pals, cook food, farm stone and wood and etc. I have a second base strictly for mining coal and ignor! I don’t need an exact location but what type of farm/base would you recommend as a last base? I’m looking forward to you feedback! Thank you so much!
If you already have an ore + coal base and a food + breeding base (Same here) then you're good! Maybe just place a palbox on the quartz mountain and go mining whenever you have a minute until you have enough that you're satisfied and then destroy it, since there's sulfur right beside the volcano boss fight teleporter so don't need a palbase there to TP to. For end game stuff you need an insane amount of Pal metal and it's very expensive to make so maybe once you've gathered quartz (I got 1k and have yet to use it all at level 50 with most science unlocks aside from cosmetic base furniture) just make a second ore and coal base, or another breeding base since those are the main end game grinds.
Make a 3rd base somewhere and make it all about mining stone, logging, and handiwork. This will produce gunpowder, metal, carbon fiber, polymer for you. Convert your original base into a pure breeding base. Have 2 breeding pens and lots of ranches for milk, honey, eggs. This will level you up much quicker because you can just breed everything quickly to level up. All you really need for endgame is Ore, Sulfur, High Quality Pal Oil, coal/charcoal, wood, stone, Paldium, bones, pal fluids, and only like 200 quartz at the most. You might want more quartz depending on how many machiness you wanna build.

