The only mini pc I'm interested in is the HX90G Neptune Series, only because it has a discreet 8GB GPU!!! No need for a keyboard/mouse or 540Hz desktop screen and with SteamOS you have your PC gaming needs filled. Sure it's not all nice and full HD but it does the job.
I'd love to know how you got even close to 70 FPS on Cyberpunk with this rig. Playing it on the SER6 now, and struggling to get a constant 30 fps on lowest settings.
Probably using one, Cyber punk's latest update which has FSR 2.1 plus, he's usually using fsr on performance in most videos typically. So that'll typically net you 10 15 more fps minimums 🙂
I love these videos you do. But I always question what’s the angle with these? Like you can get way more price to performance with a $350 used PC. Sure you spend more on power consumption, but at what point down the line do you break even on that power savings? Only time these make sense is if you say live in a van and have limited space but still want to game and have a pc to edit videos on. Or maybe you travel a lot (but even then you have to always bring a monitor with you, you’d be better off grabbing a laptop for that) Maybe in the future we’ll get to a point where this makes sense from a price-performance standpoint but until then this is cool to see!
It is a different market. Ignoring the "gotta have it" trend of these new form factors, there is the practical aspect of people wanting a device they can have disappear behind their monitor / fit in a small location / take up only a smidge of desk space then a standard sized PC is not going to cut it. Then there is the sector of folks that just want their systems to be efficient for a variety of reasons. I don't think anyone is shopping these because it is the cheapest option for gaming since, obviously, it isn't - especially when you consider that used GPU prices are plummeting right now.
@@JPMonteith makes sense. I do see the benefits of having something small. I’m just curious to hear from that specific market, know what they use it for etc
To do the egpu setup in your video, could you add the links for the equipiment? I wanted to know if the setup is viable after price. It seems like for the thunderbolt cord, the graphic card, and your dock it may cost double the pc price but I was hoping to see. Also if you know of a cheaper way to set this up and could show a video that would be great. Thanks.
I would LOVE to see this pushed to it's limits straight up against the Minisforum UM690. That UM690 has been in my Amazon cart for a long time now (months) & I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on it until I know for sure it's the Mini PC king of the hill... My buy of the Gigabyte GB-BRR7H-4800 was a terrible one except for the number of USB and USB-C ports it has. But it's never able to do anything but Thermal Throttle and all I'm doing is editing video in Avidemux. I need to buy something better and if you have an Amazon benefit I'd even buy the best option after clicking your link to anything then I'll search for whichever is best & buy it.
Purchased last night. I didn't hear back from ETA Prime so I can only assume he wouldn't have received any benefit from Amazon as a result. The Morefine M600 may show slightly better testing numbers than the UM690 but buying it when I cannot find any evidence that the supposed 2 NVMe sockets can be used in a RAID doesn't seem to make sense (Minisforum has been around for longer and seems to have a good track history for the products). If that Morefine M600 could have been used with the 2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe drives in Raid 1 I far more likely would have bought it. 2 Seagate FireCuda 530 2TB NVMe drives in RAID 1? Holy heck that would be fast as heck! Even in my PS5 my 4TB Seagate 530 gives 7,634 MB/s and 2 in RAID 1 could be 15,276 MB/s and that would be monstrous. That would have made it my 1st choice. But ETA Prime's 1st video about the UM690 was enough to make it my buy. So thank you ETA Prime!
The performance is amazing no doubt but i think this chip deserved a slightly bigger chasis like the one in GTR models as the CPU is running quite hot...and may be thats why beelink locked the TDP adjustment in the BIOS
are you a mind reader? I just bought this and its delivering today 1/6/2023. Was looking through your videos for a review yesterday and this morning boom. Hope I made a good decision!!

Only time these make sense is if you say live in a van and have limited space but still want to game and have a pc to edit videos on. Or maybe you travel a lot (but even then you have to always bring a monitor with you, you’d be better off grabbing a laptop for that)
Maybe in the future we’ll get to a point where this makes sense from a price-performance standpoint but until then this is cool to see!
How the hell did they get it to understand $700 that's amazing
Wonderful machine actually BeeLink are the best in dis category
To do the egpu setup in your video, could you add the links for the equipiment? I wanted to know if the setup is viable after price. It seems like for the thunderbolt cord, the graphic card, and your dock it may cost double the pc price but I was hoping to see. Also if you know of a cheaper way to set this up and could show a video that would be great. Thanks.
I just bought one of these and will get it in a few days... first thing I'm going to try to do is water cool it lol... just because.
In the future please include thermals for those who aim for efficiency and/or workstation use.
The brick is as big as the PC! 🤣👍
Are there any older versions like this that are closer to $100? I have a garage that I want to put a tiny work computer in for looking up parts.
Nowhere near 100 I don't think
The performance is amazing no doubt but i think this chip deserved a slightly bigger chasis like the one in GTR models as the CPU is running quite hot...and may be thats why beelink locked the TDP adjustment in the BIOS
Holy shit it's using 60W? Compared to the 6800U, it's getting 10% boost for double the watt.
6800u is also binned differently. Usually the low power parts are higher quality.
Sad day indeed, Ken Block was such a huge influence in the automotive world. Will be missed
Great vid, we need hdmi 2.1 tho
Hoonicorn tribute . . .
Such sad news this week.
😭😭😭
Is this the most powerful? I had the impression the Minisforum had the same apu and performing a bit better? I was almost convinced to get that one
R.i.p Ken you will be missed
I would like to know how good is this at running emulators? Specifically gamecube and PS2 related emulators possibly PS3.
RiP ken man bought tears to my eyes i watched alot of his videos as a kid really sad to c
Per core performance is 2 times faster than haswell 3.5GHz cores... Overall performance is almost 3 times of 4c/8t hasswell cores.
Unreal! 🤯
are you a mind reader? I just bought this and its delivering today 1/6/2023. Was looking through your videos for a review yesterday and this morning boom. Hope I made a good decision!!