Have a breeding base. until you reach lvl 43/44 have anlther ore base and stock up on ore , just purely ore. Theres 2 places at the volcano island area with 9 ore nodes. Spam anubis there. Then when you reach 43/44 replace the volcano ore base with a quartz base in the snow area close to ice kingpaca. Theres 8 quartz nodes and a bonus ore one for more anubis spam.
i wanted to do a felbat and 4 daedreams with vanguard/stronghold specialist to be really tanky . i haven't seen anyone use the felbat or lovander lifesteals at high levels so I'm not sure if its really worth it
I think there's just so many ways to approach things, that a lot of the good methods will end up existing in obscurity, because the "meta" in games always tends to wear blinders. Also, too much focus on the 'big' numbers can lead to under-appreciation of other important factors, like the speed needed to be good positionally, etc. Or in your case, the durability of lifesteal. I'm kinda armchair-theorizing though. I'm only mid-level, and mostly just running around with a modestly buffed katress cuz I need more drops. Skill is kinda overlooked in all this too. I was in a bad spot with mostly dead pals (only a mount left), and beat a boss I likely shouldn't have beaten, by cheesing the e-button to pop my pal out of all the big telegraphed attacks, and then immediately throwing him back in to continue fighting. Definitely don't need an ultra-min-max approach to clear all the content though. But it's fun to tinker with :) I'd say go for it. I was kinda curious about a felbat regen approach too :) The 'meta' will always be pretty narrow minded, cuz it's so heavily copy-pasta & group-think. I'm reminded of an MMO i played about a decade ago, where my guild did many 'world firsts', without any guides, just refining our own methods & loadouts and studying the fight mechanics. We didn't write any guides though. And then later on if I got in a pug, it was like the rest of the team was helpless without trying for some map exploit or something, cuz that's what they read as the way to do it. Our approaches 'worked' and rarely had much resemblance to the guide-methods everyone else used. There were a lot of things we just did different. Sometimes not as good as the meta. But surprisingly often just as good or better than the meta.
imagine that I don't have access to high level saddles. My favourite combo is just throwing my OP as all hell Shadowbeak at whatever comes my way, and it kills it. Too bad I can't mount it.
High damage individual Pals maybe, but not the highest damage teams. Pretty sure the highest damage teams is to take only 2-3 of the damage boosters (depending on move cycle speed, and if you're willing to abuse the separate mount cooldown thing), and then have 2-3 big hitters to cycle through to help fill cooldown gaps.
the info on lord of the sea being exclusive to jormuntide is not accurate. Pretty sure any pal can get that skill through crossbreeding, its just only available to start with on jormuntide so you need a breeding chain that starts with him.
at 7:40 or so he says it can only be passed down to a jormuntide, I dont know if thats just me misunderstanding what he means but just to clarify the skill can be passed on to ANY pal as long as the parent has the skill
People out here really trying to make team building as boring as possible. "Pick your favorite attacker and just add 4 of the same Pal with an elemental passive".
The data mined info shows that the Elemental Traits only apply to skills classed as "Shot" skills, and does not apply to melee skills. So Earth Emperor on Anubis if running the exclusive skills is quite literally a wasted trait. Since all of Anubis's exclusive skills are classified as "melee"
Well the Frostsllion does 6+6k on the frost wings and another 5k on the Spike. Then dismount and it does 3+3 and 2.5 on its own. The Toco launcher does almost as much as the legendary rocket launcher when upgraded. And obvs you don’t need to craft rocket ammo
Usually they go 4 stacks of the mentioned pals. What you can do to boost more damage is breed each stack with 4 passives like Vanguard, stronghold strategist, and +2 for work like mine foreman and motivational leader. I did for my setup and I can say it has more dps compared to the video since you stacked your own damage and def boost also. Reset all your stats and put under attack.
@@mr.greengrim4044it's best to have 2 passive skills for each parents. This will further increase your chance of you getting all passives you desire into one pal. Or maybe even 3 and 1 passives on the parents. Or 4 and 0 passives on the parents. Don't overlap two same passives as it has higher chance of mutating it into different passive. And don't breed more than 4 passives total inside the breeding farm if you want to enhance the rate of passing the passive you want. And finally, have patience. So yeah, conclusion is, the lesser the trait the parents have, the better. Ideally 2 for each parent. And keep the pals with 0 passives. They are valuable in passing passives.
Dood, you're really that crazy farming 1000s of same pals for just the passive bonus lvl.. I can't even farm 4 passives on the same pals as it's taking me days and not one has all 4 desired passives.
It’s not that bad once you realize the less stats you throw in the mix, the more chances are for a good outcome. I covered it in the video before this but going for 2 stats per parent ( say musclehead and ferocious on one, legend and lucky on the other) drastically reduces the attempts needed for a good outcome . At least from what I experienced
It seems instead of running around fighting and catching pals, you know having fun. The game has turned into a breeding simulator game, boring! Getting the breed farm at level 19 is way too early. It should be more like level 35/40 when you get it. Also you shouldn't be able to find high level pals eggs right out the gate either
There is literally no point in doing this lol. Farm legendary items and set your player up right. Your player damage will always output more than pals in terms of DPS. All your battles id do in a fraction of the time with no pals.
It must be some internal range for these stats. I’ve been breeding pals non stop the past week and the damage, defense and hp can vary by up to a few hundred points
yeah i agree, i think it can definitely suck. personally i think pokemon shouldve taken out IVs a long long time ago, they dont lend themselves outside of trick room teams to really fine tune, or on types weak to dark/foul play. i just dont think it has a place here tbh. especially cause it can definitely influence how accessible pvp/pal arena is going to be overall for folks i think@@ItsTheRedKirby

Try riding Beakon or Ragnahawk while running that setup. At lvl 5 passive they give 100% increase to our attack while riding.

Turns out neutral pals got 2 buffer pals, ribbunny, and cremis
I suggest also getting vanguard for your team, so you will do 40% extra damage too.
Could also go the extra mile like I did getting all 4 with Vanguard/Stronghold Specialist/Logging & Mine Foreman.

No muscle head/ferocious only buff the pals attack that it's equipped on.

Are any low level pals viable to defeat lvl 50 bosses ? like ranking up cativa or tanzee ?

High damage individual Pals maybe, but not the highest damage teams. Pretty sure the highest damage teams is to take only 2-3 of the damage boosters (depending on move cycle speed, and if you're willing to abuse the separate mount cooldown thing), and then have 2-3 big hitters to cycle through to help fill cooldown gaps.
You can reset cooldowns by dropping and repicking up a pal. So you can run high cooldown moves and go insane.
the info on lord of the sea being exclusive to jormuntide is not accurate. Pretty sure any pal can get that skill through crossbreeding, its just only available to start with on jormuntide so you need a breeding chain that starts with him.
at 7:40 or so he says it can only be passed down to a jormuntide, I dont know if thats just me misunderstanding what he means but just to clarify the skill can be passed on to ANY pal as long as the parent has the skill

Yep. Initially I went for 3 stars. More manageable and you get most of the buffs

You could rank up a Chillet a couple times and use it's dragon type buff to deal insane amounts of damage with a rocket launcher

The data mined info shows that the Elemental Traits only apply to skills classed as "Shot" skills, and does not apply to melee skills.
So Earth Emperor on Anubis if running the exclusive skills is quite literally a wasted trait. Since all of Anubis's exclusive skills are classified as "melee"

Well the Frostsllion does 6+6k on the frost wings and another 5k on the Spike. Then dismount and it does 3+3 and 2.5 on its own. The Toco launcher does almost as much as the legendary rocket launcher when upgraded. And obvs you don’t need to craft rocket ammo

Are there any passives you can put on the 4 pals to boost the bonus damage on your main pal even more?
No
Usually they go 4 stacks of the mentioned pals. What you can do to boost more damage is breed each stack with 4 passives like Vanguard, stronghold strategist, and +2 for work like mine foreman and motivational leader. I did for my setup and I can say it has more dps compared to the video since you stacked your own damage and def boost also. Reset all your stats and put under attack.

in the world settings its the pal spawn rate. you can up it to 3x spawn rate and it effects alpha spawns too

How do you pass the legend skill to other pals when i try it doesnt happen am i just unlucky?
unlucky, i think its a 50% chance for any 1 skill to pass down and that decreases the more skills the parents have

@@mr.greengrim4044it's best to have 2 passive skills for each parents. This will further increase your chance of you getting all passives you desire into one pal. Or maybe even 3 and 1 passives on the parents. Or 4 and 0 passives on the parents. Don't overlap two same passives as it has higher chance of mutating it into different passive. And don't breed more than 4 passives total inside the breeding farm if you want to enhance the rate of passing the passive you want. And finally, have patience.
So yeah, conclusion is, the lesser the trait the parents have, the better. Ideally 2 for each parent. And keep the pals with 0 passives. They are valuable in passing passives.
How do you get legend on Anubis in particular? I can't find the line to do it

Dood, you're really that crazy farming 1000s of same pals for just the passive bonus lvl.. I can't even farm 4 passives on the same pals as it's taking me days and not one has all 4 desired passives.
It’s not that bad once you realize the less stats you throw in the mix, the more chances are for a good outcome. I covered it in the video before this but going for 2 stats per parent ( say musclehead and ferocious on one, legend and lucky on the other) drastically reduces the attempts needed for a good outcome . At least from what I experienced

It seems instead of running around fighting and catching pals, you know having fun. The game has turned into a breeding simulator game, boring! Getting the breed farm at level 19 is way too early. It should be more like level 35/40 when you get it. Also you shouldn't be able to find high level pals eggs right out the gate either
There is literally no point in doing this lol. Farm legendary items and set your player up right. Your player damage will always output more than pals in terms of DPS. All your battles id do in a fraction of the time with no pals.
Anyone know if Ragnahawk is supposed to enhance damage as well? I was shooting my shotgun and it seemed like it became incendiary rounds
how does your anubis have 1800 attack? mines 4 star, 50, same passives, and mines only at like 1600
It must be some internal range for these stats. I’ve been breeding pals non stop the past week and the damage, defense and hp can vary by up to a few hundred points

it's kind of like pokemon IVs where they have values that determine their stat ranges. It sucks if you're trying to min-max lol.
yeah i agree, i think it can definitely suck. personally i think pokemon shouldve taken out IVs a long long time ago, they dont lend themselves outside of trick room teams to really fine tune, or on types weak to dark/foul play. i just dont think it has a place here tbh. especially cause it can definitely influence how accessible pvp/pal arena is going to be overall for folks i think@@ItsTheRedKirby
